Kagome: This is gonna take a while…

 

 

“How long has she been gone?” Shippo questioned feeling a looming sense of with drawl at his onee-chan's leaving. Inuyasha looked at him and growled.

 

“I don't know and I don't care! She should have thought about how I…I mean we felt about her giving up her humanity like that!” He huffed and went back to pacing in the corner. Although he was angry with her, he could not help but worry about her. They had beaten her up pretty badly and…

 

“LADY KAGOME! LADY KAGOME!” A shrill little voice echoed from outside. The hurried to see who, and or what, was calling their missing friend.

 

A blue floating ball of light flew back and forth over the small area near the hut. Landing on Inuyasha's shoulder the blue light turned out to be a small fairy dressed in a tank top, some boots, and a mini skirt.

 

“Geez! Great job Akira! The day she finds out that she's a hanyou and you scuttle off to a club!” Looking at the half-demon she had landed on she sighed heavily.

“Don't tell me, you Inuyasha. Heir to the western land thrown and all the perks that go with it?”

Inuyasha nodded. She ran a hand through her icy blue hair and took a bow in Inuyasha's shoulder.

 

“I am Akira. Loyal guardian of the Black Inu-clan. Current guardian of Lady Kagome.” She spoke. Her attention drew to a certain flea that was hiding behind Inuyasha's right ear.

“Umm, hello Akira! Umm, fancy meeting you here of all places…” The fairy thudded her wings and flew up to Myouga staring him straight in the eye.

 

“Where is she?” Myouga gulped hard.

“Well…” The minute he spoke the last word of his tale the flea demon went flailing down to earth. The fairy huffed hard with the hammer she had pulled from nowhere still in her grasp.

“You're telling me that these ruffians physically hurt Lady Kagome?”

 

The flea nodded. Staring at Inuyasha, she began to growl.

“And where in Kami's name were you at the time? Out with that Kikyo woman no doubt!” She huffed and went on about stupid nigens and how some women should stay dead.

“How do you know about Kikyo?” The fairy looked at him as if he had asked what color was his coat.

“Every demon within a 50 mile radius knows about Kikyo and the heir of the western lands trying to bed her and not the woman he was intended for!” She began to pull on her hair.

“Do you know how many of Lady Kagome's family she has killed all because she wasn't the first born! All because she thought that since her demonic powers didn't show up she was still liable to have the thrown and that Kagome wasn't worthy to have you!”

 

The breathing of the fairy went choppy.

“All because Lord Higurashi decided that Kagome was a special child that needed to be trained. Her powers needed to be known and she needed a mate to do that. But No! Kikyo couldn't stand the fact that he little sister was getting all the glory and she was stuck as a human! My Lord sent Kagome to the future with her mother to start a new life and decided to take Kikyo with him but that wasn't good enough either. That…that…that girl had to kill her own father so Kagome could never know about her powers!”

 

Inuyasha looked at the fairy and tired to get his brain to comprehend what in the world she was saying. He and Kagome were meant to be wed? Kikyo was her sister? What in Kami's name was going on?

 

“And your father was pissed! That was before he died of course. So now all this carp lands squarely in the shoulders of little ol' me and that coot on the ground!” She had pulled out a fare amount of her hair and was beginning to get light headed.

 

“Akira-san…it was lord Inuyasha's doing that led her to flee the way she did.” Inuyasha cut Myouga a look of pure hatred that sent the flea-demon's blood to run cold.

 

“YOU! You of all people! After three years of having to listen to her moan and grip about how she loves you and crying! Kami the crying!” Inuyasha winced in pain as the fairy yelled into his ear.

“And further more…what smells like wolf?”

 

A gust of wind flew by the by-standing group. Kouga stood there with a sleeping Kagome in his arms. He walked over to Inuyasha and deposited the hanyou in his arms.

“You an evil butt-hole and the only reason I brought her back to you was because she said she loved you too much to go with me.” Looking at the fairy at Inuyasha's side, he nodded.

 

“Akira.”

“Kouga.” He left in a cloud of dust leaving Inuyasha befuddled. He sighed as he looked at the female in his arms. He could not help but want to hold he like that forever but forever was a little beyond his reach.
