OMG! I am so sorry! Between school, church, play practice, sickness, going out of town, weddings, and other obstacles of life, I just know got time to update! I will say that hopefully by November my life will slow down a little bit and updates won't take so long. Anyway, on with the story!

Souten walked in school grumbling under her breath. She had the worst weekend in the history of all weekends. Between her mother and her father, she didn't know who made her mad the most. First, it started with that dumb, ignorant, and bastard of a father of hers.

Flashback

“Souten, I need to stop by the office and then we can go have some fun okay?” Hiten asked.

“Yeah, yeah just hurry it up. I don't like being cooped up in cars,” She replied. They've been running errands all day. Now it was 7:30 and she was ready to go home.

Hiten looked at his daughter from the corner of his eye. He didn't know why this kid didn't like him. It wasn't his fault he had more important things to do than to come spend time with her. She only wanted to play childish games when he did visit. They soon pulled up to his office. Hiten pulled into his personal parking space and turned to Souten.

“I'll be right back. Just don't get out of the car okay. I'll leave the air on okay,” He stated as he go out and closed the door.

Souten snorted. `Yeah, don't want me dying of suffocation do you? How will you explain that to mom,' she thought.

She turned the radio to her favorite station and after about ten songs and two five-minute commercial breaks, she began to get upset. `It's almost been a freaking hour! What the hell could he be doing?' Finally she got fed up, took the keys out of the ignition, locked the doors and walked into the building.

She walked inside and went towards the secretary desk. The woman looked like she was in high school. Souten knew it would be easy to slip pass her and put on her sweet little girl face.

“Excuse me, miss? I was wondering could you tell me what floor my daddy's office is on. I would really like to see him,” Souten asked with a pouting face.

“Aww! Aren't you the cutest little thing!” the woman exclaimed. “However, I can't do that, honey. You have to have an adult.”

Souten put on a sad expression. “But it's really important. Please Miss Pretty Lady! I would really like to see him,” she replied with fake tears in her eyes. She watched as the woman's face lost her resolve. `Got her. That was just too easy.'

“Okay little girl. What's your daddy's name?”

“Hiten. Hiten Yamoto.”

“Oh! Well he is own the eleventh floor. The elevator is down the hall to your right.”

“Okay! Thank you, miss!” Souten exclaimed. She kept up her happy façade until she was inside the elevator. When the doors closed and she put a deep scowl on her face. `Now to look for this idiotic bastard.'

The elevator dinged and she stepped off to the eleventh floor. She saw a sign that stated `Hiten Yamoto' with an arrow pointed left. She followed the arrow and soon came to a door with her beloved father's name on it. She heard voices inside and quietly turned the knob and pushed it open.

Inside she saw her father with some wench seated in his lap with her back facing her. As far as she could see, her father had no shirt on and apparently no pants, since they were right beside her on the floor. The woman also had no shirt on but still had her pants on.

Souten cleared her throat and stated, “Father Dearest, I thought you should know that you left your only child in the car and she is about to drive home since she has the keys.”

The woman jumped out of the chair and turned around, having the nerve to blush. Hiten stood up and began to talk sheepishly.

“Souten! I thought I told you to stay in the car. Me and Miss…”

“Jennifer,” the woman interjected while pulling on her shirt.

“Yes, uh we were just playing a game. I tell you what, go sit in the lobby and we'll be right out.”

“Whatever,” Souten replied as she walked and closed the door. She sat down in the lobby and sighed. She wasn't stupid. She knew, from her mother and aunt's conversations and t.v. programs, exactly what they were doing. Not to mention that horrible smell.

Soon her father and his mistress walked out the room. The woman gave Souten a brief smile and quickly walked out.

“Hey there kiddo. How about we go get some ice cream,” Hiten asked.

“I'm lactose intolerant, you ass!” Souten hissed through her clenched teeth. He was really beginning to piss her off.

“Oh. Well, what do want to go do?”

“I want to go home!” she yelled. “So, take me home. NOW!”

Hiten stepped back as Souten's miko aura began to flare and her eyes began to turn into a lighter shade. `Damn Kagome and her miko powers passing to Souten.' “Okay. If you wanna go home, I'll take you home.”

Souten didn't say anything as she walked towards the elevator. Hiten followed behind her and also didn't respond. When they reached the car, she handed him the keys and quietly got in and buckled up. They rode in silence until they reached the house. As Souten reached for the door handle, Hiten said something that made all of her resolve shatter.

