Chapter 7: Chaos

As Kagome entered all eyes were on her. She was bowing to the lords when one of them spoke up from shock, “Kagome?”

 

Looking up she spotted Koga sitting across from Sesshomaru. “Koga! What are you doing here?”

 

“I'm the lord of the eastern lands but what are you doing…*sniffs* what the fuck? Why are you mated to dog shit's older brother and why are you *sniffing again* pregnant?”

 

“It's a long story Koga…and I don't want to go into it.” She shied away thinking about that incident. Though it was over, it would be a long time before she could look anyone in the face about that fact.

 

“Sesshomaru you fucking prick you raped Kagome didn't you?!” Sesshomaru's patience with this arrogant upstart that the precise eastern lord had given his son in his last days though now it was wearing thin. “Kagome my woman…”

 

“Hey I'm not your woman, I never was your woman we were only friends that's all nothing more!!”

 

“Are you challenging this Sesshomaru's claim on the miko?”

 

“Yes I Koga lord of the eastern lands challenges you Sesshomaru lord of the western lands for the rights to mate Kagome!”

 

“Koga!!!” Kagome yelled as a small bit of her powers came to life. Every one turned to look at her now. She had a reddish, pink glow around her that was causing 2 of the demon lords to fear her and the small amount of power to leak out. “I am not property that can be won I am a person who came to be Sesshomaru's mate under a difficult situation but that gives you no right to challenge him! If you ever try something like this again I'll make sure that you'll regret meeting me!” And with a quick wave of her hand the 2 shards that Koga here were pulled out of his legs without injury to him and landed in her hand. With that Kagome made a hasty run for the door and back to their living chambers.

 

That was it Sesshomaru's patients was at ends. Grabbing him by the neck he held him up. With a slight red tint to his eyes he spoke very dangerously. “If you disturb my `mate' again I shale kill you in a way that you'll wish you were dead.” With that he let him down. “This meeting is adjourned for this day; dinner will be in 5 hours.” With that Sesshomaru walked out to find his mate.

 

Following her scent lead him out to the right side of the castle where the gardens were. Nearing the outside of the back garden the scent of Kagome in pain caught his attention. Now worried that the pup was causing her pain he picked up his pace. Arriving in an instant he found Kagome hunched over in a fetal position with her arms around her stomach crying. Sesshomaru sat down next to her pulling her into his lap and placing a hand under her arms forcing calm and safety on the child. Though this time something was wrong. The child's demon power was at a very weakened state. `The flash of her power…it must have purified some of the pup's blood…this should help.” Summoning up his own red aura around him he used a small bit, forcing it into her and into the child, feeling the child's own aura come back with that help of his own Sesshomaru started rubbing small circled on her back. “Sssh it's alright…”

 

“No it's not alright!” Kagome said crying some more as she hugged onto Sesshomaru.

 

“Do not worry the pup is safe though frightened.”

 

“I almost lost control…if that had happened I could have purified our child and every one in that room maybe even the castle…”

 

`She worries about everyone around her and thinks of herself last, she would sacrifice her life if need be to see the ones she loves safe, she truly is a remarkable woman.' “This Sesshomaru does not that you would have lost control”

 

`Even in this dire time he still tries to comfort me…I feel better now…I wonder why?”

 

“Kagome?” She looks up to him. “You had expressed interest in returning to see your friends among returning to your time. In 7 days I will be patrolling my lands again. Near the end of the patrol we may stop by and see them.”

 

“You mean it?”

 

“Does this Sesshomaru lie?”

 

“No I was just surprised you would let me see them again that's all.”
