Akira casually sat under a tree resting when she felt a gust of wind blow past her. She looked in the direction of the wind to see Kagura standing with an evil grin on her face.
“Naraku wants his answer now.” She demanded.
Akira rose to her feet quickly drawing her sword. “It's a shame you won't be able to return to tell him my answer is no.”
“Then I will take your head back to him!” Kagura raised her fan and sent blades of wind flying toward the demon girl.
Akira was quick to drop and roll out of their path. Kagura again attacked. As Akira rose to her feet she met several blades of wind with her sword blocking them. Kagura released a faint evil laugh, “Block this!” she yelled. “Dance of the Dragon!”
Several swirling whirlpools of wind headed towards Akira. She tried nervously using her sword to shield herself from them but it was useless. She began to dodge the whirlpools of wind and blades of wind inside them. She managed to move from the path of two of them, but that put her directly in the path of a third one. She let out a howling scream as the blades sliced open her right arm, side, and back. `I have to get the hell out of here!' She thought to herself. She jumped into a tree well out of the path of the wind. Kagura caught her out of the corner of her eye and sent her blades of wind towards her.
But the blades of wind were blocked and a wind scar was sent plowing up the earth back towards her. Kagura quickly pulled a feather from her hair and took to the sky. As she barely missed the attack against her she looked down to see InuYasha standing glaring in her direction holding his Tetsaiga. Kagura continued to flee.
InuYasha's attention was redirected as he heard a loud thud behind him. Turning around he saw Akira's unconscious body lying under the tree she had sought to take refuge in. He walked over and knelt down beside her. She had several huge gashes and was loosing blood quickly. He wrapped her in his haori and carried her back to the village.
Upon his return he was greeted by scolding stares from Sango and Miroku as if he had done something wrong. InuYasha shook it off and carried the girl inside the hut. He waited outside while Kiade cared for the girl. The tension was becoming unbearable.
“What?” he said staring back at them angrily.
Sango quickly snapped her head and began buffing her weapon again as if she had not been staring. Miroku who was a bit more brave in this situation spoke up, “Just because you and Kagome had a fight doesn't mean you had to be so cruel to her.”
“A fight….cruel?” InuYasha said confusion overthrowing his anger. “What the hell are you talking about Miroku?”
“You two had a fight and then you didn't even say goodbye to her.” Miroku said lowering his brow.
“We didn't have a fight!” InuYasha replied. “And I didn't know when she was leaving. All I knew was she was leaving and going to be spending a lot less time helping us search for Naraku, but she never said when.”
“Well that's no…what did you just say?” Miroku sat with a dumbfounded look on his face.
“Something about those test and school.” InuYasha tried dismissing the subject.
Sango stopped polishing her weapon and looked blankly at InuYasha. `How selfish can you be?' she said in her mind. “InuYasha it's a lot more than that. Kagome's whole future depends on her final year in school and-“
“And our future depends on destroying Naraku.” He interrupted.
“And for three years Kagome has devoted her everything to helping us find him.” Fire began to grow in her eyes. “I do not think Kagome is doing anything wrong. She has her family, friends, and her entire future ahead of her on the other side of that well. And it's not like she's not going to be free to come and go as she pleases in six month. InuYasha you can be so selfish sometimes.” Sango stood up, pulled her weapon on her back and walked off.
Miroku sat in awe. InuYasha scoffed and shook it off. After all Sango couldn't stay mad for long, could she? Before Miroku could begin questioning InuYasha on exactly what had been said Kiade stepped out of the hut.
“I think she will be alright.” Kiade said with a doubt clinging on her words. “She has lost a lot of blood and I am not sure how fast her body will heal itself.”

But to everyone's surprise the demon girl was up and moving around by the third day under their care. She was healing herself extremely fast. She had explained her situation to the others, why her sister was looking for her and how Naraku tried to sway her into fighting InuYasha.
“I would like to thank you for helping me.” She said with a sly smile at InuYasha. Changing the tone of her smile and eyes she looked at Kiade, “And thank you also. I need to go and find my sister.” She stood and started to leave the hut.
“Are you sure you are well enough?” Sango asked.
“I'll be fine.” She answered in a friendly tone and stepped outside.
“We can't let her go alone.” Sango looked at Miroku and InuYasha.
“Maybe we should go with her.” Miroku suggested looking at InuYasha. “If Naraku sent Kagura after her once I am sure he will do it again.”
The mention of Naraku was all it took, InuYasha stood up, “Well what are we waiting for?”
They scurried out the door to catch up to Akira. “Oi,” InuYasha yelled. “We're going with you.”
“No really I'll be okay.” She reassured them.
“If Naraku is after you he'll be relentless. Allow us to accompany you until you find your sister.” Miroku offered.
“If you insist.” She smiled and everyone headed south.
