N/A: If you guys think this is another High School Fic., You are SOOO wrong... This is a COLLEGE fic. so get it right.

This is my 1st Fanfic so please be gentle, it was inspired by anddedicated to inudemoness247 and her story 'Things Never Change', I would like to warn you though this is a Prologue, It is just an event that already happened

THE ACTUAL story begins 2-3 years later, so dont expect it to go off from there, Here are the pairings:

Kagome/Youko (NO MATTER HOW THIS STORY STARTS IF I HAVE AN SAY IN IT (which I do) I WILL BE KAG/YOUKO)

Either Sango/Miroku OR Sango/Kuronue (its your choice I think that Kuronue is WAY TOO HOTT to be single)

Inuyasha? ( Yall will have to help me i was thinking of making it inu/kik but its up to ya'll and even though its a Kag/You I wouldnt dream of making Inuyasha seem like the bad guy he is really sweet when given the chance and Im not gonna make him seem bad so Kagome can be with Youko)

P.S: If you guys want me to change anything about the pairings let me know, ok you guys can talk me out of any pairings if enough people want it BUT, there is NO CHANCE WHATSOREVER that anyone will change my mind about Kagome and Youko, I respect yalls decisions but they are the 1 thing in this fic that is final

Here is the characters info 2 yrs after this prologue:

Kagome Higurashi: 19 yrs old

Youko Kurama: 20 yrs old

Sango Tajiya: 19 yrs old

Kuronue Okinawa ( Full credit to 'Bloodcherry' for her suggestion ): 20

Inuyasha Tashio: 20

Miroku Hoshi ( I honestly am debating whether or not to put him in the fic): 20

Kikyo Onigumo (again NO CLUE): 19

P.S: There is NO WAY IN HELL that I'm taking away Inu's/Youko's silver hair/golden eyes but I do have to take away the ears (sorry earlovers)

Prologue: New Hope

Kagome was mentaly replaying all of the past events in her life that lead up to her being here, on a one way ticket to New York City.

Most people go to New York for the adventure and the expirience, Kagome Higurashi was not one of thoses people.

There was one reason and one reason only why she was on this flight and it could only be summed up in one word: Hope; the hope for a new life, the hope of her music; which she claimed was the only reason for her sanity, but most of all the hope that time could possibly heal her now shattered heart, the hope that one day she could forget the man she had grown to cherish more than her life, the man whom she had given her heart to only to have it given back in countless pieces

Kagome sighed and looked at the sleeping silver-haired boy next to her. Inuyasha; her best friend, the only person in the WORLD that could ever help her get through this. She counted her blessings every day that god gave her a friend like him.

She sighed again 'oh, Inuyasha what would I ever do without you by my side'

She knew it wasnt going to be easy, especially having Inuyasha's silver hair and golden eyes as a constant reminder of the man she left behind. But deep down she knew that it wasnt the same that they would never be the same, that despite how much she loved inuyasha like a brother his eyes would never be the same.

For they lacked the lust and passion that the man she loved with all her heart and soul had when he looked at her. Making her feel wanted, needed,...complete.

Feeling sleep deprevation fianlly hit her after 36 hours of nonstop crying, Kagome let her perfect raven hair out of its messy bun allowing it to fall carelessly, then she gently rested her head on Inuyasha's shoulder, careful not to wake the sleeping boy.

When a strand of Inuyasha's silver hair fell upon her face, she sighed for the thousandth time that day. "Youko" she said in a wimper. At the thought of the love of her life, the man she was leaving behind in Tokyo, she let a single tear fall upon her perfect complection.

And with him as her last train of thought, she left sleep overcome her.

N/A: extremely short, yes I know but what do yall expect it's just a prologue I assure you the ACTUAL story will be longer until then please review and again I'm willing to take suggestions adout the pairings so far Ive got everything planed out for the next few chapter in here points to nogin now I've just got to put it on here points to paper and I do want to let you know I plan on adding a lemon/lime later on but, there will be a warning so if you dont want to read it you will be able to skip it
