InuYasha's thoughts had been going all mumbo jumbo ever since the encounter with Kikyo. If that girl keeps annoying me like that, my demon blood might show through, and I could really hurt someone. Maybe having a conversation with shardetector would set him at ease.

 

demon'sclaws: what's up?

 

shardetector: nothing. I feel like crap. some girl at school is out to get me

 

demon'sclaws: ouch. im glad im not the only one.

 

demon'sclaws: why's she out to get you?

 

shardetector: I don't know, it's like some sort of contest for her. like, let's see who can irk her to insanity today

 

demon'sclaws: “irk”?

 

shardetector: ya know, annoy

 

demon'sclaws: oh

 

shardetector: so someone's bothering you too?

 

demon'sclaws: yeah, she's a real frikken bitch

 

shardetector: man, now I really wish I had my Japanese dictionary! then I could tell you how to curse at her in Japanese. i do know that baka=idiot.

 

demon'sclaws: hey, just curious, but what's dog in Japanese?

 

shardetector: I think its inu.

 

shardetector: why?

 

demon'sclaws: no reason

InuYasha closed the IM, but didn't log off. He wanted to talk to Houshi now, regarding the incident at lunch. He wanted to be advised by his friend. After all, Miroku HAD given him the rosary. InuYasha wanted to be assured that his appearance wouldn't change if his demon blood overpowered him again.

 

demon'sclaws: Miroku, you there?

 

Houshi: hey inu, what's eating ya?

 

demon'sclaws: I got a question about the rosary: will my demon appearance show through if I get angry like that again?

 

Houshi: to be perfectly honest InuYasha, I haven't the faintest idea. Mu'ushin was the one that created the spell, and he never really told me. I suppose if you were in any real danger it might happen. just try not to get mugged anytime soon!

Houshi: so what do you think of Sango?

 

demon'sclaws: she's okay. maybe a little violent. her friend was kinda quiet the whole time.

 

Houshi: at least that's better than talking too much.

 

demon'sclaws: I guess so. but she's kinda boring. I wonder why she was looking at me like that?

 

Houshi: maybe she LIKES you (wink)

 

demon'sclaws: no way man. don't you know: girls don't go for gay guys

Houshi: maybe she's not someone that listens to the rumors

demon'sclaws: a) Sesshomaru speaks American all the time. b) he's not the type of person to tutor me in it. c) we don't exactly have Japanese taught at GWHS

 

Houshi: so how did you know that inu=dog

 

demon'sclaws: shardetector's family is Japanese. she told me

 

Houshi: you still talk with her? I thought you compromised on the whole anime argument

 

demon'sclaws: she's a pretty cool person, just a little stubborn

 

Houshi: *gasp*

 

demon'sclaws: what!?

 

Houshi: wow. nothing, it's just, I've never heard you compliment someone before

 

demon'sclaws: keh. so what

 

Houshi: do you like her

 

demon'sclaws: well, considering the fact that she could be married for all I know, no, not really.

 

Houshi: man, then she's probably your only friend, besides me of course

 

demon'sclaws: gee, thanks. remind again why we're friends

 

Houshi: we met when we were 6, a few months after your mother died

 

demon'sclaws: right, I remember, and you asked me why I never went outside my yard, and why I looked like I do. And because I was so naive back then, I told you that I was a half-breed. Half-demon and half-human

 

Houshi: and I asked Mu'ushin if he could help you conceal your appearance. so he gave me the rosary to give to you.

 

demon'sclaws: and we became friends

 

Houshi: I miss those innocent days of the young…

 

demon'sclaws: we never could conceal my hair color or my eye color though

 

Houshi: oh, remember the time we scared that older kid senseless?
