Chapter 12: Betrayed

The Rain finally stopped. Kiriu lisened to the group as Shippo jumped out, onto Miroku's head, his tail curling up now as those hues searched about to them. He sat up to his feet looking to them. "Heeey whats going on???" Inuyasha glanced to her, his golden yellow eyes searching to her. "Lets go... we have no time for these mortals…" He glared to Sango "And that demon hunter" He snarled as he turned about. Kiriu slowly walked over to him as Kagome scurried over to the two. "...No wait Inu Yasha" She grabbed to his wrist. "I wanted to know if you would help us collect the jewel shards," She searched through her pockets, then obtained a half jewel. "Please?" He blinked, then blushed slightly at her touch, then drove his hand away. "Fine! But Kiriu comes to" He put his hand behind her back pushing her in front of him. Kiriu blinked. "Delighted..." He grinned now, watching Kiriu, his hues searched over her form. "Okay.." She glanced to Kiriu and smiled. "Hey again" "Yay! Another person to join! The more the merrier!" He hopped from Miroku's head stepping up behind Kagome. "A demon....? You got to be kidding…" She groaned, it wasn't an idea she liked that much, but she'd deal with it. Kiriu blinked wondering what exactly was going on but she decided she would just go with it. "It's going to rain again Inu Yasha shouldn't we find shelter." He'd agree, just as all the others did. Soon enough they took about into a cave, once it was found, the sound of the rain hurdling down hard against the rocks could be heard as they entered. A little while had passed as Kiriu sensed Kugra her older brother near by. She decided she would wait till everyone was asleep before she went to see Kugra. Everyone fell asleep well everyone but Inu Yasha he was sitting up upon the cave, watching the sky. His arms pulled behind his head as he watched, man what'd he get himself into. His hues opened, watching to the sky with the rain trembling down among his head. Kiriu sliped but cought herself as some water hit Kagome and Sango waking them up. There eyes opened slowly as she looked to Kiriu, then glanced to Kagome which was sitting up now, looking completely tired. "What are you doing......?" Kiriu ran through the rain heading toward Kugra. "GET BACK HERE!" She yelled running out after her, Kagome sat up quickly, grabbing to her bow n' arrow, running out after sango. "Where is she going Sango? Its dangerous!" She yelled out over the rain. Inu Yasha sat up quickly, hearing the three running out as he glanced to Kiriu, then blinked his ears twitching as rain fell upon them. "..Kiriu..?" Kiriu snuck behind Kugra and pounced on him smiling "hi big brother!" she smiled. He grinned looking to her, well-built arms creeping around her. "Kiriu!" He grinned again, hugging her still. He had changed since she had left his heard had become more careing and he had been worried sick about her. Sango stopped looking to Kagome. "Whats going on..?" She whispered over to Kagome, they were hidden behind a tree, her eyes came to a glare "...I recongnize him... he's the one we fought last time!" Kiriu smiled "Big brother I have brought you more jewel shards." She said in her innocent sweet voice. "...Did she steal the shards?" Kagome thought as she glanced around patting for her shard. Kiriu slowly took out three shards Inu Yasha had given her as she handed them to Kugra. Inu Yasha perked up behind Kagome and Sango silently, watching in as his head perked in between them. "Whoa?" She nearly screamed but he covered her mouth as his eyes came to a glare "Inuyasha?" She gasped as her heart jumped, then she turned to look at Kiriu. "Why that little.. she betraide us…"
