CHAPTER 3
Now this was really starting to annoy her. This lord Koenma was actually a small toddler, an annoying one at that. But she had to admit he was so kawaii, he reminded her of the small vampire pups back home in the makai. She didn't regret her decision and probably never will, she wanted to be free and this was the only option to her that she would actually have some sort of freedom. But she would miss her father; he was the only one that treated her as if she was someone and not just a forsaked hybrid. And she would miss the stories of her mother that her father and Kaede always told her.
She looked down at the small wolf cub on her lap, he was staring at her with the cutest eyes and even went as far as to perk up his ears at her, his tail wagging madly behind him. She almost laughed at the sight but quickly caught herself. Vampires were suppost to be cold, heartless demons but she was different, almost. Yeah like the rest of her kind she drank both demon and human blood and greatly enjoyed doing so. Though it was more for survival even other demons looked at vampires at them has complete monsters. She had actually tried cooked human food before and she hated it, she liked it raw though.
She looked back at Koenma and finally realized he was talking to her. “I know that as a vampire blood is something that you require but you will not have fresh blood. In the human world there are things called blood blanks, and we have bought one to supply you with the blood you need. Under no circumstances are you to kill anyone that you come across.” He said as he eyed suspicious that she might attack him. He was actually afraid considering his detectives weren't here to stop her if she should go ballistic.
She took everything that he just said in, it made sense to her, and it saved her the time of hunting for her prey. She could smell his fear and she didn't know why but it really bothered her she wasn't used to people being afraid of her. It could be the fact that he didn't know what she was capable of, which was a lot but she preferred to only use her powers to protect herself if need be. Just killing someone didn't appeal to her; she had to have some reason behind taking the life of another.
“You shouldn't fear me; though I am a vampire I don't attack someone with a probable cause. It's just not my style. But something tells me that there are other things that you want of me.” She saw him somewhat relax and waited for him to tell her what else he wanted. He cleared his throat and took his time to come up with the right wording to use.
“I have a spirit detective team and as of now we are two members short, unfortunately they had passed away quite some time ago and now we need replacements for the up coming dark tournament. I would like you take a place on my team.”
She was considering his words; she had heard of the dark tournament by several demons and thought that it might actually be some fun to participate.
“Sure I have no problem with fighting in this tournament, it'll give me something to do…..So when is it.” She smiled at him and he seemed pleased that she had easily agreed to it. “It is in 3 years so it gives you time to prepare and time for me to find another member………We have also supplied you with a decent house something that you will approve with. I have also taken the inshative to have the windows covered with a special material that doesn't allow sun, so you shouldn't be disturbed when the sun comes up. I know that the sun wont kill you like it would a full fledged vampire but I'm guessing it still bothers you.” She nodded her head but didn't speak something he recognized about another one of his spirit detectives.
Considering they were both hybrids they should get along seeming as they had many things in common. But he could be wrong though he was hoping that he wouldn't be.
