Summary:Kagome's past is unveiled and with that,brings new enemies,new adventures,and new love.Along with that,mating season is just along the corner.How's this poor girl supposed to deal with all this?
Chapter 1:The Final Battle and Kagome's Problem

So you might think that I might say 'Well,it was a sunny day in Sengoku Jidai and our heroes...' WRONG!That's OTHER stories!This is MY story!
It was raining in the Feudal Era right now.And not just raining,not just pouring,but it was hitting the ground so hard that you couldn't hear anything.The rain was icy cold,and felt icy hot when it hit your skin.Softball sized hail thudded on the ground continuely,rendering dents in trees and such.But the rain didn't affect our heroes,for they were in a powerful barrier,shielding them from the thunderous rain.But they didn't create that barrier to protect themselves.Naraku was the one who errected the barrier and they were in the final battle.Everyone was there in the battle.Well,that is,except Kikyo,Ayame,Rin and Jaken.Kikyo died early on in the battle,and now the only sign that she was ever alive,was her miko garments that were left behind.Kikyo had been shooting her arrows at Kagura when Naraku shot his tentacle through her body.The tentacle was filled with Naraku's deadly miasma and poisons,and the sharp knive-like spikes held acid.Kikyo's body was dissolved with that one tentacle,and was reduced to a neon green slime.The slime,however,had glowed pink for a minuted before seeping into the ground.Ayame couldn't attend the battle because her grandfather had a serious wound in his back left leg that needed her tending.The old wolf had been searching for a boar or two when a snake demon had caught him by surprise and bite him on the leg.Of course,Ayame would of loved to fight by Kouga's side,but it couldn't be so.Rin and Jaken had been ordered to stay at Sesshomaru's castle in the west to stay safe from the battle.Well,for Rin to stay safe,Jaken would just get in the way,so that's why Sesshomaru had told him to stay there with Rin until his return.
"THIS TIME YOU DIE NARAKU!WIND SCAR!"Inuyasha belowed to Naraku as he unleashed his mighty Wind Scar. Bright golden lights errupted from the ground and shot towards Naraku with an inhuman speed.But Naraku in turned smirked and created another barrier around himself.The Wind Scar met the barrier but it didn't do any damage to it or the person inside.Naraku chuckled evilly and his sinister smirk widened with pure malice.
"Stupid hanyou!Your pathetic Wind Scar can not hurt me!"Naraku yelled at Inuyasha as he grew a few more disgusting tentacles.He started to chuckle again,but was cut short when an arrow englufed in a bright pink light whizzed by his head dangerously.Naraku's black-red eyes filled with hatred and turned his cold glare to Kagome who still was in her fighting stance,the string on the bow visibly vibrating.
"Impudent wench!You shall pay with your life!"Naraku snarled at her as he grew yet another tentacle and shot it towards her body.
"KAGOME!NOOOOOO!"Inuyasha screamed through the pounding rain.Inuyasha's molten golden eyes widened with fear as he witnessed Kagome getting shot through the stomach,the tentacle coming out the other end,dripping with blood.
Kagome,in the mean while,was hanging limply from the tentacle that had been pierced cruely through her stomach.Her right hand,which had gone deathly pale along with the rest of her body,slowly released the blood red bow.The bow dropped to the ground with a soft thud,and falling still for out of use.The redness of the wood of the bow matched perfectly with the wound of Kagome's stomach, which was flowing with blood,an endless amount of blood.The blood had already stained her blouse and skirt,a bright contrast with the whiteness of her shirt,and now it was staining the ground a deep crimson. Kagome stared tiredly at the ground,the ground seemingly blurring up.Her eye lids were starting to feel like heavy weights,and they were begging her to shut them.Kagome felt the need to close her eyes,to fall into a deep peaceful slumber.But I can't.If I do...I might never be able to open my eyes again.Kagome thought as the cries and shouts of her friends were becoming more and more silent.Is this it?Is this the end for me?Kagome asked herself,hoping it was not to be true.
Her friends were shouting to her,hoping to hear her voice.But it never came.Their eyes grew cold and they shot their glare towards Naraku.They now knew that they couldn't reach through Kagome so they decided to cut the tentacle off and set her free.So all of them grabbed their weapons and was about to charge at Naraku when his cold voice echoed through the air.