“Hey kiddo. How about you don't tell your mom what happened between me and Miss Jennifer. If she finds that out then daddy might lose his chance with getting back with mommy. So what do you say?”

Souten looked at her father with disbelief on her face. She then yelled with all her might, her miko aura flaring wildly with each syllable. “You fucking egotistical idiot! Do you actually think that I would let you even ATTEMPT getting back with her! You're dumber than I thought. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM MY MOM YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!” And with that Souten got out and slammed the door, leaving a slightly purified demon in the car.

End Flashback

`Idiot' she angrily thought. Then she thought about her mother and became even angrier.

Flashback

Souten walked downstairs feeling better after a long nights sleep. When she walked in the dining room, she saw that her mom had made her favorite. She made chocolate-chip pancakes, sunny-side up eggs, sausage, and a side of oden.

“Well good morning sweetie. I figured you had a rough day yesterday so I made your favorite,” Kagome greeted her.

“Yeah I did. Thanks mom.”

Souten sat at the table and began to eat. She noticed some nervousness in her mother's aura, but she didn't pay any attention to it. That is until she spoke.

“Um, Souten mommy has some to tell you.” Souten gave her a look that meant for her to continue. “Well, I met this really nice man and we are going out on a date. Now Auntie Sango can't babysit because she has work so you will be staying over at his house with his little girl and their nanny.

“Okay mom. So who is it?” Souten got worried as the anxiety in her aura flared.

“Well, it's Mr. Takahashi. Inuyasha Takahashi.”

Souten gave her a look and then began to laugh hysterically. When she calmed down she stated,”That's funny. For a minute I thought you said you were going out with Takahashi and I will be staying over at his house with Shiori while you guys were gone.”

“I did say that Souten.”

Souten looked at her mother with wide eyes. Then all hell broke loose.”NO WAY! YOU ARE NOT GOING OUT WITH DOG-BOY AND LEAVING ME WITH HIS BAT BRAT FROM HELL. NO, I REFUSE!”

“THAT IS ENOUGH SOUTEN AYUMI! WHERE DO YOU GET OFF TELLING ME WHO I CAN AND CAN'T DATE. I'M GOING AND YOU ARE STAYING WITH HIS NANNY! DO YOU UNDERSTAND YOUNG LADY?!” Kagome shouted back.

Souten looked at her mom and knew she had truly and royally just pissed her off. She had two options: 1. still refuse and get her butt kicked into next year or 2. Just agree and save herself from a truckload of trouble. In the end, she picked the second one.

“Good. Now go upstairs and get ready for school.”

“Yes mother.”

End Flashback

“Ugh! I swear they are out to make my life miserable,” she mumbled. Souten went to her homeroom and saw none other than her archenemy, Shiori.

“Well hello, Souten. How are you this fine day,” Shiori asked.

“Cut the shit Takahashi. What do you want?”

Shiori dropped her nice façade and began to frown. “Look Yamoto, I know you know that out parents are going out tonight-“

“Unfortunately.”

“Shut it. Like I was saying, our parents are going out. Now, I don't know nor do I even care what you think about this but, I happen to like it. Your mom is something good for my dad and I will not let you ruin this.”

Souten quirked an eyebrow. “And what are you trying to say?”

“If you even try to break this up, I will beat your ass so bad you'll forget your middle name. Get it? Got it? Good.” And with that Shiori walked to her desk.

Soon the teacher came in and Souten began taking notes, but not without one thing haunting her thoughts. `She wants them to date?'

“Kagome, for God's sake. Will you hurry up! The limo will be here any minute!”

“Okay Sango!” Kagome yelled back.

Kagome sighed and looked in the mirror. She was already dressed but she was a nervous wreck. She hadn't been on a date since her and Hiten split up. She was terrified on what she should wear that she called Sango to pick something out for her.

All-in-all, Sango did a really good job. She had on a red long sleeved shirt that was off the shoulder, white sailor wide pants, and red Starla pumps that Hiten got her for her birthday. To top her outfit off, she done her hair in spiral curls.

“Kagome Higurashi! Get your ass down these steps so I can see how you look!” Sango screamed.

