At the Higurashi house, Kasumi turns her back towards the door getting into a deep sleep. Just then the door opens and Kasumi's Grandma smiles clasping her hands loudly.

"Kayko get up honey!! It's going on 8:00 you don't sleep this late!" She shouts. Kasumi moans.

"8 late? No 8 early." Kasumi mumbles.

"Everyone is waiting for you for breakfast. So get up and get dress and come downstairs." She closes the door. Kasumi sits up stretching and yawning loudly.

"This is fucking ridiculous. What are these people?" Kasumi growls as she gets out the bed.

She walks downstairs a hour later wearing a pink skirt knee length, a white sleeveless shirt that shows a little cleavage and white sneakers with the back out. She plops down at the table next to Miroku.

"Ooh it looks like someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today." Miroku smiles. Kasumi rolls her eyes and sighs.

"I'm so tired. It's so early."

"Are you sick honey?" Kagome questions looking worried.

"No. I'm fine." Kasumi shrugs.

"You usually never sleep late."

"I know but now that I'm getting older my body requires at a least 23 hours of sleep." Kasumi smiles everyone at the table laughs.
"What do you do for that 24th hour?"

"Eat and take a nap." She smiles they all start laughing.

"Anyway Kay would you like to go to shop with me?" Kagome smiles. Kasumi's face lights up.

"I would love to."

"Really? Hmm that was fairly easy I thought I would have to blackmail you into going." Kagome smiles pleasantly. Kasumi smiles happily.

After breakfast they head off the Kagome's wedding dress shop. Kasumi sits on the counter watching Kagome sew the hems of a white beautiful dress. Kagome stands up stepping back viewing the dress she then turns to Kasumi.

"What do you think? It's missing something to bring it to life." Kagome rubs her chin trying to figure out what else to do. Kasumi looks around the small shop and sees a bag of glitter next to her, she smiles and grabs it holding it up.

"Here. Use the glitter." Kasumi tells her. Kagome smiles taking the bag from her.

"Now I know why you're my daughter. You have a great sense of style." Kagome laughs. Kasumi giggles smiling widely.

"Why thank you mother." Kagome begins putting the glitter on the dress.

"Mom you have so much money. Why don't we get a bigger house?" Kasumi questions crossing her legs. Kagome sighs shaking her head.

"Kayko we been through this and I don't want to talk about it." Kagome tells her not looking at her. "I just like the middle class a lot better then the upper class." Kagome shrugs. Kasumi crosses her arms.

"Oh come on Mom how much longer do you expect to stay in the middle class. Everyone loves your dresses."

"I don't like the upper class." Kagome clears her throat still applying a little glitter in different places of the dress.

"Can you explain? You only tell me you just don't like them." Kasumi persists on. Kagome hesitates for a bit then clears her throat shaking her head no.

"Not now."

"Can you at least tell me about Dad?"

"Oh Kayko I've told you about your father before."

"Barely." Kasumi snaps going along with the information Kayko gave her.

"I don't want to talk about that either."

"Mom I'm going on 16 later this month. If I can't see him the least you can do is give me a summary of him. I mean did he do something so horrible that you can't even talk about him to his own daughter?" Kasumi crosses her arms feeling hurt her mother won't even talk about her. From what she seen for 15 years he seems respectable, yeah sometimes rude and foul mouthed but that's how most Americans are.

"It's not that honey. It's just that it breaks my heart to speak of your father." Kagome tells her sitting the glitter bag down besides Kasumi. Kasumi stares at Kagome.

"Please Mom." Kasumi begs quietly. Kagome forces a smile on her face and clears her throat.

