INTRODUCTIONS

Kagome sat on stone steps that led up to her family shrine as she watched various cars go by. She really didn't pay attention to them till a loud red truck came zooming by. Kagome raised an eyebrow slightly as she watched it pull around the corner and pull into the driveway of her friend Kouga's house. Kouga lived on the street across from Kagome's shrine and had been best friends since they were little. They had tried the girlfriend/boyfriend thing late in elementary school, but they got into a huge fight once and didn't talk for the longest time. Eventually things cooled over and they were friends again, though Kagome always felt that Kouga wanted to take their friendship further but she wouldn't allow it.

Her eyes drifted back to the new stranger that pulled up in Kouga's driveway. She watched him as he stepped out of his truck. He was tall, about a good head over Kagome, and had shiny silver hair, Kagome narrowed her eyes as she looked at him more closely.... were those dog ears? A demon… or at least she thought so, something was odd about it. Kouga was a wolf demon, and had introduce her to a lot of his pack as he called it. Kagome didn't know.. nor that she really cared. There were constant talks of human vs. demon. Kagome really didn't care, she knew a few demons at school and while some of them were assholes, others just kept to their business. Kagome sighed, her best friend Sango was an exterminator, a demon exterminator. She was kinda like the police for the demon population, some demons got out of hand sometimes, just like some humans did.

Kagome watched with waning interest as Kouga and the new boy conversed. wonder whats going on over there, maybe I should go over, nah he'll think I'm barging in. Kagome just watched them lift the hood of Kougas old Ford Pinto, oh gods are they trying to work on that old thing again.. if they're not careful they'll blow themselves up. Various thoughts like these ran through Kagome's head, till she finally saw a little ford mustang zoom by with Miroku and Sango in it. They both waved at Kagome as they drove on past, what is going on that I don't know about? Might as well go over then Kagome placed her hands on her knees and pushed herself up. Walking over she smirked as she walked up and Sango noticed her, "Hey, Kagome, was wondering when you were going to drag yourself over here" Kagome chuckled.
"I didn't even know you guys were getting together, you could've called me" Kagome complained. Miroku rolled his eyes, "we didn't call because we knew you would come over once you saw us." Kagome flushed slightly as she realized they were right. She took a deep breathe and looked over at Kouga. "Hey, Kouga what are you doing?" Kouga looked out from behind the raised hood of the Pinto. "Hey Kagome, was wondering when you were going to come over," Kagome glowered slightly at this. "We're just working on the Pinto for a bit. There's Kool-Aid in the house if you and Sango want some". Kouga smiled and went back under the hood.

Kagome placed her hands on her hips, "Kouga, aren't you forgetting something?" Kouga looked back up again with a confused look on his face. "Who's that with you under the hood? or are you both just hiding in the closet?" Kagome smirked mischievously. Suddenly the silver hair boy popped his head out. "HEY! Who do you think you're talking to bitch?" He screamed at her.

Kagome was just slightly taken about at the demon, his eyes were gold, she's never seen that before. Quickly regaining her composure Kagome glowered and then looked back up at him. "Well I would know if someone would introduce me since you all are such friends and I'm being left out" Kagome yelled back.

The boy looked surprised at her outburst and then looked at her as if he was really looking at her for the first time, "oh, I'm Inuyasha"

Kagome smiled and nodded. "I'm Kagome"

A/N so what do you think? tell me and Ill continue to write if I dont get any reviews I know I suck and try again. Believe me took me forever just to post this and what not. I would write this one down, get mad at it. try to start another one.
