InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Silver Rebel ❯ Sesshy's a doctor? ( Chapter 5 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. I'm sorry I haven't been able to update. Thursday and Friday I had to leave school early and this is where I write my stories. I don't know if I told you or not, but I can't update over the weekends. It's a long story but the short thing is that I have to do it here at school. Well, let's start before I forget what I'm writing... Oops... Too late...

Kagome winced as she pulled her backpack over her shoulder. The cut from a few nights ago still hadn't healed. Actually, it had gotten bigger and she suspected that Naraku had put poison on the blade. Her uniform was stretched tightly around her upper arm and Kagome strongly suspected that it was going to be hell trying to get it off. It was a little chilly out so that gave Kagome a reason to wear a light sweatshirt. So far, no one had suspected her of anything.

The day had gone by with the normal 'blah' and Kagome had tons of homework. "Hey!" Someone called from behind her. Kagome turned and saw Kouga running up to her in the empty hallway. He had been trying to get her to go out with him since her first day at school. She sighed and stopped when he caught up to her. "Hey, what's up?" He asked.

"I'm going home." She said politely. "Why?"

"Oh I don't know, just curios I guess." He replied. "How about I take you out to dinner?"

"Kouga, I already said I don't want to go out with you." She started to turn away when he grabbed her arm where she had gotten cut. He was gripping hard and Kagome winced. "Hey!"

"You are going to go out with me." Kouga said gripping harder. "I'll make you."

Kagome couldn't hurt Kouga because if she did, it would make her look too strong. She had to play the innocent act. "Kouga let me go that hurts!" She yelled. She could feel the cut opening.

"Not until you say you'll go out with me and be my woman." Kouga said menacingly. He twisted her arm and she cried out, tears coming to her eyes.

"No! Leave me alone!" She said trying to get away. She began to struggle when someone spoke quietly and dangerously.

"She said leave her alone." Kagome stopped struggling and looked to the darkened doorway near them. Inu-Yasha stood there with his arms crossed. Kouga's grip didn't change. "So let her go."

His golden eyes glowed with emotion. "Who made you the boss?" Kouga said. Inu-Yasha lowered his head and a scowl appeared on his face.

"You know exactly what made me better than you." He growled. "Now let her go." There was a moment's pause.

Then he threw her arm back and shot a dirty look at both Inu-Yasha and Kagome. He walked down the hall and out the front doors. Kagome was still looking at the door when Inu-Yasha spoke. "Are you alright?" He had dropped his hands to his side and had stepped out of the shadows.

"Uh, yeah I think so." She said rubbing her arm lightly. Something warm and wet caught her attention. She looked down at her hand and saw blood. She looked at her arm and saw that the blood had soaked through the light colored sleeve. 'Shitshitshitshit.' She kept thinking.

Inu-Yasha walked over to her and gently poked her arm. She winced. He took her hand and gently pulled her down the hall away from the Nurse's office and towards the doors that Kouga had just gone through. "Hey! Where are..."

"I'm taking you to my house." He said not elaborating. Kagome tried to let go of his hand but he gripped it just enough not to hurt but to keep it with him. After a moment she stopped struggling and let him lead her into the parking lot.

Inu-Yasha took her to his pickup and unlocked the door. He took her bag off of her back and threw it into the bed. Without protest, Kagome got into the passenger seat. Inu-Yasha went around to the other side of the truck and got in. He turned on the engine and the soft hum of the engine soothed Kagome into forgetting all of her fears. She really did like motors; any kind was fine with her.

Inu-Yasha put the car in drive and sped out of the parking lot. He sped along the road going way too fast, but instead of getting upset and yelling at him to slow down like normal girls, Kagome just enjoyed the ride.

After about twenty minutes they pulled into a broken-up-cement drive way in a cramped downtown neighborhood. He got out and motioned for her to do the same. She reached in back to grab her bag but found that Inu-Yasha had already done so. She muttered a thank you and followed him into the house.

It was small and a little run down. There were stains everywhere and it was a bit messy. He dropped her bag down in the kitchen and walked into the tiny dining room that had a steep staircase in it. The living room was attached to the dining room and two people were in there watching TV. "Hey Inu-Yasha! What took you so long?" Miroku called.

"Feh." He said in reply and walked up the stairs. Kagome looked in the living room and saw Miroku and Sango sitting on the two couches. They both sat up in surprise and stared at her.

"Hey! What's Kikyo doing her?" Sango asked straightening up.

"She's not Kikyo." Inu-Yasha yelled from ahead of her. "She's the new girl. I'm taking her to see Sesshomaru." The two had jumped up off of the couch and bounded up the stairs after them. They walked onto the landing and they followed them to the closest room. Inu-Yasha knocked on the door.

A tall boy, no man, answered the door. He had long white hair like Inu-Yasha's, but his face was more elegant looking than Inu-Yasha's. "What do you need." He asked like he was slightly annoyed with Inu-Yasha.

He stepped away from Kagome and pointed to her arm. "She got slashed and I think it's infected."

Sesshomaru sighed. "So why didn't you take her to a hospital."

Inu-Yasha glared at him. "Parking sucks, they take too long, and they cost too much." Sesshomaru rolled his eyes and moved out of the way to let them in. All four people walked into his room. It was rather simple. He had a desk with a computer on it, a rolling chair and a large bed with a deep crimson quilt on it. Kagome stood in the middle of the room while Inu-Yasha sat on the bed and Miroku and Sango sat on the floor next to it.

Sesshomaru pulled the chair out from the desk and motioned for Kagome to sit in it. "Take off your sweatshirt." Sesshomaru ordered. She did what she was told, but didn't sit down. He looked at her arm and knew he couldn't get to her arm with her shirt like that. He walked over to his dresser, pulled out a baggy shirt, and threw it at her. "Put that on. The bathroom is down the hall to the left." She glanced at the others then walked out the door.

"Brother," Sesshomaru started. "I can't help but feel that you like her." He looked at Inu-Yasha.

"Where the hell did you come up with that?" He retorted.

"You're always bringing strays home that you like."

They heard Kagome give a soft cry, and Inu-Yasha jumped up at the sound. "It's just her arm." Sango said and touched his leg. He looked down at her and gave a grunt.

When Kagome came back Sesshomaru pushed her down into the seat and lifted up the sleeve. Her arm had blown up and was all purple. The cut it self was covered in a thin layer of yellow puss(eww!). Sesshomaru shuffled through his desk to find a vile and a sterile syringe. He took some of the medicine and injected her with it. He did this so quickly that she didn't have time to object. Then he went to his desk again and pulled out a little bottle and gave it to her.

"I've sterilized the wound, that was the shot, but you need to apply this twice daily until it is completely healed. But I should warn you that you shouldn't race until the healing is done."
