Chapter 4

“Welcome to the WDSA headquarters!”

Kagome felt that somehow she was transported to the future. People were everywhere, working on one thing or the other. There were a lot of computers and other gizmos. There were even bullet trains, which were meant to be elevators, moving people from one place to another. There were also machines operated by robots. The workers were getting on like it was a normal day. But the only person in awe was Kagome.

'Wow! This place is huge! I've never seen this much technology in my life! Have I been teleported to the future?'

“Somebody pinch me? Is this all a dream? OW!” Kagome, not knowing she had said that out loud was pinched by Azumi who had a giddy expression on her face. Kiki giggled at the back. Kagome glared at them both, at Azumi more though.

“I didn't mean literally! Your nails are sharp you know!”

“But you asked for it and I was happy to oblige. Anyway, let's go, we have to meet the others at the control center. I'm sure your lover boy is dying to see you.” Azumi added the last part with a smirk.

The statement made Kagome blush.

“Shut it Azumi! Besides, it's bad enough he swipes spit with Kinky-ho.”

They both looked at each other and exclaimed at the same time, “EWWW!” They both laughed their heads off at the same time. After that, the trio got out of the car and Kagome followed Azumi, Kiki holding her mother's hand. During their journey, Kagome observed her environment, excitement and curiosity in her eyes. A question popped up in her mind.

“Hey Azumi?”

“Yeah?”

“How did the organization begin?”

“Hm... Well I don't really know but it did start 50 years after the time of the feudal era. From what my dad told me, Naraku's soul was awakened in his new body and that led to the disaster. He then had been looking for that jewel. I didn't really get the rest of it, remember I'm not a big fan of history... Yuck... But from that day forward, all of our family joined together to form the organization. And from that day forward, it just kept going on and on and on and on and...”

“OK I get it.” Kagome said interrupting her.

They had gotten to an elevator. The doors opened and they had to move out of the way for the people getting, more like running out, to avoid being trampled on.

“Man! It's like a stampede!” Kagome exclaimed.

Azumi merely shrugged. “Eh, you'll get used to it.”

Kagome looked at her with wide eyes. “You mean I have to go through this everyday?”

Azumi replied, “That's why the place is this big. The volume keeps getting larger so we have to make some slight changes in the dimensions in the size of the area.”

After all the people had piled out, they entered the elevator which started moving upwards. The elevator was a see through so Kagome kept staring in awe at the place as they went higher. Kagome then looked at Azumi and Kiki when she heard Kiki ask a question.

“Mama, will papa be waiting for us?”

Azumi smiled at her. “Yes sweetheart, daddy will be there.”

Kiki jumped up and down in excitement. “Yay! I can't wait to tell papa what happened today!”

The question caught Kagome's attention. She then looked at Azumi. “Papa?”

Azumi nodded.

Kagome thought to herself, 'Hm wonder who her father is. Whoever he is is definitely lucky with Azumi.'

It took a few minutes before they reached their destination which was located on the highest floor. Once the doors were open, they got out and moved forward approaching another door. The door had the same logo Kagome saw on the computer. Slowly, the doors opened and the trio walked into the room. Entering the room, Kagome spotted a large circular table located at the center of the room. The floor was covered with a red plush carpet which was very soft. In the room, she saw pictures of different people she didn't know.

'Probably former members of the organization' Kagome thought.

“Welcome Ms. Higurashi. I'm sure kitten there explained the whole situation to you.”

Kagome turned to the person that just addressed her.

“Se-Sesshoumaru?”

It was then that Kagome noticed the people that were present in the room. Out from the shadows came Sesshoumaru, then InuYasha, Miroku, Sango and Shippou.

“Papa!”

Kagome turned towards Kiki and saw her run towards Shippou. Shippou hugged her and carried her after.

“Hey lil monkey, how was your day with mama and Kagome?” Shippou asked.

Kiki replied with a giggle. She was talking really fast. “It was awesome! There were these two guys that had guns and were shooting and us and mama was driving really fast and a bullet passed beside my head and one was saying something perverted to mama and she shot him with her awesome pink gun and...”

“Calm down Kiki.” Shippou replied with a chuckle. “How about you play with Kilala and Shiori? We have a lot to talk about. You can tell me the rest when we're done.”

“OK!”

Shippou had out her down and she ran towards a cat demon with two tails and a miniature hippogriff. Once she was gone, attention was focused on Kagome.

“All of this must be overwhelming for you.” Sesshoumaru said.

Kagome looked at him with a 'What do you think' look which Sesshoumaru ignored.

“Have a seat.”

