150 years later

 

Village Komodo

 

 

 

“What are you doing Sango?” Kagome asked. “Just close your eyes and wait and see.” Sango said soothingly.

 

Soon both girls reached their destination and Sango reached forward to take off the blindfold.

 

“Surprise!!!” A whole bunch of people screamed. “Wow, Oh my gosh!” Kagome shrieked “Did you guys plan this whole thing?”

 

“Of course did you think that we were going to let our best friend spend her sixteenth birthday alone and without a party?” Sango replied evenly.

 

“But this must have cost a fortune.” Kagome protested as she checked out her surroundings. Her plain, lonely hut where she and Sango bunked with four other roommates was decorated perfectly. Red and green streamers hanged over each of the old fashioned bunks (this is not Christmas), as well as a HUGE pile of presents on their dinner table, finished off by plenty of friends who had come to celebrate the happy news.

 

“After all we wouldn't want you to spend your sweet sixteen like I did.” Sango stated softly but her eyes glassed over and her hands suddenly clenched into a fist.

 

“I'm sorry to bring bad memories.” Kagome murmured apologetically. Everyone knew about Sango's horrible past, how on her sixteenth birthday her whole family was murdered by demons and her brother was slaughtered in front of her eyes. The only hope is that of a rumor and the hope the small boy that sustains life with a shard of the infamous shikon jewel.

 

After a round of happy birthday's each person received a slice of cake that has been created with the least amount of ingredients possible. The food shortages was present in everyone at the party, their skin was pale and their clothes hanged limply on their skinny forms.

 

But there is a special shine in all the eyes because they heard that another piece of the famous Concord poem (peace poem) has been fulfilled.

 

People heard since the last harvest, which was a year ago the hanyou created from the demon lord Tai inu-youkai and mortal wife has started the journey to find the sorceress who was prophesized to be the mate for him. At first these were declared rumors, to get the hopes up for the peasants. Although later it seemed the rumor was true because villages in the west started to report seeing a white haired hanyou passing through their villages.

 

`Feh.” Inuyasha thought as he passed another village. `I wonder if they know that I'm here'

 

`Hmm, I'm tired so maybe I'll just rest here' Inuyasha thought silently yawning `but only for a little shut eye then off to the next village'

 

The next day

 

“Ahhhhhhh!” Kagome yelled as she tripped over a big rock dropping all the laundry. (Hmmmmmm I wonder)

 

`Darn it I can't believe that I messed up on a task again' Kagome thought recalling the events earlier today.

 

First I drop the breakfast bowl making a mess on the floor and on Rain as well as getting some on Sakura. Second when I went to the closet to get the mop Sango walked in so the door slammed in her face. Third as I was mopping up my mess I wasn't looking and bonked Hitomi on the head before tripping Kaoru. Needless to say all her roommates are pissed at Kagome and made her stay far away to do laundry.

 

“And they say as you grow older you grow wiser I wish they also made you less clumsy” Kagome grumbled

 

“Hey what are you complaining about wench!” The rock said

 

“Wait the rock talked?” Kagome exclaimed and with that Kagome looked around trying to spot the seemingly magical rock.

 

“I'm not a rock wench.” The rock replied.

 

Inuyasha Pov

 

As Inuyasha looked up what he saw blew him away. The girl had long glossy black hair almost to her butt. All her curves were lost in the oversized dress but Inuyasha's demonic senses took over it told him that she had lovely curves and was beautiful. Her arms were long, lithe and creamy white there were pale but healthy. Looking up, her ebony hair framed her face perfectly showing pink supple lips `which are wonderful to kiss, I bet they taste like strawberries' Hey where'd that come from Inuyasha mentally hit himself. Her sweet curved nose slightly crinkled as if she smelled something unpleasant. `That would doubtlessly be me after all I traveled and don't see the need for baths all the time.' Her eyes were a warm inviting mocha slowly drowning inuyasha but he did't seem to find the need to swim out.

 

Kagome Pov

 

I could see the “rock” staring at me as if mesmerized although I'm sure I didn't look much better. The “rock” had a bright red kimono with a black string as an obi. His most distinctive feature was his snow white hair `most likely soft as fur and nice to cuddle on' Hey where did that come from Kagome scowled at herself `you can't get attracted at any stranger' she chided herself. He also had the most intriguing amber eyes it was as if you stared too long you could be lost in deep pools of gold. Once she broke off the spell of his enticing eyes she saw the cutest doggy ears. They were white just like his hair except they were peach inside and they moved in the most adorable way twitching this way and that.

 

Soon she couldn't help herself she squealed and hurried to scratch his ears deciding that a demon with such cute looks cannot be evil. Inuyasha still studying her jumped up when he heard her squeal. Looking around he didn't detect any enemies and decided that it must be a girl thing but soon he felt his ears assaulted. Now normally he hated it when females scratched his ears, because they always do it too hard and hurt him or do it too soft and irritate him. But this girl was scratching away before he got to react. Strangely he didn't mind her hands were soft and delicate but soothing and it was perfect. Slowly he purred comfortably enjoyed at the feeling this girl was sending through him.

 

“I thought you were a dog but I guess I'm mistaken.” Kagome said laughing

 

“Of course I'm a dog wait, I'm an Inu hanyou” Inuyasha stated proudly

 

“You're the chosen hanyou from the prophecy?” Kagome asked shaking

 

“Of course I'm going around to find my mate since my father died” Inuyasha answered plainly with a little vengeance at the end

 

With that Kagome fainted slowly into Inuyasha's waiting hands.
