[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Okay so, standard disclaimers apply. This is my one and only warning, yes there will be lemons in this fic, it's
rated "X" for a reason. The lemons aren't the worst things on this site, and I have tried to keep the story tasteful.
If you don't like the story, don't read it. I delete flames.
I don't want to come off as a jerk in the least, but really, if there is something you don't like about the story
spend your time elsewhere.
Yes this really is a Kagome and Inuyasha fic, although it might be hard to beleive the first few chapters in, but I
swear to you that it is.
I had origionally posted this story on adultfanfiction and it was received fairly well, so I decided to try my luck
here. OKAY so the first three chapters will be up and if you all like it I will gladly post the rest of what I have,
and from there update as I normally would on the other site.
Hope you like :)

Chapter 1
Summer’s End
It was finished. After four years of traveling, fighting, tragedies and death, the end had come. Naraku had finally been destroyed and the jewel was complete and safely in the possession of Kagome. This day, the one that the group had been working ceaselessly towards, was the day that Kagome dreaded most of all. She had secretly wished that this day would never come, despite the pain and suffering endured over these past years. This was the day that Kikyo would drag Inuyasha with her to hell.
The emotions that were flooding Kagome were so intense and consuming it was difficult to breath. She was overwhelmed by pain, anger, confusion and a desperate helplessness that she hated completely. She had known this day would come, she thought that she was in fact somewhat prepared. But now she found all of her resolve shattered, she wanted to kick and scream and hit until Inuyasha relented and stayed. She knew it would never happen as the hanyou stood before her, his golden eyes hooded and glistening with tears. When he had approached her she had caught her breath and let the tears she had been fighting since the battle was won fall freely down her cheeks. This must be a nightmare. This couldn’t be real, after all they had been through together, this was wrong. Damn his sense of honor and duty! She cursed him. He’d been through so much more with Kagome; she had just as much right to him, if not more than Kikyo. Idiot. She mentally berated him, didn’t he realize that he had avenged Kikyo with Naraku’s death. That was enough. There was no need for him to go with Kikyo to hell. It didn’t need to be this way, why didn’t he see that? How could he not realize that they had only made it this far because they were together? How was she supposed to survive without him?
Kagome’s internal raging was interrupted by the trembling hand of Inuyasha at her cheek. She worked up the courage to look into his eyes and was met by the apologies that reflected in them. That was not what Kagome wanted. She didn’t need his stupid, useless apologies, she needed him to stay! She let out a pitiful whimper and suddenly felt herself crushed in Inuyasha’s tightest embrace. Kagome clutched weakly at his haroai, wishing desperately for the strength to hold him there with her forever. She was flooded with memories of all the times he had ever held her, and she felt as if she could no longer stand on her own. Feeling him squeeze her even closer she prayed that she might melt into him so that they could never be separated. They stood there for what seemed like an eternity and a mere instant. She felt his embrace loosen slightly and her heart cried out in anguish.
“Look at me.”
Kagome lifted her head reluctantly at his quiet command. This can’t be happening.
He gazed down at her with a sad smile, tenderly brushing away the tears that streaked Kagome’s cheeks. “I always end up hurting you, Kagome, I am so sorry. But this is the last time, I swear it.”
Kagome’s body rocked violently with the sob that she let out. It was the most heartbreaking sound she had ever made and she felt Inuyasha squeeze her even tighter while he tried to keep his faltering composure in check. He was trying so hard to be strong for the both of them.
Kagome tried to speak, she tried to tell him everything that was going on inside of her, but she could barely open her lips before he silenced her with a kiss. The kiss held so much love and need, so much passion, and so very much sorrow. Kagome closed her eyes so she could only feel Inuyasha in that moment. When he kissed her, he took away all of the pain that she felt. She almost forgot, with that kiss, all that was happening. She felt him squeeze her once more and she could have sworn she heard a puppy like whimper from him as let go of her.
Kagome opened her eyes at the loss of contact and watched in horror as Inuyasha made his way to the waiting Kikyo. NO! She was screaming inside, and yet she could not even form the words to call out to Inuyasha. She watched mutely as Kikyo wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest. Inuyasha looked to Kagome once more as he held Kikyo loosely in his arms. He looked at her bravely, determination written on his face, but his eyes still held that same sad apology. Even as the wind began to howl and the gateway to hell opened beneath them, Inuyasha kept his gaze trained on Kagome. He stared at her as if he wanted to keep the memory of her face with him for the rest of his eternity as he and Kikyo began to sink into the earth. As the tears in his eyes finally began to fall, he shut them and clutched to Kikyo as they both sunk further, until the gateway had swallowed them completely and closed.
In that instant Kagome crumpled to the ground, letting out a strangled gasp. Her body began to shake and heave as she cried as she had never cried before. She wanted to die. Kagome had never felt so full of pain. Every inch of her body ached as she cried into the ground. Kagome cried until the tears would no longer come, and then all she felt was empty. A hollow ache echoed through her and all she wanted to do was curl up and die. She no longer had the strength to even move. So she waited silently, until a black and empty sleep took her. At least sleep would offer her some peace.
