Me: Godammit stop pacing its really irritating.

Lauren: ::watching in amusement.

InuYasha: ::mumble, mumble::

Me: What did you just say?!?

Lauren: InuYasha I advise you to run ::looks at watch::…nnnnow.

InuYasha: Eep! :: runs out of room::

Me: ::chasing after him with a katana in hand::

Rin: what did he say?

Sesshoumaru: You don't want to know

Rin: Oh.

Lauren: let us continue shall we?

“What did you just say?” Inuyasha asked Kagome, cocking his head to the side giving her a quizzical look.

 

“Why... why did you just kiss me, Inuyasha” she said again in a choked voice.

 

To say Inuyasha was stunned would be an understatement. He was flabbergasted ((A/N: hahahahahaha flabbergasted I love that word anyway where was I?)). `your bitch is going to reject you, look at her, she's disgusted by you, you filthy half -breed, how could anyone, especially a beauty like her possible want you' a voice in Inuyasha's head said to him, `shut up she's not like that she's Kagome she's…. not like that, fuck off you bastard' he responded. His demon side just laughed at him.

 

“what do you mean `why' don't tell me your that stupid wench,” as soon as the words left his mouth he regretted it, that was defiantly not the right thing to say. Anger flashed in Kagome's eyes and her miko aura flared up along with her anger.

 

“don't call me wench Inuyasha we've been through that before, and I'm not stupid and I swear to god if you don't back off right now I'm gonna castrate you, how fucking dare you, you baka.” She yelled at him and stomped off as best she could with her hurt leg.

 

`DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT' he screamed at himself in his head, he needed to make things right and he needed to do it soon.

 

“Kagome come back, Kagome you're gonna get yourself hurt, pathetic human,” he ran after her.

 

“Fuck you Inuyasha” she yelled at him. She looked forward to see him standing right in front of her blocking her way.

 

“Kagome I didn't mean it I...”

 

“Save it for someone how cares” she scolded him and pushed past him. `No no this isn't how its supposed to happen' he thought. So he did the first action he could think of. He grabbed her and pressed their lips together, hoping to whatever god, preferably a good god, was watching them at that moment would make her stay and listen to him. Kagome tried to struggle, she beat her fists on his chest but he just wouldn't let go. The more she moved the hard and more passionate Inuyasha made the kiss, willing her to stay, for her to hear him out, for her to understand how much he loved her. He poured all of his love into that kiss, willing her to realize what he was trying to say. What he has been trying to say for years. Kagome stopped struggle and gave into the kiss, it was something she always wanted, she longed to be in Inuyasha's strong arms for her lips to meet with Inuyasha's. Finally the kissed ceased when they both no longer could breathe. Kagome rested her head on Inuyasha's chest, her eyes closed.

 

“You're such a jerk” she whispered. Inuyasha chuckled and wrapped his arms around her body. `Mine' he thought possessively.

 

~~at Kagome's~~

 

Sango had just driven up Kagome's driveway with her car, she spotted Miroku's car and sighed in relief.

“Thank god” opened Kagome's door and ran upstairs to her room seeing Miroku sitting on the bed and sighed in relief once again. She was so relieved to see her “lover” that she failed to notice that Kagome and Inuyasha were, in fact, not there. Sango rushed over to Miroku and threw her arms around him for a quick hug, that ended up lasting a bit longer than excepted.

 

“Sango… Sango dear…” came the muffled voice of Miroku for his face tangled into her hair.

 

“hmmm…” she replied.

 

“I…can't…breathe…you're squeezing me.”

 

“Oh!” Sango jumped back. She finally looked around the room and intoiced that Kagome and Inuyasha weren't present.

 

“Where are the others?” she asked Miroku, whose only answer was a shrug of his shoulders.

 

Sango tensed, “do you think they are ok, you don't think they got hurt do you, oh god…what if they…” Miroku's lips crashing into hers stopped her tirade.

 

“I'm sure they're fine, love, we will just wait here until they arrive and then we will be able to completely analysis the situation at hand.” He said as he leaned back against Kagome's headboard taking Sango with him. Sango nodded and cuddle up against his chest, waiting for the other's return.

 

 

~*~ elsewhere~*~

 

“YOU FOOL” a smack was heard, someone was thrown to the wall and a grunt was heard as he hit the floor.

 

“I'm sorry sir,” the man rasped.

 

“You incompetent imbecile, your job was easy, yet you failed…miserably I might add. You were supposed to kill him yet you didn't even find him and all you did was cause mayhem and unwanted problems. I should string you up for this, you didn't even get the right bother and to further insult yourself you barely hurt that one at all. Juromaru, I thought higher of you yet you proved that you still need your brother's guidance. I am most disappointed. Now leave my sight before I kill you,” the angered voice from the shadows came.

 

“Yes sir, I'm sorry, sir it won't happen again, sir.” The man stammered out through the facemask that he was wearing.

 

“See that it doesn't, leave…Now”

 

Juromaru bolted out of the room slamming the door behind him.

 

“What happened, you promised me, you promised me that he would be dead by midnight,” came an irritated feminine voice from behind the chair; it's back facing the other man.

 

“I'm sorry, my dear, it won't happen again, we will get him next time I promise you that”

 

“See that it does” the chair spun around to reveal…

 

 

~*~ back to Inuyasha and Kagome~*~

 

“Let's go I really just want to get home” Kagome said.

 

“Keh, you wanna get there?”

 

“No of course not I just said that because I like to her myself talk, baka” she remarked sarcastically.

 

“Stupid wench,” he crouched down, “get on my back we can get to your house faster this way”

 

Kagome sighed and climbed onto his back. As soon as she was secure, he run through the streets of Tokyo, leaping onto buildings, racing back to her house. Finally they landed at her front door.

 

“Whoa… what a rush” Kagome said as she climbed off Inuyasha's back and tried to regain her foot.

 

“Careful” Inuyasha caught her when she tripped over her own feet, “clumsy”

 

Kagome smiled up at him, “uh, thanks” she said as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

 

“Well, it looks like Sango and Miroku made it back safely,” she stated as she looked at her's and Miroku's cars sitting in her driveway, “let's go find out what happened tonight.” Kagome started to walk to her front door, Inuyasha followed her into the house.