"Fools,come at me and I'll kill the girl.Even if you are foolish enough to charge at me..."Naraku told them with an evil smirk plastered on his face.Then he moved Kagome closer to his body,making her look like a shield."Then you'll kill me with her."Naraku just smirked even bigger when they all froze on the spot.
The others froze,not moving at this new information.They knew if they attacked Naraku,he'll either kill her or they would end up killing Kagome theirselves.They didn't know what to do,so they simply got out of their fighting stance and stood there,staring at Naraku.None of them could do anything now without hurting Kagome.Sango couldn't use her boomerang,in fear of hurting her sister.Sango thinks Kagome of the sister she never had after traveling with Kagome and the others.And what good sister would hurt their sister?Sango couldn't.Tears blurred her eyes as she stared at her sister,dieing by Naraku's hands.NO!Kagome,you CAN'T die!I can't handle another death of a person I care for!Please hang on!Sango thought as she hung her head down low,silent tears falling from her saddened eyes.
Miroku turned his gaze from Kagome to Sango,who had her head hanging low.His dark blue eyes filled with sorrow even more.Sango... please be strong.Everything will be alright...I hope.Miroku thought as he shifted his gaze to Kagome again.Miroku,too,couldn't attack his sister.Miroku thought Kagome as his sister because she was kind to him,even after his impropate(sp?) gropes on her behind.She had helped him and had welcomed him into the group even with Inuyasha's dissapproval.She had taught him a lot of things about the future and had always brought him,along with everyone,something from her time.Miroku cared alot about Kagome and couldn't stand the thought of ever hurting her.He sighed as his eyes deepened with sadness as he watched Kagome's already pale skin become paler. Kagome...please be okay.Everybody needs you.Miroku thought as he started to prey to Kami that Kagome would be okay.
Shippo and Kirara were just gazing on to Kagome,being demons,able to hear her ragged and sharp intakes of breathes.Shippo had already started crying mournfully on Kirara's off-white fur,soaking it thoroughly.K-KAGOME!DON'T DIE!I NEED YOU!Shippo wailed in his mind as he cried harder.Kagome had become a mother of sort to the little fox,and the very thought of Kagome's death filled his heart with sorrow.He had already lost one mother,and he couldn't lose his adoptive mother.If he did,what reason would he have to be the hyperactive ball of fur everyone loved?What reason would he have to LIVE?None for Shippo.He'd probably run away and wait until he died,hoping to join Kagome in the heavens above.So Shippo couldn't lose his mother.He just couldn't.
Sesshomaru was standing there,just standing there with his Tokijin in his right hand.Sesshomaru's emotionless mask was still in place,but on the inside,he was boiling angry.White hot fire filled his heart as his inner-beast cried out to him to save his 'sister'.True,it hadn't always been like this,but Sesshomaru had come to terms with his little brother.Sesshomaru and Inuyasha still had their differences,but they didn't try to kill each other everytime they saw each other,which was everyday now.Sesshomaru had decided to join his brother's group because he felt the need to get closer to his little brother,if something were to happen to him,Inuyasha would be able to take over the Western lands,no matter how much he hated the idea.Sesshomarualso had found an interesting friendship with the young miko Kagome.They had become closer,and now both thought of the other as siblings. Sesshomaru had held a soft spot for Kagome,much like his adoptive child Rin,but he didn't show it around others.He knew he couldn't protect or help his sister nowso he stood there,waiting to see if anything happened.Kagome,you are a strong miko.I,Sesshomaru,know that you shall proval(sp?)in this situation.Sesshomaru thought as he kept his gazed locked on the wounded Kagome.
Kouga and the others stood still,the hair on their tails bristling with anticipation.Kouga didn't dare to attack his 'woman'.Kouga couldn't attack the woman he loved.He couldn't attack her because he loved her and how would he be able to mate with her if she was dead? Kagome,I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you!Forgive me!Kouga pleaded in his mind as he waited for Naraku to make his move.
Inuyasha,on the other hand,was starting to lose control.His eyes flashing from crimson red to his normal molten gold color.But no one saw this because his snow white bangs covered his eyes.His fangs were lengthening and a low growl errupted from his chest.Dark purple stripes started to fade in and out on his cheeks and the growl was getting louder and louder.His already sharp claws were getting longer too and were at the length of a full fledged demon.Tetsusaiga was pulsing,keeping Inuyasha under control,but Inuyasha didn't know how long it would be before his control finally snapped.Kagome...Was the only thing on Inuyasha's mind.Inuyasha growled louder,this time catching the attention of everyone present.
