New Friends, and New Feelings

Sesshomaru entered his large room, cursing quietly to himself. 'Why the hell did he tell her that?' He didn't know if he loved her, but he did know he wanted her to stay. Even if it meant telling her he did love her. He fell onto his bed, still unhappy. He wasn't the type to give into some nagging bitch. Maybe he did love her, after all.
He folded his arms, unsatisfied. No. Obviously not. It took a hell lot more than that to get him to fall in love! He decided to take a quick nap. Again, he felt something bothering him. He immediately realized that it was what happened to Kagome, earlier, with Inuyasha. He still was pissed off at the thought of his stupid brother all over his maid. He finally managed to go to sleep.
Kagome happily continued to clean up. He loves me, he loves me, he loves me! That was all she could think of. Suddenly the doorbell rang. 'Okay, now what!' She wondered, annoyed. She walked to the door, and answered.
"Hey there, Cutie!" Said a young looking guy. He was sort of cute, enough to make Kagome blush. "Is Sesshomaru around? I think he forgot about our meeting today." Kagome stared at him, blankly for a minute.
"I'm here, Miroku." Sesshomaru said, startling Kagome. He had been standing behind her. "Sorry, I've been distracted." He then walked by Kagome, and she saw he was dressed in his gym clothes. "I'll be working out, Kagome." He said, before leaving with Miroku.
She let out angry puff of air, and fell onto the couch. "Miroku…?" He must've been the personal trainer. The doorbell rang again, making her jump out of her skin. She got up, and opened the door to an annoyed girl, about her age. "Eh, hi?" She said to the girl, who was tapping her foot impatiently, with her arms folded across her chest.
The girl stared at Kagome. "Oh, so now he has a maid?" She asked. The question seemed to be directed towards herself. "Sesshomaru." She said, angrily, "I need to see Sesshomaru." Kagome felt a wave of anger come over her. 'Who was this girl asking for Sesshomaru?'
"No, he left." Kagome said, quite angrily, "And who are you?" The girl just gave Kagome a shocked look. "I'm Sango. The next door neighbor!" She hissed, "Tell Sesshomaru that his mail was sent to our house. Again!" Kagome sighed, relieved.
"Oh!" She said, snatching the envelopes from her hand. "Thank you! I'm sorry for the attitude I gave you earlier." Sango smiled, brightly. "Don't be, I gave you attitude first." She laughed. She then looked up at Kagome, curiously, "So, Kagome, aren't you a little young to be a maid?" Kagome gasped. "H-How did you know my name is Kagome?" She asked.
Sango shrugged, "We both go to school together." She said, "You hang out with the 'popular group'." Kagome sighed, "Yes, unfortunately."
"You mean you don't like it?" Sango asked.
Kagome let out another sigh, "Sometimes it's just…" Her voice trailed off.
"No, continue!" Sango urged, eagerly.
"Well, I can't really talk to them about things." Kagome said, "Sure they know everything about hair and makeup, but when it comes to other things… real things…"
Sango nodded. "I know what you mean. Right now, my diary is my best friend!"
Kagome smiled at her. "W-Would you like to come in?" She asked.

"Looks like you and the maid have gotten a little more comfortable." Miroku smiled, watching Sesshomaru lift weights. Sesshomaru glared at him for a minute. "True." He said. "She doesn't seem as innocent anymore." Miroku laughed, "I'm guessing that's your doing?" Miroku laughed as well. "True." He repeated.
After a long hesitation, Miroku said, "…So…she any good?" Sesshomaru gave him a quick nod. "What do you think?" He asked. "She must be good." Miroku said, "You made her your mate." Sesshomaru didn't say anything. "Why? Did you fall in love or something?" Miroku asked, quietly.
Sesshomaru put the weight down. "No." He snapped, "I just don't want anybody touching what I've made mine." Miroku nodded. "…Especially not you." He growled at him. "W-What are you saying!" He said, defensively, "I…I-I, Sesshomaru, I wouldn't-" "Please, spare me." Sesshomaru said, rolling his eyes, "You're the biggest pervert I've ever met."
