Inuyasha sighed. Feeling guilty for lefting Kagome behind, he was at lost. Staring out of the plane window, he recalled the conversation with his father.

"You're going to get married. No buts, and no more divorce nonsense this time."

"What are you benefitting from it? I have my own choice of wife. Even if you choose for me, I'll divorce her sooner or later. It's simply not LOVE!"

"What is love? Is it worth for all my years of hard work? IS IT?"

"NO! Answer me: What are you benefitting from the whole wedding point? Another ally?"

"No-"

"Answer me!"

"SHUT UP! DON'T CONTRADICT ME! COME BACK EARLIER SO WE CAN DISCUSS THE DATES." He hanged up.

Burying his face in his hands, Inuyasha didn't know what to do. He hadn't been able to sleep all night because of Kagome. He was worrying for her. In the end, he had drove around the area at 3am in the morning. He was tired but couldn't sleep. He had really wanted to go back to see the cave. But he wanted to see it with Kagome. It seemed like the right thing to do. Sighing again, Inuyasha laid back and stared at the empty seat that was meant for Kagome. He closed his eyes. He could track her down when then reach Tokyo.

"Calm down. You're going to choke." Kouga chuckled as Kagome choked and gently thumped her on the back.

"You can't blame me for being hungry."

"You're going to get real fat if you continue."

"It doesn't matter."

"Yeah, I'll like you much more if you're chubby and cute." Kagome glared at him. "You know, you look real cute when you're angry." Kouga commented while soothing her back.

"It doesn't matter. He still doesn't trust me anyway."

"Who's he?" Kouga could feel her tensed as he asked the question. Cursing himself, Kouga grabbed Kagome by the arm. "Come on, let's go somewhere else."

"Where?"

Kouga chuckled. "I know of a place where you can scream your heart out."

Kagome seemed to consider that for a moment before taking his hand and started walking. "Wait!" Kouga shouted.

"What?"

"How can you go dress like this?" Kouga looked her up and down. "Come on, let's buy you some clothes first."

"I'm baggage-less."

"That's not a word. Anyway, why are you-" Kouga coughed, "baggage-less?"

"Your cousin. All my things are with him." Kagome whispered. Kouga knew she was going to cry again.

"Wha..? You mean he just thre you aside and drove off? That mutt-face! I'll get him for it!" Kouga's face contorted into fury.

"No- NO!" Kagome tugged at his arm. "I'm not ready to see him yet. Please respect my decision." Kagome pleaded.

"Ok fine. But if he does anything more to upset you, tell me." Kouga cracked his knuckles. A flash of light went through her head. Of Inuyasha cracking his knucles, of Inuyasha scolding her, of Inuyasha yelling at her , of Inuyasha smiling at her. Grabbing her head with both her hands, she screamed and blacked out.

A flash went through Inuyasha's head. Of Kagome telling him to sit, of Kagome yelling at him, of Kagome crying, of Kagome laughing, of Kagome looking at him with those sad brown eyes, of Kagome telling him she believed in him, of Kagome's never-say-die attitude. Banging his head against the steering wheel, Inuyasha screamed and blacked out.

"Houshi-sama, what's happening?" The girl in brown hair asked.

For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do. "Tell you what. Try and make Inuyasha wake up, and I'll try to make Kag-"

"I don't think so. You go Inuyasha, I'll be with Kagome. Adding to that, I'm watching Kagome while you're watching Inuyasha, don't you think it'll be abit odd to switch places now?"

"But Kouga-"

"You think there's a problem with it? He's just a human now. Youkai blood not shown. With my skills, I can take him down."

Miroku slung his shoulders in defeat. He put down the phone and and started towards Inuyasha with a wooden rod. Aiming carefully and silently praying that Inuyasha would not see him, Miroku threw the thick rod towards Inuyasha's car. It hit the window frame and Inuyasha's nose. He awoke with a start. Shouting a string of explosive curses, Inuyasha got out of the car while rubbing his nose.

"WHO THE FUCK DID THAT? COME OUT RIGHT NOW YOU FUCKING COWARDS!" Inuyasha yelled for half an hour, only to result a certain priest laughing hard in a corner.

