The Warrior Miko

Chapter 2

I heard a growl coming from both of the silver headed demons. I got in my fighting stance, pulling out both of my swords. All of a sudden I heard the strange girl whisper, "jewel shards". "Inuyasha, there are jewel shards up ahead." the girl said. In front of us I saw a demon. One had seen only once before. "Don't go near it," I ordered. "It's a soul stealer, this one particularly likes children. Guard the kids." Then off I ran to confront the demon. I used my powers to purify my swords. Luckily the demon had not feed yet, so I didn't have to worry about harming any souls. I jumped up and sliced off its right arm. Suddenly, I saw a white blur and a flash of silver. In front of me stood the guy with the guy with the tail. At his feet lay the demon, his head cut off.

"Arigatou," I said. The guy just walks off?!! "I can't believe this, you try to thank the guy and he just ignores you." I mumbled. "What's your problem, don't you have any manners, Pretty Boy?" I asked. I gasp for suddenly a hand was at my throat and I was pressed against a tree, by none other than Pretty Boy.

"I am the Lord Western Lands, Sesshoumaru. You shall address me accordingly, human." he stated with a growl. I grinned at him as I felt my power build up inside me. I knew my eyes were glowing purple, a sign that I was royally pissed.

"Let go of me." I stated. There came a growl and a flash of black. Keeping my eyes on Sesshoumaru, I said, "Kiro, stay back."

"Let go of her Sesshoumaru." demanded the one called Inuyasha.

"Sesshoumau-sama, please don't hurt the pretty lady." said the little girl, hugging on his left leg.

"Girl, mind your own business," said the toad. "Kill the worthless human, my lord.

"Jaken (sp), take Rin." stated Sesshoumaru.

"B…b...but, I want to see you kill the worthless human, my lord."

"Jaken."

"Yes, my lord. Come on girl." said Jaken, sighing disappointingly.

"But Rin wants to stay with Sesshoumaru-sama."

"Rin, go with Jaken." said Sesshoumaru.

The little girl sighed and said, "Ok, bye Kagome-neechan."

"Bye, Rin." said the one called Kagome with a wave and a smile.

"Stop dawdling girl." Jaken demanded.

"Bye, pretty lady." said Rin.

"Bye Rin and call me Nani, little one." I said with a smile.

"Well, bye Nani." Rin said, running toward Jaken, who stood at the edge of the forest mumbling about "stupid human".

"I will deal with you later, half-breed." said Sesshoumaru.

"Feh, just try it." said Inuyasha with a snarl.

Sesshoumaru growled and looked at me and said, "And I will deal with you later, too human.

I told him, "I'll be waiting. Just don't underestimate your opponent. Just because I'm human and a woman doesn't mean I'm weak. "He snorted (very arrogantly I might add) and said, "We shall she." and walked off.
