InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The Sorcerer ❯ Chapter 2
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Author Note: Here it is. I struggled with this chapter a great deal more than I like to admit. I don't know why but there was always something that I wasn't happy with. Maybe just my muses that tried to mess with me. The title may not seem like it belongs to this story but the main idea from the beginning was that InuYasha were born a sorcerer and he still is, in a way. He only have the visions so far and there is some other meaning to why he is a sorcerer but I think I did a lowsy job on explaining it. To make it simple I just didn't want to change the title on this one since it stuck for so long. I dunno if there is any more coming on this one as an epilogue or anything, have to think about it but there is so much else that I want to write. So look out for further news.

Part 2 of 2
The royal palace was in chaos. Servants and soldiers were running around, turning the palace inside out for their seer. When hours had gone by and InuYasha still hadn't returned the King ordered a search for the man. He had even threaten his men that unless they found him they would pay with their lives. Swearing that InuYasha must not come to any harm. Still, no one of them could imagine what was happening.
-o-o-o-o-o-
InuYasha opened his eyes as he felt a hand tenderly stroking his face. For a moment he was confused to where he was but then it all came back to him. Who he was with and what it meant. He raised his eyes and smiled happily. He nuztled even closer as he rested his head against Sesshoumaru's chest, both half sitting-half laying on the ground beside a camp fire to keep the coldness of the night away. InuYasha lazily took in the surrounding of the open field around them. After the first shock and wave of tears had ended they had moved away from the tree they meet and to where Sesshoumaru had put up camp for the night. It didn't matter that they were out in the open, as long as he could be in his brothers arms.
"Brother." he whispered as his eyes closed on their own as Sesshoumaru's fingers ran softly next to one. "You weren't a dream."
The older one of the brothers pulled the other one closer as his hands run all over InuYasha's face and shoulders. "It's not a dream." he replied softly. "And I'm not letting you go ever again."
"I'm happy, brother." InuYasha said, "I remember you vaguely. It's been years since I last saw you so I was scared that I wouldn't recognize you anymore. But it's all right now." he snuggled closer against the fabric that separated them, breathing in the others smell. "I'm so happy."
"InuYasha." Sesshoumaru broke the silence. "They will come to look for you."
The grip on his sleeve tighten. "I don't want to go back."
"They will take you by force to the palace." he stated it as a matter-of-facts. "We will be separated once more and then.... we won't ever meet again."
"I don't want that." InuYasha felt like crying. "I don't want to let you go. Not this time. I won't." his words sounded almost childish but they held sincerity in them too.
Sesshoumaru couldn't help but smile before his face turned serious. "InuYasha." he looked into the amber eyes of his little brother. "Will you be mine."
-o-o-o-o-o-
"We haven't found him." reported a guard.
The King sneered at the man and send him away with a low curse of cutting his head of. Next to the man who ruled the land stood a woman dressed in long black robes which covered her head to toe. She raised her head as the retreating footsteps faded away.
"With this there is a big chance you will lose the boy." she said in a raspy voice. "But then again this was meant to happen someway or another." she bowed her head as the angry king came closer.
"If it weren't for your foretelling you would be long dead, witch." he spat at her with hatred in his dark eyes. "You told me that everything would be mine as long as I had the boy in my hand. I've waited for him to grow up but you said nothing about this."
"Fate is unavoidable. It can't be changed no matter how much you try to break its chains." the woman said. "Every word have a double meaning, every sound have a second note. Every song have a truth in it that can't be changed no matter how much you change the words in it. Maybe you weren't meant to have the power the boy can grant."
A sword was drawn and it's bold point touched almost her face. It stared her right in the eye while it was hidden by shadows.
"Say that one more time and I will end your life just as I ended your eyes." the King promised as he was met by the once beautiful face of the witch. Her eyes was crossed with long scars and as she opened them blank white eyes stared back. Her sight long gone and also was her beauty.
"Even if you kill me there is nothing you can do if you aren't the one meant for the boy." she told him coldly. Not caring for her life, just his death.
"Then I will bring down the stars if it means to make the prophecy mine. Nothing will stand in my way of ruling this world."
-o-o-o-o-o-
"What did you say?" InuYasha stammered.
"Be mine." Sesshoumaru said once more. "Let me make love to you. Then no one will stand in our way and I will protect you forever."
The young man shock his head. "It's... that is... you... and I... but...but... we are brothers?"
"Yes, and that brings us closer than normal people. I love you InuYasha." He caught his hand in his and brought it to his heart. "When I saw you by the pond I knew where my heart rested. In my long searching for you I started to love you more and more but not until I saw your face could I tell just how much I really did."