Sango walked over to the poor Kouga, who was trying to wake Kagome up without touching her. "Let me." Sango took a bottle of water from her bag, moistured her tissue, and wiped Kagome's face, hard, but not hard enough to hurt her. Rubbing off all her make-up, Sango shook her shoulders gently and whispered into her ear. Kagome's eyes flew open as she tried to locate someone. She came face to face with Kouga, whose face was gleaming with amusement, then turned and saw Sango. Her arms flew open as her tears flowed. "SANGO!!" Kagome's tears wet her shoulder as she petted Kagome's back gently.

Kouga stool there, helpless.

"Wait, how did you know I was here?" Kagome suddenly asked.

"Well, I-" Sango stopped. "I... followed you!" Sango smiled. It was kinda true anyways.

Inuyasha rubbed his nose again while resuming his driving back to HIS apartment. Until his father tells him he's going to stop the engagement, there's no chance he's going back.

On the plane back, she stared out at window, then at Kouga beside her sleeping soundly. Then she heard it. "The birds of paradise...Ginta, Hakakku... Inuyasha... Kikyou.. Sango... Miroku... Shippou... Kaede... Naraku...Shinchintai... Kagura... Sesshomaru... Kanna, Kohaku..." With every name given, a picture was shown. Eyes snapping wide open, Kagome turned to Sango.

"Sango, Sango!"

Sango awoke with an irritated expression. "Huh?"

"Who's Kikyou? What about Shippou? And.. And the Shinchintai?" Kagome looked scared. She hid herself behind Sango's shoulder. "I'm scared Sango, to tell the truth, I've been having these illusions ever since I met Inuyasha, which was on my fifthteen birthday. What's happening?"

Sango didn't seem surprised at all. "I can't tell you Kagome. This is something both you and Inuyasha have to find out yourself."

Kagome looked at her incredulously. "How? He's just a big silly jerk who doesn't trust people and-"

"You know.. You have to find sometime to think about all of it. Regarding your father's camera, what will you do about it? You could ask Inuyasha to hold it off you know. I heard that if you don't claim your items within the time limit, they will put it up for auctions."

Kagome shrieked. "Oh my Kami! What do I do now?"

"Inuyasha? He can help you."

"You think he will?"

"Absolutely."

Kagome sat back, dejected. She was totally unaware of the human behind her, staring at both of them, confused and heartbroken, realising that Kagome had fallen in love with his cousin.

"Inuyasha, open the damned door!" Kouga shouted, kicking the door with all his might.

"Go away." Inuyasha sounded so sad, so dejected.

"Open the door before I really make myself at home. HOW DARE YOU! Leaving-" BANG "Kagome" BANG "alone" BANG "in-" Inuyasha opened the door and Kouga fell onto the floor.

"I really used to worship you, cousin. Not now, not after what you did to Kagome. You're not a gentleman. You're just a piece a ass. I don't know how-" Inuyasha sent a punch to Kouga, causing him to fall again.

"You think I wanted to do that? She didn't want to get on! I asked her! You fucking wolf, get out of my sight before I decide to maim you!" Inuyasha's face represented pure anger.

"Are you sure you convinced her? She loves you! I heard it with my own ears when she telling her friends! Have you ever considered her feelings? No! You just want to make money and live all your life surrounded by famous people! All you want is money! Money! MONEY!!!" Kouga yelled back.

Inuyasha sighed and went back into the computer room, totally bent on ignoring Kouga. Kouga came in and tried to make him listen. Finally, Inuyasha went to bed. Kouga punched a hole in the doorway and walked off. Hearing Kouga close the main door, Inuyasha got up slowly. He stared at the phone for a long time. Finally, he picked it up and dialed her house number.

"Higurashi." A cheerful tone on the other end sounded. It was Kagome.

Inuyasha gulped. "Ka-Kagome?" Total silence met him. "Can you come out? I need to see you. I'll meet you at twelve at Starbucks." Inuyasha tried again. Finally he heard it. Kagome's sobs and the sound of phone hanging. Trying to call back, he cursed as he realised that Kagome must have plugged out the line.

"He-he called me" Kagome's knees gave way as she hit the floor and plugged out the line accidentally. Should she go? "I still need my pride. Of course I'm not going."

"You'e going. Trust me."

