Kagome stopped behind InuYasha and stared in open shock as SesshoMaru turned and threw off a huge energy blast at the dark- SOMETHING- that was following him from the trees. His swordplay was a little off-course, however, because held in his arm...
"what the hell..." InuYasha muttered beside her. "Kagura?"
Kagome could see the wind sorceresses Kimono was dripping with blood. "what happened to her?" she wondered, before looking to the creature attacking them. "it feels so evil..." Kagome was jerked out of her thoughts when InuYasha bellowed "KONGOUSOUHA!", sending a blast at the creature. SesshoMaru stopped and glared at InuYasha.
"Begone, hanyou," he called. "This is my fight."
"The hell it is!" InuYasha snarled, drawing back Tessaiga again. "I don't know what that this is, but it stinks too evil for me to just walk away!"
"Is it one of Naraku's?" Kagome asked, but even as she said it, she noticed that the creature's back was unblemished- no scar. Still, she nocked back an arrow and let it fly towards the creature...
