Huh? What's with Her

Disclaimer: Today I own an Inuyasha hole puncher, Teddy Bear earrings, and my own fairy wings. NOT Inuyasha!

"Uh, um well, we are in the Senior Building, across the street is the Freshman and Sophomore Building, and behind this building is the Junior Building." She said quietly, pointing to the school buildings while the walked through the school, with her head still down, and in front of them. "And through those doors is the cafeteria, you can also eat in the yard. Well I g-guess that's it, we have to get to our next class." Kagome said quickly, while rushing through the hallway as the alarming bell rung. Sango, Inuyasha, and Miroku had kind of a hard time keeping up with her, but managed to get to their next class, medicinal herbs and healing, without losing Kagome.

"What do you think is the matter with her?" Sango asked the boys while standing at the doorway, waiting for the teacher to introduce them,

"I'm not sure, but I wonder what she looks like, I can't get a full view of her face with her hair covering it." Miroku said.

"Keh, stupid lecher, is that all you think about?" Inuyasha replied,

"No, I" Miroku started, but was cut off by the final bell and the cough of the teacher.

"Well class, it seems that we have three new students, Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango, and it seems as if they need a guide for the week." Keade-sensei said, and every female and male hand went up (female for Inu and Miroku, and male for Sango.) Just then the teachers' computer did that 'you got mail' thing.

"Oh it seems that they already have a guide, Higurashi. Well in that case, disregard everything I said, and welcome our newest addition to our class." Keade said after reading the e-mail, (their HR teacher sent e-mails stating who the newbie's guide was). With a chorus of groans they said welcome.

"Oh yes, seats, um Inuyasha you'll share a desk with Higurashi, and Sango and Miroku, you to get the desk behind them." She said with a satisfied grin. (all the classrooms in the school have desks that can seat two, erm, picture a mini black table large enough to fit two teens), with a groan coming from Sango, the three of them went to the back to sit down.

"Okay class, we are starting a new unit, and that means new partners. Last semester it was the people behind you, this semester it's your desk mate. To get to know your desk mate a little better I've come up with an activity. Now there are four questions o the board, you ask and answer each of these four questions with your desk mate. Enjoy!" Kaede said cheerfully.

"Uh okay, what's your full name?" Inuyasha asked Kagome.

"It's Kagome Tenshi Higurashi, what's yours?" she answered softly.

"It's just Inuyasha Hiragana, erm, how old are you and when is your birthday?" he asked reading from the board.

"It's May 9, and I'm 17, and you?" she said still softly, looking down at her fingers.

" My birthday is May 10, and I'm also 17. What are your parents like and what are their names', and occupation?" he asked

"Well, my da-dad i-is not very nice sometimes, and he is a webpage designer, and is always home, his name is Tishio Higurashi. My mom, my mom is dead, she died four years ago, suicide, her name is Tsukana Higurashi, and she was a house wife. And I have to go to the bathroom, please excuse me." She said, feeling the tears well up in her eyes as she got permission to go to the bathroom. Inuyasha also got permission and followed her out of the classroom, for some reason he felt that he had to help her and see what was wrong. Just before she went into the bathroom he grabbed her wrist.

"Kagome, are you okay?" he asked softly. Shocked she lifted her head up to look at him to see if this was some kind of sick joke. Seeing that it wasn't she tried to stop crying but couldn't. "It's okay, shhhh, everything is gonna be alright." Inuyasha cooed softly, pulling her into a hug and rubbing her back in small circles. 'Huh, what's he doing, it kind of feels like what mommy did after daddy beat me. It feels nice.' Kagome thought, calming down her tears into little sniffles. "Thank you, but you didn't have to do that." She said with her head down again. "It's okay; I can't to see a woman cry. Now tell me why in the world you were crying." He said softly, while grabbing her chin gently so she can face him, but she stayed looking down. " It's nothing, I just really still miss my mom." She said wiping her face.

"What the hell happened to the side of your face?!" he asked staring at the black and blue bruise. "…" was Kagome's response.

"Kagome, look at me, what happened, it looks like somebody punched you in your face." He said, examinig the bruise more closely. She looked at him, her light brown eyes meeting his golden ones, 'My god, she's beautiful, she looks like an angel, no wonder her parents gave her a middle name like Tenshi, it means angel. She's flawless besides her bruised face, the sadness, and pain in her eyes.' He thought to himself while studing her face. " He is very hot, and the doggy ears are adorable, but his eyes hold pain and care and worry I wonder why?' she thought to her-self while studing him. Then she remembered his question, " Oh, I um fell off my bed this morning on to the edge of a book." She said pulling her face from his hands and going back to the quiet and scared Kagome. "Oh." Was all Inuyasha said while looking at her like he didn't believe what she said. "Man, good he's buying it, or atleast he didn't ask no more questions, I didn't have to do that since before momma died, after she was gone and we moved I didn't let anyone see my face, so there were no questions to be asked. I have NEVER felt like that, no I think I did but not for a long time. The only other person that made me feel like that was momma, she cared about me, and got worried, like inuyasha. I wonder why he even cared?' Kagome thought to her-self while walking into the classroom, and sitting down at her seat, with only 3 people noticing that she returned. That was Sango, Miroku, and the teacher. Soon after she sat down, Inuyasha came in with all female eyes on him, along with Miroku's curious ones. Right after he was seated in his chair the phone rang. "Hello Ms. Keade's room,… uh huh… okay I'll send her down, Kagome your dad is here to pick you up for your doctor appointment, see you tomorrow." Keade said hanging up the phone. Kagome's face went deathly pale and she gasped real loud. "Kagome are you okay?" Inuyasha asked. She nodded her head while quickly gathering up her stuff and going to her locker. "Hello Kagome, are you ready?" her dad asked when she got to the office. 'Oh no not again!' she thought to her-self while he dragged her to the car. 'Not again!!'
