"Have you ever thought of the future? Or what we might become? Sometimes I wish I could tell you how I really feel. What I wish we could become. Our future together Or will we be apart? Since that first day I saw you, I knew I wanted to stay with you forever. I knew that I could melt the ice encasing your heart; that I could set you free.
You are the only reason I come back. I don't know what I would do with out you. You saved me, won my heart I became dependent on you. You supported me through thick and thin, the good and bad. You nearly drove me insane many times: I used to think that when you looked at me you only saw her. I sometimes still think that, but I'm beginning to realize that you see me for me, not her.
I've also realized that what I feel for you goes deeper than the normal friendship. I think about us, together, sharing our true feelings, ya know? We keep them buried, afraid of what others might say. So what? We've known each other for going on two years, and I just hope you feel the same about me."
She put down her pencil and read over the note. 'Do I really have the guts to give him this?' She anxiously folded the piece of paper and quickly tucked it into the back of her notebook as the final bell rang. She picked up her bag and turned to walk out of the classroom, when she heard a familiar voice. "Yo! Kagome! Wait up!" She turned around and did a double take when she saw who was running towards her. She shook her head and blinked.
"I-Inuyasha?!" Her jaw dropped and her book bag fell to the ground by her feet. It was him, with black hair, and no cute puppy ears. He was wearing the standard black uniform with the shirt open and his undershirt showing. He stopped in front of her and tilted his head to the side.
"What's a matter?" He raised an eyebrow and waited for an answer. "What're you doin' here? Why do you have black hair? There was a full moon last night. Why are you in the school uniform?!" She stared at his strange new look. She had to admit he did look super hot! She glared evilly at him and dared him to tell her.
He laughed and scratched the back of his head. "Eh-heh heh," he grinned sheepishly and shrugged.
"Well I was coming back to get you but you weren't home I tried to go back through the well, but for some reason, I couldn't go back. I went to your house, and your mom made a huge deal over my ears, AGAIN, but they suddenly disappeared" He paused and glanced around. He had the weirdest feeling, almost like he was being watched. He fought the urge to growl and warn who-or whatever was watching him. She noticed him looking around and raised an eyebrow. "What is it Inuyasha?"
He blinked and looked at her. "Huh? Oh, never mind, it's nothing So anyway, I'm standing in your kitchen when all of a sudden they disappeared, and I've got black hair. Your mom kinda freaked out" He chuckled inwardly; the look on Mrs. Hirgurashi's face was priceless .
He sighed, "It was you mom's idea for me to put this stupid uniform thingy on and 'enroll' in your school." He noticed the look on her face and almost blushed. 'What the hell? That's a "Miroku looking at Sango" look.' He "feh"-ed and looked away. He was used to the monk looking like that, but seeing Kagome with that look was just plain out weird! He rolled his eyes and started walking towards the shrine.
Kagome's eyes locked on his rear as he walked off. 'Gods! That outfit just looks too good on him!' She bit her bottom lip and tried to clear her head of all the obscene images of him.
"C'mon Inuyasha! Wait UP!" She jogged to catch up with him. Sighing he waited for her. "Ya know ya don't have to be such a jerk." He glared at her but stopped when he saw the puppy-dog-look. He growled quietly to himself. "Evil" he mumbled the rest of that sentence.
Another dagger shooting look passed over her face before she replied to his story. "So mom's the one who registered you?" He nodded. He still had that feeling they were being watched, he knew they were, but by who? This time he couldn't hold the growl rising from his throat. He turned around and came face to face with a certain someone's over-confident "boyfriend".
"Hello, Kagome-chan." The ignorant fool looked at Inuyasha. "And who is this uh person?" Inuyasha narrowed his eyes. "Hojo, this is Inuyasha." She stood back and prayed Inuyasha would behave. They glanced at each other, Inuyasha trying to assess the human's strength. He almost snickered when he realized Shippo could beat this guy. He wouldn't be any trouble to beat.
"Kagome-chan?" He looked away from Inuyasha's chilly brown gaze. "I was wondering if like maybe this Saturday or something, we could go out. Like to the movies or the carnival?" Inuyasha smirked at the awkward look on Hojo's face.
Kagome sighed and rolled her eyes, "Hojo You're a nice guy and all, but I've already made plans" She glanced at Inuyasha, who was still eyeing Hojo. "I'm sorry," she mumbled and looked away.
"So You're b-breaking up with m-me?!" He looked heart-broken. "Hojo we never actually went out" She mumbled. Inuyasha had a look of pure glee on his face. Kagome glared at him, 'If only I could shoot daggers' Inuyasha's smile quickly faded but his eyes stayed happy. Hojo looked at her in utter disbelief. How could she not want to go out with the hottest guy at school?
Kagome's watch beeped suddenly, and she looked at it. "Holy I've gotta go Sorry again, Hojo" Her voice trailed off as she hastily bowed and ran back towards her house. She ran off, leaving the human looking miserable and disappointed. Inuyasha glared at the human one last time, and walked after Kagome.
