The Inuyasha group had stopped in a village for food.

 

“Yes, there was a miko here a few hours ago. She had a weird look, she was too pale…It was a little scary…” the man said.

“A miko?” Inuyasha asked.

“Kikyo,” Kagome said sadly.

 

Inuyasha stared at her, and she forced herself to smile at him, “go ahead.”

“What about you?”

“We're just going to grab something to eat. Go see her,” Kagome continued.

 

Inuyasha gave her one last look, then rushed out. Kagome watched him join the dead woman he loved and only lasted a few minutes before excusing herself with a broken voice to go cry by herself.

 

`I'm such an baka!' she thought as she sat next to the river. She buried her face in between her knees as she hugged them and sobbed.

 

“Why are you crying?” a man asked her. She looked up at him; he looked a lot like the human form of Inuyasha.

“Urgh…no reason…” she answered.

“I'm Yuu, what's your name?” he asked, sitting down next to her.

“Kagome…”

“Nice to meet you Kagome,” he smiled

Inuyasha ran through the woods and finally spotted Kikyo. She was sitting, her back against a tree, and was panting, trying to catch her breath.

 

“Kikyo,” Inuyasha said, sitting down next to her.

“Inuyasha, now is my time to go,” she panted.

“Go?”

“Hell. Now.”

“Oh…”

“Do you wish to come with me?”

“I - I don't know…”

“Why do you hesitate?” she asked, “It's because of my copy, isn't it?”

“Kagome,” he corrected, “yes…”

“Now, you will have to choose. Me or her.”

 

Inuyasha thought about this for a second. Kagome was always there for him, and he wanted to be with her; but Kikyo gave her life for him, he needed to pay her back with his own

 

“Okay,” he said.

“You'll come?”

“Y - Yes…”

 

Without saying another word, Kikyo got up and the ground opened, red lights coming out of the earth. This time, Kikyo had raised a barrier so that Kagome couldn't see them. She pulled Inuyasha in a tight hug and they closed their eyes. But something wasn't right, there was something wrong: Inuyasha.

 

He didn't really want to go to hell with Kikyo. She pushed him away, tears pouring from her eyes. It was one of the only times Inuyasha saw her showing emotion like this. He gasped as he saw her body be swallowed into the ground.

 

“Kikyooooooooo!!” he yelled as he saw her disappear.

 

The last time he heard her voice, he understood something, “At least make her happy. Don't break my soul twice…”

 

Kagome.