Kagome sighed, took one more look in the mirror in, and went down the steps. When she came down, she saw that somewhere between her getting dressed her mother arrived. When she walked into the living room, her mother squealed and launched herself towards Kagome.

“Oh `Gome you look amazing! You're going to knock him out of his socks,” Mrs. Higurashi yelled.

Kagome blushed, “Thanks Mom.”

Just then they heard a knock at the door. “I'll get it!” Sango shouted. She went to answer the door and saw a short man in a black suit with his heads hung low in respect.

“Good evening miss. Is a Miss Higurashi here?” the little man asked.

“Yes she is. Hold on just a minute.” Sango motion Kagome towards the door and moved to the side.

“Good evening. Your Miss Higurashi I presume?”

“Yes I am,” Kagome replied.

“”Well, are you ready?”

“Yes just one moment. Souten! Come on, lets go!”

Souten came grudgingly down the steps. She gave her mom a pleading look as if asking her `Do I have to go'. Kagome gave her look that said `You sure do'. Souten sighed and went to towards her mother.

Kagome gave her family a bright smile. “Wish me luck!” she yelled as she and Souten walk towards the limo.

“Bye Kagome!” they yelled as they got into the car and drove off.

“How do I Iook? Should I change?” Inuyasha asked his daughter.

“Ugh! For the umpteenth time dad, you look FINE!” Shiori yelled. She had been setting on her dad's bed watching him change clothes millions of times. `God he's worse than a woman!' she thought.

Inuyasha sighed and sat next to his daughter. “I'm sorry Shiori. I guess I'm just a little nervous.”

Shiori smiled and began to fix the collar of his shirt. “I know dad. Don't be nervous. I know she really likes you and she is probably just as nervous as you are. Just go out and have a good time.”

Inuyasha chuckled. “Sometimes I think you're an old woman with the wisdom you have.”

“Inuyasha, your date is here!” Kaede yelled.

“Okay!” Inuyasha sighed. “Well, here we go. Wish me luck.”

“Good luck dad.”

They both walked downstairs and into the foyer. Inuyasha almost had a heart attack when he saw Kagome. She was stunning. She had on his favorite color and her clothes fit her curves in all the right places. `She's beautiful' he thought.

Little that he know that Kagome was thinking on the same line. He had on a red button-down shirt with the first two buttons undone. His jeans were baggy and he and on some red and white Jordans. `He's gorgeous!' She thought.

“Hello,” he greeted her.

“Hi. You've already met Souten.”

“Yes but under bad circumstances. Hello Souten.”

“Hi,” she replied in a gruff manner. Shiori gave her a look that promised a fight for that one no one was around.

“Well, I guess we should get going.”

“Yeah we should. Souten, be good while mommy is gone okay. And don't give Kaede a hard time.”

“Oh, I'm sure she won't be any trouble at all,” Kaede replied.

“You too Shiori. Be good,” Inuyasha said.

“Okay daddy,” Shiori replied.

They both gave their parents a hug and soon Inuyasha and Kagome were in the limo pulling off.

“Okay how about we get things started!” Kaede yelled.

`This is going to be a long night,' Souten thought.

“So, where are we going?” Kagome asked Inuyasha.

“That's a secret, my lovely lady,” Inuyasha replied.

Kagome blushed at the compliment and gave Inuyasha a smile. Inuyasha smiled back and put his arm around Kagome's shoulder.

`Something tells me this is going to be a wonderful night,' Kagome thought.

Kikyo looked at the man laying beside her in disgust. She because she let him fuck didn't mean he could stay.

She sighed and got out of bed and headed towards the shower. She turned on the water as hot as it could go and began to think. It had been two and half years since her divorce. Since then, she had gotten a job at a high price escort service. Sure it was beneath her, but she enjoyed taking the men's money.

She then began to think about her daughter, Shiori. She wondered how she was doing. She loved her but she wasn't ready to be a mother. She was still young and had a life. However, that was her connection to Inuyasha and his money. `Inuyasha,' she thought. He left her and divorced her. She couldn't believe it at first but she soon came to accept it. Still, she was his ex-wife and she needed money from him.

`I think I will pay him a visit.'

Dun dun dun! I wonder what Kikyo is up to? Guess we'll have to find out. Again, I greatly apologize for the wait and I hope the next chapter will be out this week! Also, I have nothing against Kikyo but there will be a little bashing in this story. Okay that's all!
