A/N: I do not own inuyasha or any of the characters, so don't sue! heheh

Thanks for all the reviews, and to my reviewers I realized after that the quotation marks weren't in there.. primarily because of the reason that my computer is old and I use Microsoft works and MediaMiner doesn't recognize those, so I'm trying to do something else, and hopefully it works.

A little history.

Inuyasha stared at the raven hair girl who stood in front of him. She wore a tight spaghetti strap tank top, and low rise hip hugger jeans. His mouth involuntarily went dry. He just stood staring at her for the longest time. He saw her slight blush when she noticed him staring at her, and he shook his head a bit to clear it.

snap out of it dude he thought to himself, but she looks so much like her Inuyasha continued thinking. He shook his head again, and went back under the hood of the pinto, needing to keep his mind on something else beside the girl in front of him. He realized there was a slight tightness in his pants. what the fuck... I meet her for two seconds and this happens? What's wrong with me? Inuyasha reached in and started to try to get the spark plugs out, cursing as he did so.


Kagome raised an eyebrow slightly, he was just staring at her and she couldn't figure out why. She never really thought of herself as pretty, she was always made fun of because she was different and lived at a shrine, everyone had always called her ugly. She began looking him over as well and blushed as thoughts creped into her mind.

what are you doing? He's a total jerk ! he yelled at you the first moment that you met and your thinking about what he looks like without his shirt on. get a grip girl! Kagome scolded herself. She shook her head slightly and looked over at Sango who was giving her an odd look.

"What's wrong with you?" Sango asked.

"Nothing, I'm perfectly fine" She said with a chuckle and started walking towards the house, "I'm just thirsty, lets go get that Kool-Aid." Sango nodded in agreement and followed after her, when Sango called out to the boys to see if they wanted any, they all nodded their heads in agreement too busy working on the Pinto.

Once inside Kagome took a deep breathe and steadied herself, running a hand through her hair. Sango followed in afterwards and smirked at Kagome. "you like him don't you?" Sango asked. Kagome spun around and looked at Sango like she was crazy.

"Like who?" She asked.

"You like Inuyasha" Sango stated matter of factly.

"Are you crazy? No I don't. I just met the guy, and he yelled at me for no reason, why should I like him. He's a Jerk" Kagome replied angrily as she searched for the sugar.

Sango just chuckled and nodded her head, "True, he can be a jerk, trust me. Miroku and him have been friends for a while, but he's a nice guy sometimes, and he's hot too"

Kagome turned around and raised an eyebrow. "They have been friends for a while?! "Why am I just meeting him now ?"

Sango just shrugged as an answered and grabbed three glasses, not even thinking about it Kagome grabbed the last two and they both headed back outside.

Smirking Sango went directly to Kouga and Miroku handing them their glasses, leaving a glowering Kagome with the only glass left to give to Inuyasha. Sango just gave an all knowning smile back and turned and kissed Miroku. Taking a deep breathe Kagome went up to Inuyasha and stood by him. "um.. here you go" she said, looking anywhere but him. Sango, I'm going to kill you is all she thought as she tried to get control of the heat rising to her face.


Inuyasha looked up and saw Kagome handing him a glass of Kool-Aid. He smirked slightly as she blush before him. Without even realizing he was doing it, he reached out for the glass and wrapped his hand around hers. Her eyes shot up at him, and her face went deep red. He smirked even more as he smelt her arousal. "Thanks" He smirked at her and pulled the glass away, taking a large drink. He heard her mumble your welcome and she turned on her heel and walked over to where Sango was. Inuyasha couldn't help but watch her backside as she retreated. nice ass, would love to grab that.. He stopped suddenly realizing what he was thinking. He just shook his head slowly and put the glass down and looked over at Miroku. "Hey you idiot are you just gonna stand there and play kissy face with that wench or are you going to come over here and help us?" He yelled at Miroku.

Miroku sighed slightly and nodded his head, giving Sango one last kiss before he headed back over to the car. He nodded at Kagome as he passed. Sango and Kagome grabbed lawn chairs out of the garage and went to sit in front of the car watching the boys work on it. The front of the car was facing out towards the street, and the girls had their back towards the street. For a while they all just chatted amongst themselves, the boys occasionally yelling at each other, while the girls just laughed about things that were happening around school and such. The heard a thumping off in the distance, none of them really paid any attention to it, it was something that was to be expected in the city.

Kagome lifted her head in the direction of the sound, "Why do guys always have to beef up their stereo system so that you can hear them a mile away?" she asked slightly annoyed.

"So that they can make up for other parts of their body" Sango replied giggling.

"Sango! Jeez, you're almost as bad as Miroku sometimes!" Kagome scolded teasingly.

"eh, I guess he has rubbed off on me after a while." Sango smiled. Kagome only rolled her eyes and started to examine some of the gunk under her nails. The distant thumping seemed to be getting louder and louder, making Kagome wonder if someone else was coming over Kouga's house.

Suddenly she heard loud pops coming from behind her. She pushed herself out of her chair quickly and turned around to see where it was coming from, dropping her glass in the process. A black Trans Am was moving slowly down the street with a skinny black tube coming from the window. It was being held by a girl, that Kagome knew only too well... Kikyo.

