As she emerged from the well, Kagome's hand grasped something soft in her hand as she pulled herself over the edge of the well, only to be greeted by a yell and InuYasha jumping up.
"What the hell did ya do that for?" He yelled, clearly pissed off.
"Well, maybe you shouldn't be stalking the well, waiting for me!" Kagome retorted. She just threw her bag over her shoulder and began walking toward the village. *Hmph! Serves him right. He knows I'm always gonna come back eventually. Maybe now he won't wait so close*
"Where'r you going?! You could at least apologize for what ya did to my hair!" InuYasha yelled as he ran to catch up. *What's she so mad about? I was just sitting there.*
"I'm going to the village, where else? I've got some stuff to drop off," Kagome stated in that matter-of-fact tone. She stopped for a moment and pulled out a cup of ramen from her bag and waved it in InuYasha's face. "You see this?" He shook his head. It was his favorite food. RAMEN! "Well you can't have it! That's what you get for stalking me all the time." She smiled to herself. She loved having a power over him other than 'sit.'
"Hey that's not fai-" he began. He began to draw his sword. Kagome turned to him,
"What is it?" She whispered. She had forgotted all about their argument.
"I smell blood. And it's heading in our direction. Get to the village and wait for me there. I'll be back soon." And before Kagome could even respond, he dashed away. And with her bike at the village, she had no way of following. So for this instance, she just did as told.
*Damnit! What could be going on now!? Kagome just arrives, and now there's something bloody heading for us.* InuYasha dashed towards the bloody scent, hand on Tetusaiga, ready to be drawn if necessary. He stopped in a clearing, getting his bearings as he rescanned the air for the blood trail. It was coming from the left...and it was nearby...heading in his direction. *I'll just ambush it* He thought. But before he had a chance to hide, the bushes started shaking in front of him.
Out the bushes someone stumbled out, covered in fresh wounds, the source of the blood. It saw InuYasha and tried to speak. All that came out was a choak and a cough of blood. Before it fell to the ground unconscious.
"Oh great! And I guess it's MY job to carry the sorry excuse of person back to the village." InuYasha scoffed as he picked up the body. He...it was still alive. For all of his 'tough-guy' act, he knew he had to hurry or this person was going to die. *I just hope Kagome and Kaede can heal this person. I want some goddamn answers!*
With body in hand he ran as fast as he could back to the village.
