“Kagome you just kicked Inuyasha's ass back there!” Sango squealed.

“Huh? Oh, that. It was nothing really, compared to other times anyways. What's the big deal?”

“The big deal?! It's Inuyasha! He's rich and he's never lost a fight before! Especially to a human girl! Now that you've beaten Inuyasha, you've just made some enemies.”

“Well … do you like me?”

“Well, yes, I do.”

“Well good then I have one friend at least, and maybe that perverted friend of yours too, if he likes me, on friendship terms of course.”

Sango smiled and they left to go to their next class. Or in other words lunch!

Kagome and Sango went to their lockers and walked outside and sat under a tree. They began talking and eating for a while until they heard Miroku yell, “Sango, Kagome!!” He walked over to them and asked,” Would you mind if I joined you ladies for lunch this fine day?”

“No, of course, sit down Miroku.” Kagome said. They continued to eat until Kagome noticed Inuyasha walking with his lunch and sitting down alone at a bench.

(Kag pov.)

`He looks so lonely sitting by himself. Wait! Why do I even care!? I can't like guys! Well, whatever. I don't have to likehim to be friends with him and invite him to sit with us. Besides I don't even have to be friends with him … but I want to …'

(Inu pov.)

`I'm so bored. Mental sigh No one to talk to. Even that stupid wench I sparred against today has friends to talk to. Though I can't blame them. Who'd want to talk to a stupid hanyou like me anyways?!'

(Normal pov.)

Inuyasha looked up when he heard footsteps approaching. When he looked up he was surprised when he saw the girl … let's see what was it, ah Kagome, walking towards him. `Huh?'

Kagome noticed the confused look in his eyes and sat down.

“Hey Taisho.”

“Uh, hi. What do you want?!” He snapped. Kagome ignored his tone and continued,

“I just wanted to know if you wanted to sit with us today at lunch? You know Sango, Miroku, and I. So … you wanna come?” She asked.

“Fine, whatever.” Inuyasha said.

Kagome smiled and stood up. She waited for him to get his lunch and stand up, and then led him over to where she was sitting.

“Hey guys I hope you don't mind but I invited Taisho to sit with us today.”

“It's okay, come, sit down.”

“Thanks Sango.”

Kagome sat to Sango's right, Miroku sat next to Sango, and Inuyasha sat down next to Kagome.

(A/N: It took me the longest time to decide whether I wanted him to sit next to Kagome or Miroku, but I finally decided Kagome. One reason I like her better … lol … and the other cuz I want Inuyasha to be closer to her than two people away … anyways BACK TO THE STORY!!)

“So, Inuyasha, why were you sitting by yourself on such a nice day?”

“Feh, because no one would want to sit with a stupid lowly hanyou like me, isn't it obvious. I don't even know why you're inviting me. I'll just be bringing down your reputation and giving you enemies in this stupid hell hole of a school.”

At that point once he was done she was looking into his eyes with a huge grin on her face trying not to laugh, but finally she couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing.”