"Fine." She sighs and reaches for a wetted towel to get the glitter of her hands. She starts wiping her hands and continues. "Well to start off your father was part of a rich estate. He's father was a big business owner. I met him through his childhood friend Sango when I went to college. So we hit it off perfectly and everything was going fine so after college we decided to get married." Kagome clears her throat again staring at the glitter bag. "A year later I become pregnant with you and-" Kagome cuts herself off so she doesn't say "your sister." Kasumi looks at her with her hope, hoping she says and "your sister." Kagome regains her composure and clears her throat again. "And things didn't work out because his mother put us into categories defining me as a square and him as a circle saying we can never be together. So your father and I had a big argument on the night you were born and we had a divorce after that." Kagome sighs looking down at the towel. Kasumi stares at Kagome closely.

"Mommy what's his name? You never said his name."

"Inuyasha." Kagome looks up out window with a small sparkle in her eyes. Kasumi smiles lightly.

"You still love him don't you?"

"What? Why you think that?" Kagome giggles. Kasumi tilts her head to the side and smiles.

"I can tell by the way you said his name." Kasumi laughs a little. Kagome laughs with her and kisses Kasumi's forehead.

"Yes, I still love your father very much." Kagome sighs putting the towel down and sits next to Kasumi on the counter. "But as they say there's no use in crying over split milk." Kagome swings her legs lightly. Kasumi laughs out.

"And there's no use in acting like that river in Egypt."

"What river?" Kagome looks at her raising her eyebrow. Kasumi laughs louder and harder.

"Denial."

"Oh you!" Kagome laughs putting her arm around Kasumi. Kasumi lays her head on Kagome's shoulder taking in her mother's warmth. They have a peaceful quiet moment but it was quickly shattered at the sound of a skin slapping sound. There's a moan from the back, Kagome and Kasumi lean forward trying to see what happened but not moving from their spot. One of Kagome's employees Ayumi stomps into the front looking pissed.

"You know Miroku you should learn manners you pervert!!" Ayumi yells out. Miroku walks out the back rubbing his red hand printed cheek.

"So does that mean I can call you tonight?" He smiles. Ayumi growls walking out the shop. Kagome sighs shaking her head.

"Miroku when you learn you lecher?" Kagome giggles a little. Miroku shrugs walking into the backroom. Kasumi laughs.

'He's exactly the way Sango described him. I thought she was exaggerating a little.' Kasumi shakes her head.

About 2 am in the morning at the Shikon Mansion. Kayko sits in the bathroom and calls her house. Miroku answers the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi is Ka-Kayko there?" Kayko clears her throat. Miroku looks confused.

"Kayko is that you?" Miroku questions into the phone. Kasumi appears behind him.

"Is that for me Miroku?" Kasumi questions. Miroku looks at her.

"Wow, your friend sounds just like you." He tells her handing her the phone. Kasumi takes the phone putting it to her ear.

"Hey Sarah. How are you darling? Yes, yes I'm fine." Kasumi lets out a phony laugh. Miroku looks a little freaked out and walks away. Kasumi looks around and goes in the closet. She sits on the floor. "Yeah what's up Kay?"

"Kasumi we have real trouble." Kayko whispers. Kasumi raises her eyebrow.

"What do you mean? What?"

"I think Dad is in love."

"No shit Sherlock, he's in love with Mom." Kasumi rolls her eyes. Kayko sighs and shakes her head.

"No, he's in love with another woman."

"Ha, funny Kayko. Dad doesn't fall in love." Kasumi shrugs her shoulders.

"But he is. And if we want to get Mom and Dad back together we have to do it fast." Kayko tells her. Kasumi rolls her eyes looking mad.

'She thinks she's going to ruin my stay with Mom. I'm having too much fun now.' Kasumi thinks looking into coat pockets. She find a peppermint slipping into her mouth and taking the wrapper crumbling it to the mouth end of the phone. "Hello? Hello? Kayko?" Kasumi plays frantic as she crumbles the wrapper. Kayko stands up.

"Kasumi?"

"Kayko I can't hear you." She slams the phone down on the receiver. Kayko sighs and hangs up the phone looking pissed.

"Thanks to you too sis." She rolls her eyes. "I guess it's up to me in the mean time."

Kasumi crawls out the closet only to see Kagome, Miroku and Sota looking at her strangely. Kasumi laughs innocently putting the phone on the desk.