"Inuyasha,what's wrong?"Miroku asked Inuyasha as he stepped towards him,worried for his friend.
"Do not go near my little brother,monk.He is transforming.He can not be trusted right now."Sesshomaru told Miroku emotionlesslyas he looked to Inuyasha.
Miroku gulped and nodded to Sesshomaru.He walked back to his oringinal position and shifted his worried gaze to Inuyasha.
Kagome,in the mean while,was starting to lose conscienceness.She had alreadly lost too much blood and didn't know how long she could hang onto life.Tears started to spring into her eyes,blurring her vision even more.This can't be the end!What about my friends and family?No,I don't want to die.Kagome thought as her life was flashing before her eyes.Her childhood,school,her family,falling down the Bone-Eater's Well,meeting Inuyasha,the jewel,everything that had happened to her.No,I didn't even get to have the chance to tell Inuyasha I love him.
Don't worry.It's going to be okay...A voice in the back of her fogged up mind told her in a barely audible whisper.
Who are you?
I am you.Let your inner beast out...
Inner beast?What inner beast?What are you talking about?
Just let your memories flow overyour bodyand take control of your body...And everything will be okay...

With that,the voice was gone.Kagome decided to do what the strange voice told her and let all her memories flow over her body like water.Now,she was in complete nothingness.Blackness surrounded her and all her sences were gone.Then,this warm feeling came to her and Kagome welcomed it.It washed over her entire being,warming her.But then it all stopped for a moment.Kagome wondered why it would stop,but her ponders stopped when pain rushed into her body.Every part of her body,soul,and mind was being burned with this white hot pain.Kagome felt like she had been tossed into the sun,the imaginary flames licking at her bodycruelly.What was happening to her,she didn't know.But what she did know was that all her senses were back.So she felt every minute of the torture that felt like it was eating away at her.Kagome wanted to shout out in anguish,but her mouth was dry and was unable to make the sound.She then decided to cry,but her eyes were,too,dry so she couldn't shed her tears.Kagome felt like she was dieing and didn't know how much more she could take.What's happening to me?Why is this happening to me?Those were her only two registered thoughts as the pain was getting more hotter andmore intense.
The others gazed on in horror as Kagome's face was twisting in complete anguish and pain.What was happening to Kagome now?Why was this happening?Who was doing this?Was it Naraku?Was it someone else?The questions never ended in their minds.Inuyasha in the mean while was starting to lose the one thin string of control he possessed.His eyes flashed more violently,more quickly,and his growly never ceased.And in his mind,he was having a battle over control,and he was losing.
(DEA:Okay,this is Normal Inuyasha and this is 'Inner Demon Inuyasha')
'Damn that Naraku!He's hurting our mate!'
MATE?What the hell are you talking about?
'She's our mate,damn it!I've already staked our claim on her!'
No you haven't!You didn't bite her neck yet!

But his thoughts were cut short when he felt a huge wave of pure raw energy.And not just any energy,the energy of a powerful demon. Inuyasha's eyes darted around furiously,trying to find the source of the power,when his gaze met Kagome.His eyes widened as her power level was getting higher and higher by the second.A look of total and utter confusion was plastered on his face and shone vivedly in his eyes.
Sesshomaru was watching Kagome's energy waves errupt from her body when he decided to tell the others what was happening.So he turned to the others,who like Inuyasha had confusion written on their faces,and walked towards them.Their faces stayed locked on Kagome when they finally noticed another presence wasnext to all of them.When they did,they shifted their gaze to Sesshomaru who was standing there(DEA:In all his glory)waiting for them to respond to his presence.
"Now that you have noticed that I,Sesshomaru,stands before you,I shall tell you what is happening to her."Sesshomaru told them as he looked over to Kagome who was still letting off powerful energy waves.
"Y-You know what's happening to my momma,Sesshomaru?"Shippo asked the tall demon lord shakily,as his forest green eyes filled with hope.
Sesshomaru's face softened at the young fox demon.Shippo had oftened reminded Sesshomaru of Rin and Shippo too held a spot in the seemingly emotionless heart of Sesshomaru.
