Chapter 5

 

1 year later

 

Sango and Kagome started to wring out the sheets and clothing while talking.

 

“So Sango I noticed you talking to a certain monk on the way from the market.” Kagome questioned, slightly laughing as her friend started to shrink lower to the ground.

 

“It was nothing Kagome he just asked some questions that's all.” Sango replied trying to hide by covering her face with a piece of wet cloth.

 

“Really then how come I overheard him ask every girl within reach to `bear his children' I think was what he put it as. But he let you pass and started to touch your butt.” Now really laughing at her friend's startled expression.

 

“It was nothing.” Reviving the funny memories of this monk touching her butt then her slapping him breathless.

 

“I don't think so I pretty sure that you guys have something going on.” Kagome started “And may I mention I was right four other times.”

 

Both of them stopped to remember the marriages of their former roommates and it was true that Kagome predicted all of them correctly and within months wedding bells sounded.

 

First was Karou she met her husband Kenshin at a local restaurant called the Akabeko. It was love at first sight although both of them were too shy to admit it. Soon after many blind dates they got to know each other and Kenshin mustered the courage to propose at the spot where they first met, it was very romantic in the girl's opinion. Their wedding was small and quaint with only the closest family and friends. They left and went traveling as Kenshin was a wanderer nowadays both are very happy and drop by when they can during their travels.

 

At a Penguin park Sakura met her husband Sayoran when she slipped down the slide and he saved her claiming that it was disgraceful to leave a damsel in distress. They took a bit longer as Sayoran was jealous of Sakura because she found strong miko powers and is a descendant of a very strong male wizard called Clow. But the ice wore thin as they were forced to work together on a mission type of job no one questioned it, as their line of work was dangerous. After many urgings on both Sakura and Sayoran's friends they became husband and wife. Their wedding was very extravagant and included many people from Sayoran's guest list since his family was very well off and has a high social standing. They moved to a large country across the sea called America. They sent letters sometimes and assured that they are happy and healthy.

 

During one of Hitomi's normal morning runs she met her husband Van fighting a strong dragon demon. She knew he was in trouble so she called upon her miko powers and helped him kill the dragon. Later she was sucked in a flash of light and went to a place called Gaea. There she told the rest of the girls her adventures. It became revealed that Van is actually the prince in a Country called Fanila. Together with some other friends they revolted against a lunatic who was trying to destroy Gaea and come to earth (which they called the Mystic moon). Hitmoi's friends won and saved Van's planet from absolute destruction. At first they totally despised each other flinging insults as much as they can. Of course during the process Van and Hitomi discovered that they had feelings for each other. Bur that had its ups and downs because Van once caught Hitomi and a guy named Allen kissing as well as many other stories which turned out quite funny since jealousy for the other over took better judgment. After they worked out their issues also knowing that they loved each other. They got married and lived in Van's castle. Hitomi came for visits sometimes and can't anymore because apparently they can't keep their hands off each other and is expecting a child pretty soon.

 

The meeting between Rain and her husband Domon was definitely fated for sure. Rain is a strong healing miko so she went on a routine check to the close villages asking if she could lend her help. At the last one she found her childhood friend on the brink of death from fighting another fighter in their special mechanical suits. She drained almost all of her miko powers so that Domon could have a chance to live. She herself was physically and mentally drained during the process and even though she received warnings of the risks, she did it anyway and it took a lot of power from the other girl's to heal her. After both Rain and Domon were healed enough Rain received a request to assist Domon with his machine since she has proper knowledge of how it works as well as miko powers that can heal many injuries. She accepted even though we all knew she had know choice because Domon was fighting for Japan and needed to win the title of worlds best fighter to help Japan rise to power. Rain also mentioned about a separate quest concerning Domon's brother how his brother was a traitor killing many people and destroying his family.

 

After Domon won the title and resolved his problems against his brother Rain came back to the hut to receive further training, but lost her happiness and became strangely solemn which changed her personality because she and Sakura are the nicest and sweetest people in the group. After much prying the girls found the problem of her unhappiness she was head over heels in love with the fighter but thought that she wasn't good enough and couldn't adapt to be Domon's wife, as well as him not loving her. With our sneaky tactics we soon found Domon and found him sulking. We voted for Kagome to pay a visit to him because she was undoubtedly the strongest miko in the group also being a good person to speak her mind. Also knowing the line between a pushover like Sakura or impossible like Karou and Sango helped as well. Rain herself definitely couldn't go because there is no telling what will happen. Rain also warned everyone about his explosive temper before she went and soaked in her misery.

 

Strangely he did not blow up at Kagome but instead begged her to tell him where Rain lived and any advice on how to make it up to her. Kagome assured Domon that arriving to their house will cheer Rain up. So using her miko powers she transported Domon and herself to the humble hut the friends/roommates shared. Kagome made sure everyone was out of the hut the whole day although sometimes the urge to peek was almost overwhelming. But the next day when they gathered at the front door it was flung open with Domon marriage style carrying Rain and she announced out loud that they were getting married and showed the girls her ring. They had the wedding a month later filled with fighters they had made friends with. There is four that is extremely special called the shuffle alliance and they had crests on the top of their hands.

 

Now they lived together while Domon is training for the next fighting championship. And also had a child coming, the girls think it was that day in the house but are divided if Rain would even think of doing such a thing.

 

That left only Kagome and Sango to live in the hut. People said that no man will marry Sango because she is a demon slayer and way to masculine for a lady. They also said that no one would marry Kagome because she had strong miko powers and the powers are stronger than guy and that left them too scared to go near her.

 

But both girls accepted their fate with happiness knowing that even though they will grow old alone they will do it together. With the extra time not caring for a husband or children Sango left to go exterminate demons which became their income to buy things with and Kagome push with more determination in her miko studies willing to try to prove, to be the best miko ever.
