Kagome bit her lip as she looked at the clock for the hundredth time and huffed when only a minute had passed since she last checked it. She was helping Sango serve dinner and feeling giddy about her “date” with Inuyasha tonight. “You know Kagome, the clock won’t move faster just because you check it 30 times.” Sango said with a wink. Kagome rolled her eyes but smiled. “I know!”
“You want me to take him dinner so you can get ready?” Sango asked. Although she didn’t like the idea of Kagome getting involved with the doomed hanyou she would do anything to keep her sister happy. “Do you think he’d be mad?” Sango shrugged, “you know him better than me.”
“He might be a little upset but just tell him I’ll be there soon.” With that said Kagome raced to get a shower leaving Sango shaking her head and dishing out a bowl of soup to take Inuyasha.
As she walked down the stairs she could already hear the hanyou growling. “Yeah, yeah, growl to you too.”
“What happened? Did she ditch me? Did that bastard kidnap her?” He asked as soon as Sango stepped into the light. His eyes flashed red and purple bolted down his cheeks, startling Sango. Is he that attached to her? “No, she had to get ready.” Sango winked and the hanyou visibly relaxed. “Now eat your soup and she should be here soon.”
Sango was walking up the stairs when Kagome emerged from her room in a baby pink, knee length, spaghetti strapped night gown. “Do I look like a whore?” She whispered playing with the hem. Sango smiled widely and shook her head; it had been so long since Kagome wore such cute clothes. She normally wore layers to bed. Kagome turned to the dungeon and took a deep breath. “Do you think he will like it?” She turned wide eyes to her Sango who couldn’t help but giggle. “Kagome I think he would like anything you wear.” Her smile returned and she walked slowly down the cold stairs.
