Disclaimer: I do not now, nor have I ever, owned any part of Inuyasha or his world. This is a work of fanfiction made entirely for the fans of Inuyasha to enjoy. This story is based off of Inuyasha characters that I do not own.

This is also a work of fiction. Any simularities to any real person, dead or alive, is completely coincidental.

Tomo, Higashi Asakura, and others, aside from obvious Inuyasha characters, are copyright to me. You may not use them without my consent.

One minor note on my part: This story contains many scenes of fluff. If this is not your thing, or if you are underage, this may not be the story for you. This will be your only warning of this. I can't really tell you to avoid any specific chapters because in doing so, you might miss vital information. I do not expect this story to be too long. At least, not much longer then Love is What Keeps Us.

If you have not read my previous stories, I suggest you do so before you read this story. Otherwise, you may not understand some of it.

The fluff scenes are easy to avoid. If you see it, simply skim over it until you find the "better" part of the chapter. If you are underage, I have only one suggestion: DO NOT READ THIS STORY. It's not rated NC-17 because of the pretty pink bunnies. Nor because I felt like rating it that. This is purely an adult story and for mature audiences only.

This is your first, last, and only warning.

Prologue

Asakura gave her mother a reproachful look. "But, Momma, Tomo really is a great guy. And the school is..."

"I don't care, Asakura! You are still a teenager and as long as you live under my roof..."

Tomo interrupted the woman, "That will change."

Asakura's mother glared at him as she sneered, "Oh, really? And what do you plan to do? Take her? In case you've forgotten, she's my daughter. Not to mention, she is still a minor, which puts her in my care. Not yours. I should have you arrested."

The spider demon gave the teenager a bored glance as he asked, "What would you have me arrested for?"

Asakura sat in the recliner. This was going to be a long night.

"For statutory rape?! The rape and molestation of a minor? You are an adult. A grown man," the woman argued. She pointed an accusing finger at her daughter as she yelled, "You lied to me. You told me you would be at one of your friends' houses this weekend. You said nothing about a grown man."

Tomo smirked. "Oh, she knows just how grown I am. You need not remind her."

The teenager moaned, "You aren't helping, Tomo."

Asakura's mother stared heatedly at the spider demon. "You admit to sleeping with my daughter?! I should have you arrested this very moment!"

Again, the bored look. The spider demon reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone. He tapped a few numbers in and put the phone to his ear. "Yes, who is this? Yoshi? This is Tomo. Let me speak to your father...Hey, detective?.. Oh, not much. I've got this woman here who wants me to be arrested... " he laughed, "Yes, I know... One of these days.... I slept with her daughter... Yeah... As if I'd go for anything less!... Uh, huh. Do you really think that's necessary?... ok. Hold on."

He took the phone away from his ear and handed it to Asakuri's mother. "Here," he said, "he wants to talk to you."

Tentatively, the woman took the phone and put it up to her ear. "H..hello?" she answered.

"Yes, this is Detective Narita. I hear Tomo's over there giving you problems?" the voice on the other end asked.

"Yes, detective," the woman answered. Growing more confident, she spoke up, "He wants to take my daughter to his house and keep her there. He's wanting to put her in a private school as well..."

"And this is a bad thing.... how?"

"Sir, my daughter is barely sixteen. It seems like you know this man, so you know he is a man," she told him. "A grown man. He's already admitted to sleeping with her. I did not give him permission to do such a thing. He's kept her over there all weekend..."

"Did you not know she was there?"

"No," she answered, "I thought she was at a friend's house."

"And you didn't bother to check?"

"I..." the woman faltered.

"Ma'am, with all due respect, if you wish to file a complaint on Tomo, you will have to give better reasons then the ones you are giving now. Where is her father?"

"On a business trip..." the woman whispered, sitting on the couch.

She could hear him sigh, "Is he often away on business trips?"

She nodded, but didn't say anything. He took the lack of a response as a "yes" and pressed on. "The girl is currently without a father. And possibly often without a father. Do you blame her for looking to older men for support?"

"But not to sleep with!" the woman shouted, standing up. "I don't give a rat's ass where her father is right now. That is not the important thing. This MAN slept with my TEENAGE daughter! He commited statutory rape and needs to be behind bars. I don't even want to imagine how many other innocent teenagers he has been with!"

"Ma'am.."

"You can stop with the 'ma'ams.' You are a detective. Or, supposedly. How can I even trust that that is what you are? I'm going to call a real detective and then I'm going to call my lawyer. If you won't put this predatory behind bars I will!"

The woman threw the phone at Tomo. "Get out of my house!" she ordered. "Get out of my house and leave my daughter alone, or so help me God!"

"God will not keep me from Asakura," the spider demon sneered.

"OUT!"

Tomo could hear Narita's voice calling to him. The spider demon clicked the hang up button and growled at the woman. She was seriously beginning to piss him off. "I will not leave without Asakura," he whispered dangerously.

"Oh, yes you will! You are trespassing on private property," Asakura's mother snarled. She grabbed the house phone and dialed the police department.

Before she could press the last number, Tomo grabbed the phone cord and pulled it out of the wall. It wasn't that he feared an arrest. He just didn't feel like dealing with a bunch of puny humans at the moment. "Asakura, let's go. We are leaving," he ordered.

Her mother grabbed her arm. "You will go no where, young lady," the woman proclaimed.

Tomo growled, "You will release her!"

Asakura struggled against her mother's hand. "Momma, you're hurting me," she said, pulling.

Her mother yanked at her arm. "Perhaps next time you'll know better," she snapped, squeezing her hand tighter around her daughter's arm. She pointed to Tomo with her other hand. "You, get out of here. I don't want to see you here anymore."

The spider's eyes flashed red. "I did not want to resort to this..."

"Tomo, no..." Asakura cried. She wrenched her arm free from her mother's grasp and ran to the spider demon. She placed her hands on his chest. "Let's just go. It doesn't need to come to this," she begged, fearful of what he might do.

"Asakura!" her mother shouted.

Tomo's eyes did not leave the older woman as he whispered to the girl, "We never should have come here."

She shook her head as she leaned her forehead on his chest. She felt as his hands slid along her arms. As angry as he was, he was gentle with her. It wasn't her fault her mother was a bitch.

Tomo figured it was going to be hard to get the girl away from her parents. He hadn't realized it would be this difficult. He had thought her parents would be happy to have her go off to a private school, free of charge, where she could get proper education. Indeed, any parent would've been proud to have their child going to a private school and not have to pay for it.

It was Asakura who incidently mentioned sleeping at his house. The spider demon knew she hadn't said it on purpose, but when her mother asked where she would stay, "Tomo's place" came out. It had gone downhill from there. Now the woman was threatening to call the police. Not that Tomo feared such a thing. The human police knew who he was, if not what he was. They were under strick orders to call the "special division" when it came to him. And the demonslayers wouldn't do anything to him. Not when it involved a girl.

Tomo gently turned the young girl towards the door and began walking to it. He was as much ready to leave as she was. They had all ready lingered here for too long. His eyes left her mother as he turned his attention to his new task. Going home. He could hear the woman begging for the girl not to go, but he didn't pay attention.

He figured the moment they left, the woman would call the cops, but he didn't care. Let her. There wasn't a damn thing they would do to him.

He opened the car door for Asakura and then went to the driver's side. They were well on the interstate before her mother went to her room and picked up the phone.