"It's something I learned in camp." She shrugs her shoulders. Kagome shakes her head smiling.

"You worry me honey." Kagome raises her eyebrow.

"So guys what's on today's gender?" Kasumi questions changing the subject.

"Well, there's a carnival around here. Wanna go?" Miroku questions her.

"Absolutely." Kasumi smiles grabbing Miroku's arm. "Come on guys let's go."

Later that day about 10 Kayko sits at the counter sitting in front of a bunch of different foods but not touching it. Sango walks into the kitchen and stares at her closely. Kayko looks at Sango and shrugs.

"What's wrong?"

"Ha! I think that's what I need to be asking you." Sango crosses her arms.

"Why?" Kayko rests in her chin in her hand putting her elbow on the table.

"Well you're acting weird. You don't eat a lot. You barely talk to me or Rin, you're always around your father, you call Sesshoumaru Uncle which is scary AND you make phone calls at 4 in the morning." Sango leans against the kitchen counter. Kayko clears her throat feeling herself sweat.

"With that I just had to think of a nice time to call my friend she lives in New York." Kayko shrugs that was the only American state Kayko new about mostly. Sango nods her head.

"Oh so you figured you call her at a reasonable time right?"

"Y-Yeah." Kayko nods.

"So you call her 7 in the morning?" Sango raises her eyebrow.

"Well it would've been 7 in the morning but she's vacationing in Japan." Kayko smiles at her nice comeback.

(A/N: Anyone know the time differences between Cali and Japan? Well it's just a fictional story and it doesn't have to accurate right? ^.^')

"Good come back." Sango laughs. "Oh yeah your Dad wants you to meet him at the Wine factory he has to talk you-" Sango doesn't finish her sentence because Kayko jumps up and gets ready to run. "What about your food Sumi?"

"Um I'm full." Kayko runs out the door.

"But you didn't even touch it." Sango sighs. "Something is up and I have to find out."

Inuyasha stands by the door waiting for Kikyo to arrive. She comes up in her blue Mustang wearing a tight lavender tube dress and white sandals. She walks up to Inuyasha wrapping her arms around him and kisses his lip.

"How are you today honey?" She smiles. Inuyasha blushes a little smiling.

"I'm good and you?"

"I'm fine. Did you tell her?" Kikyo quickly asks him. Inuyasha looks away.

"Not yet. I'm planning on telling her today."

"Ok. Well I have some paper works to fill out but um I called the travel agent and she said it's a definite that we can go to Barbados."

"Ok great." He kisses her cheek. "See you later."

"Ok honey bye." She gets her car and drives off. Inuyasha turns to go back in the factory.

"Dad!" Kayko yells out and runs to him panting. He looks at his clock then look at her.

"You're up early. I was expecting you to be here about 1 or 2 in the afternoon."

"Yeah, will you know a I'm lazy so I need to get up and do more work." Kayko smiles. He laughs and nods his head.

"I have to talk to you." Kayko and Inuyasha say at the same time. They both laugh together. "About?" They say again laughing.

"Mom."

"Kikyo." They both stare at each other. Kayko leans forward.

"What about Kikyo?"

"Well what about your mother?"

"Dad can you please tell me something about her?" Kayko pouts. Inuyasha sighs and walks into the factory. Kayko follows him. "Please Dad?"

"All I'm going to say is your mother was a beautiful person, very cherry and loving. She had the biggest heart that is rarely found in people." He sighs looking hurt if only he wasn't so stupid he would've still been with her and had his two daughters together living as a big family.

"Do you still love her?" Kayko questions still trying to find hope that her and Kasumi's plan would work.

"Of course I still love your mother. I love her very much and that will never change but I can't sit around and not live my life. Now about Kikyo that I wanted to tell you is." He pauses for a second and continues. "Kikyo and I are-"

"I have to go." Kayko runs away not wanting to hear what he was going to say.

I'm leaving a cliff hanger here.....he.....he.....he.....he *.*'
