Chapter 3:Who Needs Help?

Inu Yasha was sitting next to a river bank, his arms folded over his chest as he stared blankly into the water. His eyes solemn as he tried to ignore the rain. His legs crossed as his little white ears twitched slightly. Slowly he unfolded his arms, he rested a hand on the ground and pulled himself up slowly. Turning slightly he gazed out toward where Kiriu was. Walking slowly, the now melting snow shuffled from underneath his feet. He paced among it and slowly pulled open the door to the great palace, his claws grieving around it as he entered, his other hand dangled at his side as he looked around, sniffing the air for her. Looking slowly to her, his long silver hair flowing behind his back as he began walking toward her, both hands strained at his sides while he walked. Kiriu's ears twitched slowly as she heard Inu Yasha coming and caught his scent. She smiled as she sat in a small room of the palace with nothing but a bed and a window in it. He smirked slightly as he stopped before her, his footsteps had stopped making the entire room silent. His arms folded up over his chest as he looked at her. She looked around trying to hear where he was. He sat down next to her with a thud. "feh. Just because im here right now don't mean a thing kid, as soon as the rain stops im outta here" he said, examining around a bit. "My name is Kiriu and im not a kid." He looked to her as his eyes narrowed slightly "I don't care what your name or what you are." "Your really rude. You should be happy that my brother isn't here." He sat up again, a hand pressed against the ground as he did so. "I don't care." He snapped at her, his feet firm onto the ground again, he watched out the window silently. Kiriu's ears went back slowly as she stayed silent she sensed something coming. Kugra entered with a certain snicker. "Well dog breath, I'd start caring" he glanced to Kiriu. "Why did you invite that baka into our home?" He growled silently with his long silver hair banging over peircive red garnet eyes. "So get out dog boy." Kiriu looked toward Kugra. "Let him stay, big brother it is storming to bad for anyone to be outside," Inu Yasha turned looking to Kugra. "Well excuse me!" He growled slightly, no one disrespected him. His claws beginning to glow as he was ready to kill Kugra. Kugra looked to Kiriu. "Fine whaterver." He turned, slamming the door again as he walked out viciously. Kiriu lowered her head as her ears went back half way in sadness and half way in fear. Inu Yasha stopped then glanced to Kiriu. "Why do you care?!" he asked now, biting his lip as blood dropped from his lip now, whipeing it quickly he still snapped at her. Kiriu stayed silent. He groaned slightly. "Well I don't have time for this weather! I need to collect those jewel shards immediately." He barged out like that leaveing the door wide open. Kiriu sighted and said in a quiet voice "I only wanted to help." He stopped his ears twitched slightly, blinking with solemn as he looked down. "Help…" He kept walking. "WHO NEEDS HELP!?!" he growled. Kiriu just sat there lissening to the rain in the now silent palace. Kugra entered again, with a snicker of Inu Yasha being gone. "What a baka" Kiriu sighed. "Big brother, when will I be able to leave the forest?" He looked to her. "Hmph. You are protected here, you aren't going anywhere Kiriu." He turned leaveing into antoher room. She sighed and looked toward the window. He walked back in looking to her. "And Kiriu don't even think about leaveing with dog-breath." He said then turned leaveing again. "Yes big brother" she lowered her head.
