(disclaimer: Sorry the upload took so long on the last chapter but it’s gonna be that kind of summer where I work ridiculous amounts of hours and drink my sorrows away. {I LOVE BEING 21!} If this chapter is just miserably terrible I’m sorry, I’m suffering from a migrane I can’t shake and 99% of the medication I have found for them I can’t take because I’m that kid who’s allergic to Asprin! Blugh! ANYWAY! Onward! Oh yeah, I don’t own anything but the plot!)
Inuyasha growled as he leaned against the wall, Kagome’s scent was all over him! He loved it and hated himself at the same time. I can’t love this girl! What happens when I escape? Can I throw my own safety away to save her? He grumbled as his thoughts ran through his tired brain. The ceiling he was glaring at offered him no answers and that aggravated him too. Dammit I need to see her! Everything in here pisses me off when she’s not around. The scent of cherry blossoms reached him and he looked down from the ceiling to Kagome’s sister. “Where is she?” He asked, trying not to sound harsh.
Sango raised her eyebrows at him, attached much? She would have laughed but the situation wasn’t funny. What would Kagome do if Master Naraku killed this hanyou?
Inuyasha cleared his throat and Sango jumped, momentarily forgetting where she was. “Um, she is doing her chores. Miroku and I thought it would be best if you two had some space. Wouldn’t want Mistress Kikyo to get suspicious and all.” Inuyasha could smell the subtle change in her scent as she lied but he let it go. “Can I ask you something?” Sango set the tray containing a sandwich on it and looked at him warily. “You just did.” He growled and rolled his eyes, “how can Kagome be so…” He paused and seemed to think over his wording, “carefree after what happened to her?” Sango sat back on her haunches as she thought about it. “You know, I’ve never thought about it. She has just always seemed to bounce back quickly. One time when we were kids she fell and broke her arm. She cried the whole time they x-rayed it and cast it but afterwards she played house with me as if it had never happened. She didn’t even seem to notice the cast. She has just always been so happy…” Sango trailed off and thought of all the times Kagome had made her laugh when she wanted to do anything but. “She’s an amazing person Inuyasha.” She met his gaze and he saw her worry and fear. “Please don’t hurt her. Don’t lie to her. All this time, everything that has happened and she smiles through it; makes us smile through it. Please don’t take her smile.” With that said she stood and walked back upstairs.
Inuyasha picked up the sandwich and ate it slowly. “Please don’t take her smile.” He grinned to himself, as if I would take that smile. It’s beautiful. He shook himself at the thought and grumbled as he finished eating. This girl is going to be the death of me I just know it.
