Chapter 13: Betrayed part 2

Inu Yasha growled as he jumped out now, his claws starting to glow as he searched onto Kiriu, then to Kugra. "Hand em over!!!" He growled, snapping at Kiriu and Kugra. Kiriu blinked and looks over at Inu Yasha. Sango ran out behind Inu Yasha, taking ahold of her boomerang as her eyes searched over to them "Thief!" She yelled as Kiriu looked over to them. Kagome grabbed to her bow, getting it ready, but kept hidden. Hands coming about to hold them. Kugra glanced to Kiriu, then to them. "Thief?" He laughed now, taking ahold of her and putting her behind him "Its highly doubted." He said as his claws stretched a bit now as he glared to them "Inu Yasha you gave me those shards" Kiriu said in a soft innocent voice as she grabed hold of Kugras arm before he could do anything. She then walked toward Inu Yasha's voice but to Sango and Kagome it looked like she is walking toward the shikon jewel shards that kugra had dropped. Throwing the boomerang directly at Kiriu, the dirt picked up quickly, hitting her in the chest and driving Kiriu back. "You'll never get the jewel shards you pathetic demon!" Sango ran to the jewel shards, picking them up then tossed them to Kagome. "Run, ill take care of them!" She turned looking to Kiriu's brother with a grin. Kiriu fell to the ground in pain as Inu Yasha looked to Kiriu... now... he wasn't even very sure about her anymore… could he trust her? He stepped back once, staying silent as his head lured downward... "......." His ears twitched slightly as he glanced up, noticing Sango and Kiriu's brother fighting. Kiriu staggered to her feet wincing. He looked toward Kiriu, a simple growl fled over firece lips, it seemed his eyes became angered with his expression "You bitch of a slayer" He slammed his claws into her stomach, ripping upward for seconds until Kagome's arrow hit him in the shoulder blasting him back into a tree. Kiriu smelled kugra's blood and ran toward the tree. Inu Yasha looked to Kagome and Sango, then to Miroku and Shippo, it seemed he had the mixed emotions, he liked Kiriu, or at least he came attached to her, but now..., his head came up as he shook his head, taking his emotions away. "Anyone who takes the jewel shards will go through me!" His claws began glowing as he glared directly at Kiriu. Kiriu snarled at Inu Yasha for the first time her fangs showing. "Sango!..." Kagome yelled as she ran to Sango, grabbing ahold of her hurrying out of the battle area "...Stay awake stay awake" She ran to miroku and he took her and began running to kirara, and they ran off "you want the damn shards so badly here" Kiriu yelled as she threw off her necklace that contained the shards. "I thought I could trust you Inu Yasha but your just a monster like your friends!" Kiriu grabbed kugra and ran blindly into the darkness. He watched the jewel shards roll amoung the ground... starring blankly at them then looked up to Kiriu silently... "..I…" His ears twitched as he watched her run… Kugra looked to Kiriu silently… "Kiriu......" He smiled slightly "You're still the girl I once knew" He grinned then closed his eyes for himself to gather energy.

Kiriu stopped when she to find a cave and set Kugra down summoning her energy to heal his wounds. Once she finished healing him she curled up next to him crying a little. Kugra eyes opened slightly as he glanced to her not moving his head too much....As he watched her he felt a familor warmth. He lowered to sit, watching Kiriu fondly.... sitting there with his elbows pressed to his knees as he watched her nearly all night….
