One Has Guns, Two are Demons, all are from the Future

Somewhere in the jungles of the Amazon a woman comes racing into a clearing. Six men armed with AK-47's closely follow her. They start shooting, but they miss, and the woman gets behind a tree. She knows that the tree will not protect her much, so she quickly draws her semi-automatic pistols from their holsters that were strapped to her sides. She peeked out from behind her tree. The men were a few feet away, and coming closer.

"I think she went over this way." One of the men said pointing in the direction of her tree. The others nodded and followed him. It was then that the woman jumped out from behind the tree. She started to fire her pistols. Two of the men went down with holes in their chests. Two more soon joined them. Then the woman again took shelter behind the tree.

"Are you ready to give up?" The woman yelled out from behind the tree. She was answered by heavy fire on her tree. "I'll take that as a no." She whispered to herself. Again she jumped out from behind the tree and fired at the last two men. They turned towards her and started shooting. After many shots are fired, the last two men fall down dead.

"That's what you get for trying to kill Lara Croft." The woman said. She searches the men and comes up with a bit of money, some ammo, and the six AK-47's. "More machineguns for my collection." She sighed, and walked back into the forest, hoping to find a village nearby.

Japan: Feudal era

"Bye guys," Kagome whispered to Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. Kagome was going back to her time because she had a big science test coming up, and really didn't want to hear Inu Yasha's whining. She waved goodbye and started off toward the well. Little did she know Inu Yasha was already waiting there, hiding in some bushes on the edge of the small clearing. When Kagome got to the clearing she `felt' around for Inu Yasha. And there he was, hiding in some bushes about five feet away from her.

Frustration started to boil up in her. How am I going to get past him? She wondered. Then she remembered a certain word that could control him. I'll use the `S' word if he tries to stop me. A devilish grin crept on to her face. With that thought and the grin she started running towards the well. Inu Yasha leapt out of the bushes, and got in her way.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked her with a smirk on his face. Then Inu Yasha saw that devil grin on her face. A look of terror appeared in his eyes. He scrambled to get Kagome's mouth closed, but it was to late.

"SIT BOY!" Kagome screamed at him. The priest pearls glowed, and Inu Yasha's face slammed into the ground. Kagome walked over to him and bent down. "Goodbye Inu Yasha. I will be gone for a few days." She said. Inu Yasha started to get back up. She stood up and added, "If you follow me, there will be plenty more SIT *slam* `s where that came from." With those words Kagome went down the well.

England: Present time

"Good morning, Lara." Bryce said the morning after the shootout in the forest. "Back so early from your trip?" Lara didn't answer; she just walked up into her mansion. Bryce, who was curious about what she found, followed her. He followed her up to the attic, where she started looking around. Bryce watched her as she went to a corner in the room, and pulled out a small trunk. It appeared to be one of Lord Croft's old chests. She dumped its contents on the floor and looked at the bottom of the box. "What are you looking for Lara?" Bryce asked, nearly bursting with curiosity.

"I'm looking for a secret compartment in this chest." Lara said plainly. "Aha!" She cried triumphantly. Something inside the chest clicked. Lara stuck her hand deeper in the chest, and pulled out a note. On the front of the note there were the words: To Lara.

Lara sat down on a nearby rocking chair. She recognized the handwriting. It was her father's. Bryce remained Quiet. Lara opened the small envelope and pulled out a letter. Written on it was a letter in from her father.

Dear Lara,

I thought you would find this letter; you're probably getting tired of me leaving hidden messages all over the house, but please read this letter.On my trip to the Amazon, I found `The Mirror of Time'. `The Mirror of Time" would show the person standing in front of it the future. When I stood in front of the mirror I saw many things. I saw you, as a woman, racing threw the Amazon rainforest pursued by six men with guns. T hen the image blurred and I saw you walking away from the six dead men with barely a scratch on you. BRAVO, DAUGHTER, BRAVO! That vision then blurred and when it cleared I saw a young Japanese schoolgirl say good-bye to her mother, grandfather, and little brother, go to a well house and disappear down the well in a purplish light. The vision followed her threw the light, up threw the well, and up into an entirely different landscape. There was no well house, just a clearing in a forest.

The girl then climbed out of the well all the way and stood still, as though waiting for something. Then, out of the woods came a young man with white hair, golden eyes, claws, fangs, and dog-ears. When I saw the dog-ears, I knew what I was seeing, and hardly believed my eyes. Do you remember the story I told you when you were a child called ` The Legend of Inu Yasha and the Shikon Jewel? Do you remember what Inu Yasha looked like? And what the girl Higurashi Kagome looked like? I was in the story! The story is real! The vision again vanished and was replaced by a gruesome picture. The main characters of the book were all dead. Over there bodies was a demon with huge guns and other futuristic weapons, holding the Shikon Jewel shards that they possessed. Lara, I think a demon from the future is going to find some way into the past of Japan and kill the characters from the story to obtain the Shikon no Tama. If he does, the world as we know it would change. Earth would be ruled by demons and there would most likely be no humans alive. I need you to go back in time with Kagome and save her and her friends from this disaster. If you don't…………. lets not think about that for now. Just go back and help them. You're a good girl, and I'm proud to have you as a daughter.

"Wow." Bryce said after a few minutes of silence. He'd been reading over her shoulder. " Isn't the `Mirror of time what you were looking for this trip? Do you have it with you?"

"No, I don't." Lara said. "While I was looking in the mirror and seeing myself finding this letter, a man had snuck up behind me with a knife. But instead of the silent attack he had been probably been hoping for, he stepped on a piece of broken pottery which made a very loud noise in the quite temple, causing me to turn and see him with the knife. He immediately threw the knife at me, and I blocked it with the mirror. The mirror had stopped it, but when the blade hit the mirror glass, it broke."

"Oh. To bad." Bryce said. They were silent for a few more minutes. Then Lara got up and went down the stairs. Again Bryce followed her. She went down into the library and searched the shelves. Her hand stopped at a big black book with a pinkish/purplish marble-like thing stamped into the binding. She took the book down and opened the cover. On the first page was the title: The Legend Inu Yasha and the Shikon Jewel. Lara closed the book.

"Well, if I'm going to go to Japan, I better go pack," she said, left the room, and went up the stairs to her bedroom. A half an hour later, she came down with a suitcase and walked into her armory. Fifteen minutes later she came out of the armory with another bag. She went to the door to her garage.

"Goodbye," she said, and walked into the garage. Bryce followed her.

"Your just going to leave? How are you going to get there?" he asked. Lara looked back at him.

"I'll get there." Then she left and went to her favorite motorcycle. Lara strapped on the pack from the armory onto the motorcycle, and the one she got from upstairs she put on her back. After kicking the ignition, she was out of there.

At an airport in London, England

Lara Croft turned of her motorcycle and let a couple of men take it and put it in the cargo section of her private jet. She walked up the steps to the jet and sat down on one of the comfy benches. Fifteen minutes later, they were in the air. Lara sat back and relaxed with her headphones listening to her party mix, ready for the long journey ahead.

In Japan: Modern time

"It is almost time, master," said a small, weak voice from the shadows. Glowing red eyes shined out in the darkness.

"Very well, Konchu. We will be leaving soon," a dark voice said. A grin appeared under the red eyes. "Soon the Shikon Jewel will be in my grasp." Dark laughter followed those cold words.
