Prologue

 

The world as one would think is not the one that we live in. This world has strange powerful creatures that walk amongst us each and every day. They are known as Youkai. These creatures have been in exists for longer then anyone can remember. In the past these creatures were the dominant race that over saw the workings and everyday lives of the humans. Now in this day and age these creatures are few and rare. The race of once great beings are now mostly hanyou. However these youkai and hanyou are viewed as equals and live amongst the humans in all matters of life.

 

Humans are mostly the majority of the world. But there are a few that stand out as great and powerful. These humans are known as the miko and houshi. These humans have great healing and purifying powers. They were trained from young ages to be helpful, to be protectors, and to make sure that the youkai and hanyou didn't attack the humans.

 

However many years have pasted and the world has finally come to a time of peace and understanding. The youkai, hanyou, humans, miko, and houshi go about their daily business without a second glance. Now that the world has entered an era of technology the races of the world have come together to finally live as one.

 

This is a tale of such beings. Their lives have been planned out for them and they are struggling to understand their own destiny. Fate brought them together but only through their love for each other and their understanding of each other will they survive.

In modern day Tokyo four young women are the topic of almost every conversation you hear. They seemingly came out of nowhere and since then they have been gaining in popularity. They are known as The Sage. They are the only all girl rock band in Japan. Their popularity is so wide spread that even people in American and Europe are talking about them. They started their band almost four years ago and ever since then they are been the number one band in all of Japan. All their songs on have been in the Top Ten on the Billboard Charts.

 

Sorano, also known as The Haven, is the lead singer and lead guitarist. She is a full-blooded light youkai. She has long white-blonde hair, silver eyes, a sun marking on her forehead and a sakura petal marking on her left cheek. She is thought to be the one that started the band but the band say that they all came together one day and have been together since. She wears only silver, white and black clothing and is known as the intelligent loyal member of the band.

 

Kagome Higurashi, also known as The Miko, is the lead bass guitarist and back up singer. She comes from a long line of miko. She has long black semi-wavy hair and deep chocolate brown eyes. She is the most mysterious of the band members. She doesn't like to talk in interviews or talk about her past. She wears only red, white and black clothing and is known as the best friend to everyone in the band.

 

Sango Hiro, also known as The Taijiya, is the drummer of the band. She comes from a long line of youkai exterminators. She has long straight black hair with pink highlights and warm brown eyes. She is very blunt and to the point. She has no problem speaking her mind and is a very powerful female both physically and mentally. She wears only pink, white and black clothing and is known as the protector of the other band members.

 

Rin Takahashi, also known as The Innocence, is the keyboardist and back up singer. She has medium length spike curled black hair and hazel brown eyes. She is very energetic and flamboyant. She is the youngest member of the band and is the most kid like. She wears only baby blues, white and black. She is known as the most light hearted and kindest member of the band.

 

These four women have helped open up the worlds opinion of youkai, miko and humans working together and living together. Though these four try to live a normal life they are always singled out by their peers. And as fate has preordained these four women are about to go on the ride of their lives.

At a senior high school in Tokyo four males await the day that fate has guided them to. They have been trying to become the next great band of the era. They go by the name The Calling. Though these four males are only amateurs in the world of music but they have their own unique sound that the other students of the public senior high have grown to love. They have been friends for all their lives and decided to become the male version of The Sage.

 

Sesshomaru is the keyboardist of The Calling. He is a full-blooded Inu Youkai. He has long silver hair, a blue-purple crescent moon marking on his forehead, two maroon stripes on each of his cheeks, and his eyes are light molten gold. He is the most powerful and silent member of the group. He is also the oldest member of the band and acts as such. He wears mostly white and black clothing and is know as the `ice prince' to all those who know him.

 

Inuyasha Aino is the lead guitarist and lead singer of The Calling. He is an Inu hanyou. He has long silver hair, two fuzzy white dog-ears on his head, and eyes just like his older half brother Sesshomaru however Inuyasha's eyes have a mysterious and furious glint to them. He is the loudest and most stubborn member of the group. He wears mainly red and black clothing and is known as one of the rudest and furious members of the band.

 

Miroku Jiro is the lead bass guitarist and back up singer of The Calling. He is a very powerful Houshi. He has short black hair with a little ponytail at the back of neck; he has very unusually blue violet eyes. His family was cursed by a powerful youkai in the past and now Miroku carriers a Kazaana in his right hand. He is the most perverted and lecherous of the group. He asks any beautiful women he meets to bare his child. He wears only purple, black, and deep blue clothing and is known as the `bozou' of the group.

 

Koga is the drummer and back up singer of The Calling. He is a full-blooded wolf youkai. He has long black hair pulled into a high ponytail, he wears a deep green headband all the time, and he has the most shockingly sapphire eyes. He is very stuck up and once he sets his mind to something he is bound and determined to see it through. He wears mostly earth-toned clothes and is known as the arrogant and pig-headed member of the band.

 

These four males have been waiting for the day that would lead them to their fame and popularity on the grander stage. Little did these four know that that would soon be upon them…

A/N: I really wanted this chapter to explain each character and give a little background to each of them. I know that there is going to be some OOC action and I have brought back Sorano from my other story A Light Amongst the Darkness but when I envisioned this story I saw her as being apart of it.
