Inu Yasha sat there while he watched her sleep. Kagome looked so peaceful. He had to fight the urges; he wanted nothing more to just hold her in his arms but knew that as soon as he did she would leave. "kikyo!" inu yasha said out loud. He went running out the door. I smell her, where is she, he thought. He came to a halt when he saw her standing in a small clearing surrounded by her soul collectors. "Kikyo" he said out loud again.

"Come to see me once again inu yasha" she said without moving or even looking at him. "Did you leave that woman of yours behind? Defenseless? You are too trusting." She then turned toward inu yasha. She had this smile on her face. "Your love for me will be her undoing" He laughs out loud. "Still you stay here with me, knowing she is unprotected, that any moment now somebody you sneak up on her and take the life from her"

"AHHHHH" a scream came from behind Inu Yasha, it was kagome. He turns scared, looking in the direction of the hut. Kagome! He thought.

"Alone and scared apparently, or maybe dead" kikyo smiles and inu yasha runs toward the village.

He got there in time to see shippo run out of the hut crying. "Inu Yasha!" he screams

"What is it shippo?" he lands in front of shippo about to ask about kagome. but then pauses in fright. I smell blood, kagomes blood, oh no! He then runs to the hut "what happened here" he saw the think blood tail on the ground of the hut. It was a little more that a foot wide and disappeared as it led out the door, as it was carried into the sky. But what was carried?

"Where were you inu yasha?" miroku asked ever so pissed but, but trying not to show it. "You were with kikyo weren't you?" his eye brow twitches.

"Shut up! What happened to kagome!"

"She's gone" said sango who had begun to cry. "We woke to her screams, there was blood every where and she dragged her out of the hut, and into the sky." She was now in complete tears. Shippo joined her as they cried in each others arms.

Inu Yasha's heart stopped "who?"

"I don't know" miroku replies. Miroku thinks back…

FLASHBACK---

Miroku opens his eyes to witness the blood covered lifeless kagome being dragged to the door by her foot.

"Stop!" Screamed miroku.

Shippo wakes. "kagome!" she screams.

"Where's inu Yasha?" sango asks.

The demon laughs as Miroku runs toward him; he sends an energy blast that sends the monk flying back to sango smashing her against the wall. The demon does an evil quiet laugh "this woman is mine, and all thanks to that kikyo…luring inu yasha away…he's so pathetic. She didn't even have to do anything; just go near enough for him to smell her sent. Show how much he loves this pathetic him." He lifts up kagome. Then the demon flew out the door and into the nights sky, leaving nothing more that the trail of kagome's blood.

END FLASHBACK-----

Miroku shuttered as he glared at inu yasha. "Kikyo was only here to lure you away from here so this demon could get their hands on kagome."

"Never!" screamed inu yasha.

They all gasp, "What did you do? What another moment of lust? go inu yasha." He looked away from him and walked out of the hut. Inu yasha looks at the blood on the ground. "You've made your choice, now go to kikyo." He was gone.

Sango was still crying "kagome's gone!"

"Stop your crying…" inu yasha yelled trying not to start crying himself "we have to go find her!"

"Not me" shippo cried "I despise you…" inu yasha gasped.

"fine stay here, sango come on!"

"NO!" she screamed. She stands up and walks toward the door carrying her boomerang. "You've made your choice, go to kikyo…" she walked past him stopping when she got to the door. "She is dead, we are going to recover her body" inu yasha's eyes glaze over as he feels his heart being ripped from his chest. "We need you to bring kagome's body back to her family. No one else can go through the well." shippo follows. "kirara!" she calls. Kirara fallows turning into the larger cat. Inu Yasha watches as miroku, sango, and shippo rides on Kirara's back into the sky.