"You again?"

"If I'm not here, there wouldn't be you."

"Yea yeah..What ever. I don't care. I'm not going. After treating me like that? Uh-uh."

"He's your saviour! Is your father's camera worth the quarrel?"

Kagome sighed and cursed herself for not being hardworking. She will go. Secretly.

"You know, rather than sneaking around, I'd much prefer staying at home"

"Shut up." Kagome lowered her glasses and looked around again. Then she saw him. Inuyasha was in his business suit, looking at his watch as he looked around. "It really scares me how gorgeous he looks." Then Inuyasha saw her. Face reddening, she tried to look somewhere else but Inuyasha already saw her.

Inuyasha walked over with caution and Kagome winced as he smashed into another person. Inuyasha's face reddened and continued walking. When he reached her, he was afraid to sit down. Kagome motioned for him to sit.

"You-you can keep the necklace. And here's your pay." Inuyasha pushed the envelope towards her.

Kagome looked shocked. "What?"

"Well, I made you angry, didn't I? Here's the compensation for it plus the necklace. Happy now?"

"NO!" Kagome stood up. "Why can't you just apologise? Is it that hard to do so? Is it? I don't think it is at all."

"But this is compensation!" Inuyasha looked so confused that Kagome almost gave in.

"NO! Sorry is SORRY! Compensation is NOTHING to me! I don't care about money and fame. What I want is a sincere apology from YOU!" Kagome dashed a hand over her eyes and stormed off. She was so angry that she bumped into a lady.

"You bitch!" The woman screamed at her in a high-pitched voice. "This is a very, very expensive dress!"

"I-I'm sorry, I'll pay for it!"

"Pay? You look like a house maid! You want to pay?" The man beside her shouted. Inuyasha came running to Kagome. Then he saw the badge on the man's collar.

"You, you come here." Inuyasha led the young man outside.

The woman was still glaring at Kagome with a triumphiant look on her face. Suddenly, the man came rushing in withhis face so pale like he had just seen a ghost. Inuyasha patted him on the back and lead Kagome outside.

"What happened?" the woman asked.

"He's my boss. He's giving me 1 month of vacation plus more than enough money to pay for your dress." The man managed to say. The poor thing looked so shocked.

"I got your camera back."

"What?"

"I got your father's camera back." Inuyasha repeated. He finally looked at her. There's some place we need to go."

"Where?"

"You promised me to go to Midoriko's cave with me. There's something I want to say to you. I'm really sorry. Sanota-san signed the contract. I'm really sorry." Inuyasha looked so guilty that for a moment, Kagome mistook him for a puppy.

"Nevermind. When will we get back?"

"Should be quite fast. It's not very far." Inuyasha commented. An awkward silence followed. Hours followed and Kagome fell asleep. It was evening, when they reached the place. Inuyasha woke Kagome and they got off the car. Kagome stared in awe at the place. An odd sense of peace washed over her and she felt like she was being cleansed. She closed her eyes and breathed in the air. A power surged through her. Then she saw something translucent at the mouth of the cave. Kagome opened up her fists and started to push away that thing with Inuyasha watching her move. A pink glow shot from her hand and the thing disappeared. Both of them walked in.

"They got through!"

"Told you!" Miroku made a show of flicking his wrist and looked at the time. About time anyway. Midoriko-sama should be awake by now."

"Geez, it's dark in here." Kagome commented. "Hey what's that light?"

Elphaba: ok well great chappie!!! hmmm... mrs.H could have been engaged 2 a totally jerk, or she could have broken off her engagement w/ mr.H. i dont know but if i think of anything.

Fiona: Geez, great idea. Didn't think of that.But it's going to be weird because most people pictured Kagome as a wonderful innocent girl. If I said her father was a jerk, it will be complicating. Broken off engagement yes, but if they broke off the engagement how did Kagome come about? My imagination's not very good. xDD

mikogirl: awesome chapter!!! mrs. H could have a picture of Kagome & Inuyasha when they were kids,or something.

Fiona: Hey thanks for the comment. But I already have an idea of Inuyasha and Kagome. The problem now is the Mrs. Higurashi. Bleahs~ shouldn't have typed that out in the first place. Now I'm in deep trouble.