InuYasha stared at him with watery eyes, still trying to deny it even as he felt how the words of his older brother became his own. "Do you really love me?" he asked carefully, not wanting to be hurt again.
Sesshoumaru nodded his head as his eyes looked at him tenderly. "I love you InuYasha. Be mine forever. Here and now before anyone can come between us again."
-o-o-o-o-o-
"At the death of the Kings a boy will be born,
Humble his birth shall be in hardship and eagerness,
Protected by that Gods the innocent child will grow,
'Cause he holds the key for greatness,"
-o-o-o-o-o-
A tender kiss upon trembling lips. They leaned against the touch, never known as their innocence was fading away, opening new doors for them. Sesshoumaru parted his lips and was happy that the motion made InuYasha open his too so his tongue could enter the others mouth. Engaging them in a duel of passion. Both giving and taking as they were swept away. Their hands clutched each other as they desperately tried to get closer.
-o-o-o-o-
"He connect the heaven and earth,
The Gods and the Devils,
His eyes see everything and know everything,
Nothing shall be hidden from him as he wait,
For there is only one that will have him,"
-o-o-o-o-o-
Sesshoumaru gently lay him down on beside the fire, letting the light of the flames warm them as their clothes were slowly shed and their naked bodies touched, making them both moan. InuYasha raised his leg so he could cradle his brother between his thighs. Sesshoumaru looked down into InuYasha's eyes as the flames shaded their eyes in deep red lustful colour.
-o-o-o-o-o-
"Pure and harmed from the world,
Their souls shall reach out to each other,
He shall grant power to the one who posses him,
A power that will make every wish,
Either good or evil,
Come true,"
-o-o-o-o-
InuYasha arched his back as a sensitive spot on the inside of his thigh was caressed. His hands reached around Sesshoumaru's back and his nails broke the skin as they clawed for grip. He rode the waves of pleasure, his body felt like it would burn like the fire. They were coated in sweat, one of InuYasha's hands let go and tried to grip the ground beside them in hopeless tries before Sesshoumaru caught his hand and enterwiend their fingers.
-o-o-o-o-o-
"For he will be the new ruler with everything in his hand,
With the miracle by his side he shall rule the world,
And a fire will catch the wicked,
All those who are wicked to him,
And the heavens shall call his name,
In endless songs,"
-o-o-o-o-o-
They whimpered as their bodies became one. The heat rising between them and despite that Sesshoumaru caressed InuYasha's face while he kissed those breathless lips. With a steady movement he began to thrust into the eager body under him.
-o-o-o-o-o-
"He will bring a new era,
And the miracle will hold the heart,
Which means the most to him."
-o-o-o-o-o-
Together they came as the stars bore witness to their act. While still in the aftermath they held each other, spooned up together. Both feeling a deeper connection with each other than before. Their hearts beat as one and they could feel the other next to their own heart. Should one die the other would follow for one couldn't live anymore without the other. The laws of nature were moving as something else also awakened slowly inside one of them but they weren't aware of it.
In fact, nothing of the consequences of their love making mattered at that moment. Not when they watched lovingly at each other while falling into a dreamful sleep.
-o-o-o-o-o-
The next morning they were pulled from their sleep as they were pulled apart by soldiers who had just found them. Sesshoumaru had just enough time to open his eyes before he was hit hard by something on the back of his neck. Sending him into confusion and disorder while he was dragged, without clothes or grace to the city and through it. Tied by his hands he was dragged along the road, sometimes falling when a new hit landed on him but he kept on going.
InuYasha wasn't far behind but treated more carefully. He was given robes to cover him and also a horse to ride back to the palace. Although he only followed Sesshoumaru, he fought the angst and fear in his heart.
The time it took them to get to the palace felt horribly long. InuYasha wanted to weep as his brother and lover was dragged through numerous streets without any regards for his dignity. He wanted to reach to him but he was held back by the guards around him. People who were already awake and doing affairs on the streets stopped and looked. Only Sesshoumaru's long white hair shielded him from the onlookers.
Finally they arrived inside the doors of the palace but there it was even worse. Rumours had spread out and now when they saw the traits they shared in their hair and eyes it wasn't long before they whispered of shared blood. Which made it even worse.
They were both pulled in front of the King, Sesshoumaru on the floor while InuYasha could remain standing. He looked helplessly upon the man who had chained him to this place for 12 years. The man responsible he was taken from his family in the first place.
"The crime you've committed will be rewarded with death." the mad King said without waiting. "I want his head before me within the hour."
InuYasha fell to his knees next to Sesshoumaru and put his arms around the older man. "Please spare him." he pleaded.