"Yes I do,Shippo."Sesshomaru told him fondly,almost like a father would.
"Then what the hell are you waiting for,Sesshomaru!Tell us!"Inuyasha shouted,out of his transfroming state when he heard the news of Sesshomaru knowing about what's happening to 'his' Kagome.
Sesshomaru lifted his gaze towards Inuyasha and shot him his trade mark death glare."As you wish,little brother."Sesshomaru told him with his voiced laced with venom and sarcasm."It seems that Kagome is..."

Kagome,in the mean while,was starting to lose conscienceness.She had alreadly lost too much blood and didn't know how long she could hang onto life.Tears started to spring into her eyes,blurring her vision even more.This can't be the end!What about my friends and family?No,I don't want to die.Kagome thought as her life was flashing before her eyes.Her childhood,school,her family,falling down the Bone-Eater's Well,meeting Inuyasha,the jewel,everything that had happened to her.No,I didn't even get to have the chance to tell Inuyasha I love him.
Don't worry.It's going to be okay...A voice in the back of her fogged up mind told her in a barely audible whisper.

With that,the voice was gone.Kagome decided to do what the strange voice told her and let all her memories flow over her body like water.Now,she was in complete nothingness.Blackness surrounded her and all her sences were gone.Then,this warm feeling came to her and Kagome welcomed it.It washed over her entire being,warming her.But then it all stopped for a moment.Kagome wondered why it would stop,but her ponders stopped when pain rushed into her body.Every part of her body,soul,and mind was being burned with this white hot pain.Kagome felt like she had been tossed into the sun,the imaginary flames licking at her bodycruelly.What was happening to her,she didn't know.But what she did know was that all her senses were back.So she felt every minute of the torture that felt like it was eating away at her.Kagome wanted to shout out in anguish,but her mouth was dry and was unable to make the sound.She then decided to cry,but her eyes were,too,dry so she couldn't shed her tears.Kagome felt like she was dieing and didn't know how much more she could take.What's happening to me?Why is this happening to me?Those were her only two registered thoughts as the pain was getting more hotter andmore intense.
The others gazed on in horror as Kagome's face was twisting in complete anguish and pain.What was happening to Kagome now?Why was this happening?Who was doing this?Was it Naraku?Was it someone else?The questions never ended in their minds.Inuyasha in the mean while was starting to lose the one thin string of control he possessed.His eyes flashed more violently,more quickly,and his growly never ceased.And in his mind,he was having a battle over control,and he was losing.

But his thoughts were cut short when he felt a huge wave of pure raw energy.And not just any energy,the energy of a powerful demon. Inuyasha's eyes darted around furiously,trying to find the source of the power,when his gaze met Kagome.His eyes widened as her power level was getting higher and higher by the second.A look of total and utter confusion was plastered on his face and shone vivedly in his eyes.
Sesshomaru was watching Kagome's energy waves errupt from her body when he decided to tell the others what was happening.So he turned to the others,who like Inuyasha had confusion written on their faces,and walked towards them.Their faces stayed locked on Kagome when they finally noticed another presence wasnext to all of them.When they did,they shifted their gaze to Sesshomaru who was standing there(DEA:In all his glory)waiting for them to respond to his presence.
"Now that you have noticed that I,Sesshomaru,stands before you,I shall tell you what is happening to her."Sesshomaru told them as he looked over to Kagome who was still letting off powerful energy waves.
"Y-You know what's happening to my momma,Sesshomaru?"Shippo asked the tall demon lord shakily,as his forest green eyes filled with hope.
Sesshomaru's face softened at the young fox demon.Shippo had oftened reminded Sesshomaru of Rin and Shippo too held a spot in the seemingly emotionless heart of Sesshomaru.
"Yes I do,Shippo."Sesshomaru told him fondly,almost like a father would.
"Then what the hell are you waiting for,Sesshomaru!Tell us!"Inuyasha shouted,out of his transfroming state when he heard the news of Sesshomaru knowing about what's happening to 'his' Kagome.
Sesshomaru lifted his gaze towards Inuyasha and shot him his trade mark death glare."As you wish,little brother."Sesshomaru told him with his voiced laced with venom and sarcasm."It seems that Kagome is..."
