Inuyasha sighed, "Kagome, you know what they would do to you if you killed my brother?" He said looking up into her stormy eyes.

"I don't care what they do to me, I can't live with him any longer!" She screamed not being able to keep her voice down, luckily in her spiritual form her voice couldn't carry very far. Before he could do anything to stop her she ran back to her room, leaving him with torn thoughts.

`I can't go after her, if I do and we're caught we'll never be able to see each other again, but if I don't she'll do somethingthat may cause her her life. Damn it!' He cursed himself as he ran through a hall that led to his brother and his lovers room. He only hoped he got there in time.

She knew what she had to do, to her there was no other way. When she reached the room she stepped through the door silently and gazed down upon the picture in her bed. Kouga's arms were still wrapped around her physical body, and there was a smile on his face. She cringed at what she had to do, but she was now determined, she had to be with Inuyasha, she'd do anything to be his, mind and body. She walked over to her husbands side of the bed to where his night table stood. She opened the drawer silently and stared down at the object inside of it. Kouga always kept a gun next to him while he slept, to protect himself and her from intruders. He never dreamed it was what would eventually kill him and free her of his possesive grasp on her. She smiled at the thought as she reached down and grabbed hold of the weapon. As her fingers grazed it she felt a shudder run through her body. `I have to do this, for Inuyasha, for myself.' Grabbing a hold of the gun she aimed it at her husband, and as the gun fire echoed through the once silent night Inuyasha burst through the door with shock written all over his face `She did it, there isn't anything I can do now,' he sighed as tears started to fill his eyes for his beloved. She shook with fear as she walked back to her own body, touching it she concentrated on being one with her body again. She heard Inuyasha mutter "I'm sorry," as she felt her mind connect with her body she felt the gun being grabbed from her hands. She opened her eyes from where she lay, next to her dead husband and gasped. Inuyasha was standing in front of her pointing the gun at her. They both heard the guards coming, but neither were paying attention, Inuyasha was walking towards Kagome with a pained look on his face. "I can't let them take you away, I'd never be able to live with myself," he said as he reached her side. She threw her arms around him as soon as he was within her reach and sobbed as she felt metal hitting the back of her head at the same time the gaurds bounded into the room. The last thing she heard before she fell unconcious were words that would forever burn into her heart "Inuyasha you are arrested and sentenced to death for the murder of your brother Lord Kouga."
