She shook her head and ran a hand through her now silver and black locks.
“They should have told me something.” She growled as she leapt into another tree. The sacred tree seemed so high from where she perched. Kaede's village was a mere leap away and yet she could not help but want to run away.

Silently she began to hum Linkin Park's “Crawling.” His angry voice echoed form the confines of the small hut. Her black dog-ears twitched nervously as she made the final leap into the mouth of a monster.

Inuyasha downed another of Sango's half-cooked Ramen. He was obviously pissed. Kagome had left for home about a week ago and she told him that if he followed her pack she would sit him until kingdom come.

Myouga fingered the mini cup of tea in his flea hands.

`Lady Kagome has most likely found out by now. It is the 18th year of her birth. Oh Kami…what if Lord Inuyasha finds out I had a hand in her unknowing. Even worse, what if she doesn't come back? Would she be that scared to face him?'

The flea sighed knowingly and sipped his tea.

The rustle of the rice paper door had everyone looking to the entrance of the hut. A black Inu-hanyou stood in the doorway. Her eyes bore great meaning. They were soft and brown. Her hair was raven and held silver streaks. She wore Kagome's clothes and backpack. The only difference between the miko and this hanyou was that they were different species.

“Kago…” Inuyasha's words died short as he looked at the creature. This was not his Kagome. The uncompleted Shikon no Tama lay at the base of her throat. The female hanyou's black tail fell from the hem of the skirt.

“Darn it! I hoped that would not keep happening. Darn thing wouldn't stay up for three minutes!” The female had not noticed while she was fumbling with her tail, that the group had arisen and took a fighting stance. That was before the Hiraikos hit her flinging her from the hut.

“You! Youkai, tell us where our friend Kagome is and had over the jewel shard you posses and we shall be lenient.” Miroku said following the hanyou. Inuyasha poised himself ready to deliver the Kazu no Kizu. Shippo reared his fox magic and proceeded to chase the Youkai along with the group.

The hunt came to a stop in the middle of the small clearing where the well sat. The inu-hanyou was shaking in fear and her eyes were red from tears that streamed down her cheeks. Words would not form as an angry Inuyasha leapt at her and grasped at her throat.

“Where is Kagome!?!” He yelled. No one moved or came to her rescue as things began to get dark.

“I'm r…r…right here.” She rasped as he released her throat. Inuyasha looked at the inu-hanyou beneath him.

“ Kagome?” Tears slipped from her eyes. Her body ached. Not only from the beating she had endured from her friends but also at the fact that Inuyasha proved that he hated and loved her all at the same time.

“You stupid wench!” Kagome wrenched free of his grasp and ran. She did not stop until the yells of her love were too strained to hear and the smell of wolves was close. A blue light she knew to well began to follow her and she picked up her pace.
