AN: I do not own any of the characters from Inuyasha. I do not make any money doing this.

Hey, quick interlude.

I really don't like writing lemons, for the reason of did I make it too intense or are there too little details. I'm kind of teetering on the edge of trying to decide if I should take down that chapter all together and do a re-write or just move the story over to a completely different site. Please voice your opinions! I'm like awkwardly laughing at myself going, "oh man what was I doing?"

What I'm trying to say is I'm feeling weird/insecure about the last chapter. The two reviews I got on it made me laugh to myself but didn't shake the burning question of did I go too far?

Anyway, here's chapter eleven…

Kagome's past has pushed her to succeed in her later adult life. Living in a world that still showed discrimination, she still refuses to let that incident shape how she sees people. Wanting to help those around her, she ends up hiring a certain hanyou as her assistant.

Chapter Eleven - Reassurances

"So, do we move in together now?"

"Y-yeah, it's just like being married, right?" Her voice was still a little shaky. She didn't regret what had happened during their weekend getaway, but she didn't even tell her mom and that could prove to be a problem.

"Mhm," his eyes were on the road but all of his other senses were focused on her. "We can go house shopping next weekend with Shippo."

"Shouldn't we tell him about us first?" Her hands fidgeted in her lap.

Inuyasha snorted lightly, "he'll be able to smell exactly what happened between us. Anyone with a demonic sense of smell will know to keep their hands off or face a very territorial inuyoukai."

"Is it just you who is protective or all demons?" A deep red blush set in. Would everyone really know what we did? Can't some things stay private?

"Hm, I'd say pretty much any demon will be protective of their mate. We don't take the subject lightly, Kagome. There's no such thing as divorce for us," he explained trying to keep his tone calm for her sake. "What's wrong? You keep fidgeting over there."

"It's, uh, all new to me and to know that demons can smell all of our activities is a little unnerving. I'd like to keep some details between just you and I," she admitted.

"A play-by-play recap isn't broadcasted out," he chuckled. "They just know you have someone. Our scent has intertwined in a way that can only be achieved by deep intimacy."

Kagome let out a breath and giggled too. "So people know you belong to me too?"

"Keh, it's not like anyone would be coming after me anyway," he joked. "You're one of the few who see me as a person, not a half-demon."

"That doesn't answer my question," she pouted playfully.

Letting out a meaningless groan, he couldn't help but smile. "Yes, Koibito. Everyone will know that I am not available."

"Good, but how should we tell my mom?"