The King looked over InuYasha before he spat out. "He touched you didn't he? I protected you to keep you pure, to keep your innocence but you give it to this man without thinking. Kill him and make InuYasha watch as his blood flows."
"You haven't changed a bit." Sesshoumaru sneered. "Still only thinking about yourself, kill anyone that stands in your way or insults you."
"I don't have to listen to a dead man." The man said as he stepped closer. "Just tell me. What kind of connection do you share with my boy? You're both albino, something that isn't usual for two individuals unless they share blood. Cousin? Uncle? A distant relative? Direct family?"
Sesshoumaru looked up with hate radiating through his eyes at the King. "Elder Brother." The rope holding his hands together snapped and his hand drove right through the Kings chest, it emerged on his back, drenched in blood. "InuYasha is mine. No one will touch him other than me." Sesshoumaru hissed as he loomed a head over the King while he stared coldly into the dead eyes of the cruel ruler.
The room went into hushed shock as Sesshoumaru threw his arm, sending the man across the room. His strength even surprising himself. He looked at his arm before he snapped out of it, when he turned around he startled everyone. He reached out for a silk curtain by one of the windows and tore it so he could tie it around his waist.
While Sesshoumaru covered himself he for the first time saw the purple stripes on his waist. When he touched them he felt a tingle in his body. When he took a step forward he saw similar lines on his ankles, as well as his shoulders, wrist and upper arm. When he heard a rustling he turned around and saw InuYasha coming closer to him. A hand reached up and caressed his cheek and felt the same tingling on his face. His hand came up and cupped InuYasha's before he pulled his little brother closer.
Into a kiss.
When they parted their eyes locked and for a moment they were lost until they were pulled back to reality. Servants fleeing the palace, guards unsure of what they should do and the dead King in his own blood by the wall. The noise around them rose to new levels and almost drowned each other out.
"Let's go." said Sesshoumaru before he began to lead the way out.
InuYasha nodded as he held tightly onto the blood stained hand but it didn't matter. It was the sign that he was free from his chains. Free to live and free to love and the one to set him free was his brother.
But when they reached the main door they were stopped by a woman dressed in black robes. Her eyes covered by hideous scars.
Sesshoumaru took a step so he stood in front of InuYasha. "What do you want?" he asked glaring at her.
"Long ago there was a prophecy made that foretold of a great ruler and the child that would lead him on the road." she began.
"What does this have to do with us?" InuYasha asked for he knew that she couldn't harm them.
"The prophecy is the reason why you were taken away from your home. So many lives spilled at the hands of a mad King." her face showed sorrow. "I will now tell you the whole prophecy as you have taken the first step toward your destiny, for only you have the right to hear it."
"At the death of the Kings a boy will be born,
Humble his birth shall be in hardship and eagerness,
Protected by that Gods the innocent child will grow,
'Cause he holds the key for greatness,"
"He connect the heaven and earth,
The Gods and the Devils,
You hold the blood of both worlds,
You are the link."
"His eyes see everything and know everything,
Nothing shall be hidden from him as he wait,
For there is only one that will have him,"
Nothing will be hidden from you,
You learn of the world you live in,
This gift will also help you find your path to walk in this life,
because there is only one made for you."
"Pure and harmed from the world,
Their souls shall reach out to each other,
He shall grant power to the one who possessively love him,
A power that will make every wish,
Either good or evil,
Come true,"
"Posses or love you.
This world will have shaped you both,
You will waken the sleeping blood in his body,
Be it evil or good,
To protect or destroy,
To bless or curse,
It's entirely up to him."
"For he will be the new ruler with everything in his hand,
With the miracle by his side he shall rule the world,
And a fire will catch the wicked,
All those who are wicked to him,
And the heavens shall call his name,
In endless songs,"
"He will bring a new era,
And the miracle will hold the heart,
Which means the most to him."
"Through his ruling,
And the love that connect you,
You will bring a new era to the worlds,
You will never love another as you love each other,
Ruling over him as he rule over the land,
And there shall be no regret."
She fell silent before she stepped aside, letting them pass. Just as they were next to her she said one more thing. "Fate is absolute. No one can alter it even for their own selfish desire. Our King suffered that because he didn't listen to my warning. Let this be a warning to you if you ever try to falter from your path."
Neither of them stopped to ask her anything. They just left her standing on the bridge.
They walked out from the city and away from the land that had kept them apart, neither of them wanted to stay. While they walked InuYasha had a vision of what lay ahead of them and he smiled. Because he knew then that he had nothing to fear because he would always be in his brothers arms.
Even as they ruled a world far beyond the imagination of mortals.
