“Inuyasha what's wrong?” Kagome said while tugging at his arm continuously.

 

“I wouldn't know if you're making so much unnecessary noise. Shhhh! Let me listen.” He put his hand other her protesting mouth and pricked up his ears. He sniffed the air a little, twitched his ears some more.

 

“Kagome stay here. Do NOT move under any circumstances. Do you understand?”

 

“But Inu-”

 

“No buts! Why do you always have to argue? Now wait.”

 

He sniffed the air again then disappeared into the forest. A couple of seconds later there was a commotion. And then a silver flying object whizzed past Kagome just inches away from her face. The weapon imbedded itself into a tree. Kagome went up to it and pulled it out from the middle where there was a material wrapped tightly around it to give it grip. She looked at it curiously. This was a very dangerous thing she thought to herself. How would Inuyasha cope she wondered. Then there was some more crashing about and then audible shouting.

 

“Let go of me or I'll claw your face off.”

 

“Argh stop struggling, you stupid girl.”

 

“I'm older than you for sure. So let me go NOW!!”

 

Kagome stood on her tip toes trying to see the new offender. Inuyasha slowly came into view with a struggling girl whom was trying her hardest to scratch his face. Kagome went up to them and hand the girl her weapon while saying gently.

 

“Oh hello! My name is Kagome. Nice to meet you. What's your name?”

 

The cat demon stopped struggling, seeing that she wasn't in any danger.

 

“My name is Akyta! And I've been on the trail of a dog demon, but I've obviously been tracking the wrong one.” She turned to Inuyasha, “but you smell so much like him, you must be related to him or something.”

 

At that moment two more humans, a little fox demon and a very cute little cat demon appeared. The fox demon spoke first.

 

“Kagome who's this? Is she a good person? Where did she come from? What were you guys talking about? How-?” At this point Inuyasha stood on the fox demons head to shut him up. Kagome didn't like this act of violence one bit.

 

“Inuyasha! SIT! Shippo are you okay?” she said to the little fox demon who was now holding his head in obvious agony. “Shippo this cat demon's name is Akyta. And we've crossed paths because she's looking for someone. Who I think maybe Sesshoumaru.”

 

As soon as she said that last word Akyta stood up full attention ears pricked up tail swishing madly.

 

“You know him? Where is he?” she flexed her claws. “He needs to pay!”

 

The group stood in silence. Quite shocked and not sure what to do. Sango went up to her and tapped her shoulder lightly.

 

“You can travel with us if you like. We're always bumping into him. He's Inuyasha's older half demon brother. I hope you don't mind me asking but why do you want to find Sesshoumaru so badly?”

 

“It's a long story you might want to sit down for this.”

 

They all gathered round and sat as she told them her saddened past. Afterwards Inuyasha got up stretched and said,

 

“So I guess you're like my adopted big sister? That's so weird. Well guys lets get going.”

 

And with that the group set off with a new member in tow.
