And she ran. Faster and faster, gasping for air as she ran towards the floating image. She just couldn't get away from it. How could she? The road seemed to move, as if to deter her progress. But the one thing she knew, it was that the picture was somehow important to her. It seemed a simple square, but it was composed of arrows, pointing up, down, left and right. Maybe it was a map?

She knew it was no time for thinking now. She just needed to get that map. "Map?" She thought. "Is that what it is? A map?" The questioned only made her more determined to get to it. And with this she ran faster, and slowly, oh so very slowly, she was getting closer to her goal. As she neared her prize, she reached out to snatch it...only to trip and fall at the last moment.
"WAIT!" Kagome yelled, as she sprang up in her bed. "What WAS that?" She mumbled to herself. Her head was still in a daze. This was the fifth time in the past two weeks that she had this dream. It was haunting her, taunting her with something she could not have nor understand. "What does that...err...map mean? Why can't I get it out of my head?" She wiped the sweat off her face and proceeded to the bathroom. Kagome took a quick shower, brushed her teeth, and packed her bag. It was going to be another long trip on the other side. She knew what she would be barraged with. Questions of why she was gone so long, did she bring anymore ramen, and where they would be travelling in search for whatever they happened to be after at the time.
*sigh* "At least I hope I'm just ASKED why I was gone so long...not yelled at by that idiot InuYasha," Kagome said to herself. She ran downstairs, grabbed a piece of toast and yelled her goodbyes as she jumped down the well. In the back of her mind, wondering what the whole dream was about.
