Chapter 4:The agreement

The rain had stopped and the forest was peaceful again as Kiriu sat under a tree playing her guitar. Inside her guitar was a small jewel shard. Inu Yasha stayed hidden behind the tree she sat under. He was watching her sternly, his back to the tree with his eyes watching her. His arms were crossed as his ears twitched, he listened to her silently, a frown had fallen upon his lips. He watched as she continues to play as the snow slowly fell from the sky. He glanced up to the snow silently as he nearly sneezed from the snow that landed on his nose. His eyes widening as he grabbed to his nose trying to hold it in. He did so but his ears perked up immediately as he twitched. Kiriu stopped playing as she finished the song her ears twitching a little. He glanced to her, accidently making a sound underneither his voice. "God! Inu Yasha! SHUT UP!" he thought within a glare. "I know you've been listening" Kiriu said in a gentle yet sweet voice. He stood quiet blinking. "Is she talking to me?" He thought as he pointed to himself slightly then walked out from behind the tree, his arms crossed over his chest. "Oh really!" then why didn't you say so earlier?" "I thought you would want to hear the rest of the song before I said anything." His ears lowered as his eyes narrowed "Damn Inu Yasha….you're an idiot…" He thought as he crossed his arms slightly again. "Feh. Yeah, whatever." She stood up and dusted the snow off her and slowly put her guitar on her back. He looked to her silently. "Uh…where you going?" he muttered in a curious voice, then his ears twitched as he asked that question. "I was going to take a walk through the forest. Do you want to come?" She smiled sweetly as the smile unlocked a few memories for Inu Yasha of a girl he had known long ago. He stood quiet as an eye twitched slightly, thoughts flying through his mind. He seemed out of the world for a few seconds, then he closed his eyes shaking his head slightly, a hand rubbing behind his ear. "Ugh…" He muttered as he looked at the ground, then looked to her. "Yeah….Sure…Whatever ill come…" Kiriu walked through the forest humming a little. He stood there for a few seconds, feet stumbling across the ground, he walked up behind her, his arms dangling at his side with the sleeves flared over his arms, his eyes solemn now as he thought the girl from his memories and how much she looked like Kiriu. Kiriu turned her head toward him slowly. "You're traveling to find the jewel shards right?" He stopped, looking to her as if glaring as he thought. "Me? Yes I am…" he began walking past her. "Indivsually." "Do you mind if I come with you?" He stopped now. Arms crossing. "I don't need anyone around." "Oh" she lowered her head. "I just don't want to be stuck in this forest alone anymore." He looked to her. "Stuck…" He'd hate to be in this damned forest all his life. "Gah fine you can come! But no getting in my way." He said quickly. Kiriu smiled and turned toward Inu Yash's voice. "thank you." He looked to her as he patted her shoulder, completely walking past her now. "Then lets get moving, we don't have all day." "Ok." She quickly followed behind him. Inu Yasha looked back for a second and gave a small smile before continuing on.
