(A/N: Another lemon one shot. Hope you like it.)     ~Start~ The New Moon     “The new moon, what a curse,” Inuyasha mumbled to himself. It was evident that he cursed the new moon, with every fiber of his being. There are two reasons for the hate of this part of the solar cycle, being weak, and having the feelings of a human male. Those feelings he could control any other time. But now he couldn’t, they threaten to spill out, and that was dangerous. He sat in a corner of Kaede’s cozy hut, thinking. He stopped his thoughts; they were giving him a headache, to look around the hut. Shippo was curled up in Kagome’s sleeping bag, Sango was polishing her weapon, Miroku was trying to cop-a-feel off of Sango’s behind, Kaede making dinner, and Kagome, the woman he cared for, her head in a book. A peaceful night and Inuyasha couldn’t stand it.         ‘How could anyone be this quiet on a night like this?’ Inuyasha thought to himself.  He gotten up and quietly walked outside. He climbed a-top Kaede’s, a hut any other time he could hop upon, and looked at the stars. He could remember a time he and Kagome looked at the stars together. He could remember many things, like his mother. Thinking about her still made him depressed, so he didn’t, expect for this time. So there, out in the open, he thought some more, by himself. To him this was the greatest part of living.         Inside the hut Kagome gave up on her studies, there were fun things to do, go swimming, go to the hot-springs, or just talk to the life-long friends she had made while in the feudal era. That or go see where Inuyasha was. “Kagome, can you go find Inuyasha, and tell him dinner’s ready?” Kaede asked Kagome. “Sure,” Kagome answered. She walked outside.                & nbsp;      Kagome cupped her hands around her mouth, and yelled, “Inuyasha, dinner’s ready.” “I’m not hungry,” she heard a voice say. ‘Funny how his voice changes when he turns human,’ Kagome thought. She turned around and saw Inuyasha. “Funny, I thought you always liked to eat?” Kagome joked. Inuyasha smiled in return. “I guess not today,” he said looking back up at the stars. “What are you doing up there?” Kagome asked.      “Well it would take all night to climb the Gosimboku.” (I hope that is the right spelling.)      “Thinking, huh?”      “Yeah.”      “You want me to save you some food?”      “That would be nice.”      “Okay, see you inside.”                      With that, Kagome left Inuyasha to his thoughts. ‘Two years, wow, I have done more in two years then I would ever do,’ Inuyasha thought. ‘I have made friends, gained trust; I have learned what love really is. All thanks to that troublesome girl from the future. I don’t know what I’d do with out her.’ And his thoughts strayed to everything, from the cosmos to Kikyo, to Kagome. ‘Kagome, what would I give just to smell her scent tonight,’ Inuyasha thought. “Inuyasha, want some company?” Kagome asked. “Yeah sure,” Inuyasha answered moving to jump down from the roof. “No, don’t come down just pull me up,” Kagome said raising up her hand so Inuyasha can pull her up. Kagome sat on the right of him. “So, Inuyasha, thoughts in order?” Kagome asked him. “At least for tonight,” Inuyasha answered looking at Kagome.      “Inuyasha, it is almost midnight, you’ve been sitting up there for 3 hours, you know.”      “Really, it has felt like 3 minutes.”      “You know Inuyasha; you’re one of my best friends.”      “Even with all the fights?”      “Even with all the fights, s-word and all.”           &nb sp;     Kagome bumped shoulders with Inuyasha. “Hey, first sits now violence, what next?” Inuyasha asked joking lying back on the roof hands behind his head. “You think that’s violence, you’ve seen nothing yet,” Kagome said.      “Oh, and what is the mighty Kagome going to do to me?”      “This.”         Kagome turned and punch his arm. “Oh, that really hurt,” Inuyasha said sarcastically, he sat up and held his right arm. “I know,” Kagome said. “So what were you thinking about?” Kagome asked being serious. “You know, things you think about,” He answered.      “I’m sure that is not true.”      “Really, and what is it you think about?”       “Girl stuff.”      “Like?”      “Like, ‘Do I have enough pads to last me the week?’”      “Pads? Oh, your things that catch the blood from when, oh.”      “Yeah. So do you think about things about things like that?”      “No, it’s more, ‘Do I have enough time to collect shards before Kagome runs out of      ‘pads’?”       “You really are crazy.”      “Define ‘crazy.’”      “Silly.”      “No, I’m not.”      “Inuyasha, remember at Kaguya’s castle when I kissed you?”      “Yeah, as I recall it I kissed you back.”      “Yeah, well, why did you kiss me back?”      “I don’t know. Well maybe because, I knew it was you.”      “Knew it was me?”      “Yeah I knew it was you who kissed me, to save me.”      “How did you know?”      “Well, I smelled your scent and I remembered what you said to me, back by the sakura      tree, about how you like me as a hanyou. And I just knew it was you.”      “That still does not answer why you kissed me.”      “I don’t know why I kissed you back, I just did.”      “On instinct?”      “No, not on instinct. It was something else, something that I have yet to find out.”               “Could it have been a primal want within you?”      “No, I was back to normal when I kissed you back.”      “You were? I didn’t know you were.”      “How could you not know? Didn’t I feel different at all? Can’t you tell?”      “I knew a second into the kiss it was you who was kissing me. Stop playing Inuyasha.”      “Who said I was playing?”       Inuyasha rose over Kagome and stroked her face, she leaned into his touch. “I need to kiss you right now,” Inuyasha said as he leaned into to kiss Kagome. Inuyasha put Kagome's clothing in his inner shirt and tied it all in a bundle.         “Come on, we are going to the hot-springs to cleaned up,” Inuyasha said jumping from the roof. Kagome jumped down into his arms and he spun her around to the ground. Kagome kissed him, and pinched his check. “Ow,” Inuyasha said. “Inuyasha I’ll race you too the hot springs,” Kagome yelled behind her shoulder. “Better not let me catch you,” Inuyasha yelled back.