When the session was over, they both made their way up the stairs. (Miroku had to collect his pay.) Sesshomaru opened the door to see Kagome, and his neighbor laughing, and talking. They both looked up at him, startled. "H-Hey, Sesshomaru!" Kagome said, collecting herself, "I-I've made you hot chocolate." She rose from the sofa, and held a steaming mug out to him.
He just stared at it, and walked by her. "Sango, did you get my mail, again?" he asked, emotionlessly. "I-" Sango began, but Kagome interrupted. "Yes, she did. I have it on the coffee table." Miroku just stood where he was, gazing at Sango. She noticed this and was squirming uncomfortably on the couch.
Kagome, however, seemed distracted, as she watched Sesshomaru calmly go up the stairs. What was his problem? She stood there with the mug in her hand, just thinking. 'Is he mad at me for inviting Sango in?' She wondered. "Sango." She said, turning to the young girl, who was now on the far end of the couch. She looked as if she would fall off any second, "…I'll be right back!" With that Kagome rushed up the stairs.
Kagome saw that Sesshomaru's door was shut, and locked…."Sesshomaru?" She called, knocking on the door, "Please? Open the door?" Sesshomaru opened it, and gazed at her with angry eyes. "What's the matter?" She asked him.
"Kagome, I'm not in the mood." He said. He handed her and envelope. "Give this to Miroku, and don't come back." He ordered. With that he slammed his door shut.
She let out a sigh, but did as she was told. Miroku thanked her and left, shooting Sango one last glance. Once he shut the door, Sango let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god!' She sighed, "Who the hell was that?" "Who?" Kagome asked.
"The-That man?"
"Oh, that was Miroku, Sesshomaru's personal trainer."
"Well, he's a big creep!" Sango snapped.
"Why is that?" Kagome sat down by her curiously.
Sango moved her head to Kagome, as if she were about to share a big secret.
"H-He asked me to bare his children!" She whispered.
Kagome gasped. "He is a creep!"
Kagome stood up. "I'll tell Sesshomaru, and he'll do something!" She said, angrily. "No, please wait!" Sango said, stopping her. "It's okay, don't worry about it." She said, staring at her feet. Her face was completely red. Sango then got up. "I-I should leave." She said, handing Kagome a piece of paper.
"Call me whenever you can!" She said.
"Okay. Thank you, Sango!" Kagome said, "It was great talking to you."
"No problem, your secret's safe with me!" Sango said, walking out the door.
Kagome collapsed on the couch. Something was bothering Sesshomaru. She wanted to know what. 8:00 came, but Sesshomaru remained in his room. Kagome thought she would cry. She ran upstairs.
"Sesshomaru?" She called, knocking lightly, "I-I have to leave soon. I just called my mother to tell her I'd be late." He opened the door. "Why did you do that?" He asked her. "Because we need to talk." She said, softly, "…about what's bothering you."
He turned leaving his door open. With a motion of his hand, he signaled for her to come in. She did, and stood there in the doorway. He looked at her worried expression. It reminded him of that day she came to complain of the list he made.
"Okay, what's the matter?" She asked. "Are you upset that I allowed Sango in?" He looked away. "No, of course not." He said. "I'm fine." She stood there. "What is it?" He met her glassy eyes. "N-Nothing." He said, again. She stepped closer to him.
"Whatever it is, can I make it better?" She asked him, sweetly. "How do you plan to do that?" He snickered. She didn't answer. She just reached up, and kissed his cheek. Hugging him tightly she said, "I hate to see you upset, Sesshomaru." He stood there, unsure what to do.
She didn't say anything else, but started kissing his lips. Not open mouthed, but light, soft pecks, all over. His lips, his face, his neck. She showered him with love, making him feel a little lighter. Maybe she wasn't lying when she admitted to loving him. He finally hugged her back.
Without saying anything, they made love to each other. It wasn't like the first time. It was soft and gentle. Not rough, and wild. They didn't do it out of desire, and lust, but out of love, and affection. It was better than the first time, and it sure as hell made Sesshomaru feel better.