Kikyo and Kagome have always been enemies, for as long as she could remember. She doesn't quite know why, and would just rather get on with her life than be harassed by Kikyo every day. At school Kagome did her best to avoid her. She would often think it was because they looked alike, but yet were different. Kikyo was part of the popular crowd a big reason why Kagome wasn't. Kikyo would throw food at Kagome, trip her in the hallway, and sometimes Kikyo and her friends would beat up Kagome for no reason at all. Kagome never fought back, she just didn't feel like it. Kagome made elaborate plots to embarrass her. Kikyo's little sister, Kaede, and Kagome were friends from band class, but Kaede always came over Kagome's house and not the other way around. Kaede didn't even really know why Kikyo hated Kagome so much. Kaede had help Kagome get baby pictures of Kikyo. She had found a really good one of Kikyo playing with her spoiled diaper and placing it on her head. Kagome made copies and passed them around school. Things have gotten a lot worse since then. Kagome almost regrets doing it, but loves to hear people calling Kikyo shit head all the time.

Kagome recognized the paintball feeder on top of the gun and momentarily sighed in relief when she realized that she wasn't going to be seriously hurt. Instinct did get the better of her when a paintball whizzed by her face and she ducked to avoid getting hit, but before she could even do it she was pulled to the ground from behind and large weight was suddenly on top of her.

Inuyasha cursed to himself as he heard the car some ways away. He recognized that song, it was one that Naraku always played in that stupid little car of his. As the car drew nearer Inuyasha caught the scent of the car and knew for sure it was Naraku. he must have followed me here why else would he come around this part of the neighborhood. Naraku hang out in the back alley streets, and they were in complete suburbia right now. His ears twitch as he listened to the car come closer, he silently wished that it wasn't heading his way, but he knew they were coming. Inuyasha and Naraku have been enemies for sometime now. Inuyasha was dating Kikyo at the time, but Naraku had wanted her. He even challenged Naraku to a few fights and Inuyasha usually won. He was weak back then, but he had a cunning mind. Naraku had set Inuyasha up. Putting him in a situation with one of the girls from his gang, Kagura. Kagura had come up to Inuyasha after school, they didn't go to the same school as Kagome and Kikyo, telling him that she needed to talk to him about Naraku. Once he met up with her, she grabbed him and pulled him into a forced kiss, all the while Naraku was videotaping and later showed it to Kikyo. Inuyasha tried to explain that it was a set up, but Kikyo couldn't see passed her hatred and left Inuyasha for Naraku. Ever since then, they have both plagued him.

Inuyasha saw the barrel coming out of the window in Kikyo's hands, and didn't even stop to think about what it was. He just saw a black barrel and an evil laugh coming from Kikyo. He looked and saw Kagome just standing there in the middle of the driveway, Sango had had the sense to run for cover, but Kagome stood there in fear. Inuyasha ran up behind her, pulling her down to the ground and covering her body with his.

Paintball shots ran through the air, hitting the house and the car, but missing everyone else. Naraku and Kikyo speed away quickly their laughs ringing through the air. Inuyasha suddenly realized how close he really was to Kagome. His face was mere centimers from hers. She shook slightly from fright and her lips her puff out from breathing heavily.

oh my god he's on top of me Kagome thought. he smells so good, what to do? what to do? what to do? She looked up into his stunning amber eyes, she didn't really notice them before and they were striking. Her breath caught in her throat and her heart raced. She almost pushed him off of her due to pure fright, but stopped when he started to lean his head closer to her, oh god.. is he? he can't! she thought.

Inuyasha didn't know what he was doing, he was just doing what felt right. It felt so right, she was right there, she was beautiful.. if only...

"GAAAHH!!!" Inuyasha screamed as he felt someone grab the back of his shirt and throw him across the yard.

"What do you think you're doing Mutt boy? You could crush her!" Kouga yelled. He glared at Inuyasha and Inuyasha looked perplexed. huh? what the fuck just happened ? he thought.

"What the fuck you talking about Kouga, I just didn't want her to get hurt! Get a grip ya mangy wolf, what did you think I was going to do? Kiss right there?!" Inuyasha yelled back. He pulled himself up and glared at Kouga.

Kouga just glared right back, "Who the fuck was that and why the hell do I have paintball splatters all over my fucking house?"

Inuyasha just stopped and looked dumbfounded… "uhh..."

A/N: hehe did you like it? I hope so! I know that everyone is kinda out of character, I'm loosely basing this story off of real life occurrences.. key word LOOSELY!! Not too much happened in this chapter cause I wanted to put some back story into it, my next few chaps should have more adventure.. I hope.
Thanks for the reviews! I feel special. I'm not quite sure where I want to go with this story yet, but I got a vague idea. I also believe that everyone has to have someone.. even Naraku.. and since Inuyasha and Kagome HAVE to be together. Kikyo goes with Naraku. Sorry to any Kikyo fans.. I don't like her.. jus wish she just hurry up and die already. I'm not sure if I have ever met any Kikyo fans, but there are probably a few out there.

This chapter took up 5 pages in Microsoft works, I know my last chapter was short, but I was writing my mid-term paper, I don't like short chapters I like long chapters Anyhoos. I'm babbling. I should be able to update a bit more since I just finished my mid-term paper, and that just sucked... So I have free time this week! YAY!!! thanks again for the reviews and keep reviewing!
