Sango walked down the stairs and found the hanyou pacing and muttering darkly to himself. One ear twitched in her direction and he looked over at her, his face a mixture of fear and worry. “She’s still sleeping Inuyasha, relax. She is fine otherwise. Her neck looks almost perfect.” He sighed contently and settled against the wall.
“Ya know, if I didn’t know better, I’d say you were falling in love with my sister.” She said with a wink as she set the food in front of him. “Keh.” Was all she got in the way of an answer. “And if I may be so bold as to tell you, I think she is falling in love with you.” He choked on his eggs and had to beat his chest before he could hoarsely ask, “wh…what?”
“You heard dog ears.” She said as she turned and walked back up the stairs. That wench is strange. He thought as he stared after her. Could she be telling the truth? He closed his eyes and tried to picture Kagome and himself free and happy and… mated… A dark blush crept onto his face which surprised him seeing as most his blood rushed elsewhere. He pinched the bridge of his nose carefully and sighed. She would drop that on me as I’m trying to eat. He thought storing the thoughts away to finish his meal.