She, as well as the others, sat down waiting for Sesshoumaru to speak. Sesshoumaru moved towards a computer which automatically came on, showing the WDSA logo. He turned towards the audience.

“Where would you like to start Kagome?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“I don't know. This is so weird. It's not everyday you find out you're some part of secret mission and your BEST FRIENDS are secret agents!” She replied, glaring at Sango and Azumi.

Sango waved her hands, trying to calm her down. “We're sorry Kagome. We didn't think you were ready to know. Heh heh.”

She directed her glare at Azumi. “And you! You kept the secret from me. Yet an eight year old knows about this whole escapade!”

She bowed her hair in shame, looking like a lost puppy. Kagome regretted what she said. She moved to hug her.

“I'm sorry Azumi. I didn't mean to hurt you. Everything's just weird that's all. Please forgive me.”

There was silence in the room until InuYasha started snickering. Kagome glared at him.

“What's so funny?' She asked.

“You actually fell for it.” He broke down laughing. Sesshoumaru had a knowing smirk on his face. Kagome looked down and saw a wide grin on Azumi's face. A vein popping on her head, she pulled and twisted Azumi's ear painfully.

“Ow! InuYasha, tell your girlfriend to stop torturing my poor ear! Owie!” The statement made her twist it harder. The others only giggled. Finally Miroku spoke.

“Alright Kagome. I think that's enough. Her ear is turning red.”

With that said, Kagome let her ear go, returning to her seat grumbling. Azumi turned towards Sesshoumaru with cute puppy eyes. He sighed and went towards her, rubbing her sore ear gently. Kagome smiled at the gesture. InuYasha cleared his throat.

“Forgetting about that awkward moment,” Sesshoumaru glared at him, “we have bigger matters to discuss, like how to get the old folks back.”

Kagome turned towards InuYasha.

“Old folks? You mean our parents? What do they have to do with any of this? Did something happen to them?” Kagome asked worriedly.

“Our parents have been captured. They were taken as prisoners by the Deadly Miasma Agency, known as DMA.” Sesshoumaru stated, letting go of Azumi ear, making sure it wasn't red anymore. He walked towards the computer which showed a few people on the screen.

Kagome was confused. “DMA? What's that?”

“They're another agency, kinda like our sworn enemies. The members are also involved with the feudal era.” Sango replied. “They're also after the jewels.”

“But what do our parents have to do with this?”

“They're agents too Kagome. We, the kids, are still in training while they handle the main things. Once they retire, we'll take their place.” Shippou replied. “But looking at what has happened so far, I guess our time has come to take over.”

“Oh. So when were they taken?”

“They were kid-, I mean 'parent-napped' yesterday, wait is that a word?” Azumi asked.

InuYasha gave her a dull look. “And you're the smartest kid in school. I don't believe this.” He said shaking his head whereas she grinned at him.

“They received a message yesterday that DMA wanted to meet them face to face. So they left letters for us and told us what to do in case they didn't come back.” InuYasha said. He looked at Kagome. “Your letter is probably at home. And don't worry about your brother and the old man, they're safe.” InuYasha added knowing what Kagome was going to ask.

She made a sigh of relief. “So who are these people involved?”

On the screen appeared people she didn't expect to see. She looked at InuYasha and Azumi, both having looks of indifference on their faces. She turned back towards the screen.

“Naraku Onigumo, Kikyou Moshimaru, Kagura Himora, Kanna Onigumo and Hakoudashi Onigumo. They're the heads of the agency, Naraku being the leader. There are many others that are willing to serve them because of lust for power.” Sesshoumaru stated.

Kagome looked at InuYasha and Azumi.

“So why are you guys dating them if you know they're the bad guys?” Kagome asked.

“That's the undercover mission we're on.” Azumi replied. “You see, their parents left the organization for them to take over. And they kinda hate WDSA. And we believe they know the whereabouts of our parents. We've been with them since middle school, and we've been posing as their 'intimate' friends.” Azumi stated.

Kagome gave her a look that showed pity.

“I'm fine Kagome. Don't worry about me.” Azumi said.

“Yeah but he took your virginity!” Kagome blurted out. That made Azumi blush, her whole face completely red.

“No he didn't! You see before we started the relationship, I constructed suits to look like my real body. So when he's having 'fun' with me, it goes in a different direction, thus not entering my real body. Although it does soil my outfit.” Azumi replied.

“Oh.” She turned to InuYasha. “What about you?”

“Well Azumi kinda did the same thing for me. So it's technically not the real thing entering her. That way, she won't get pregnant. It's amazing though.” He smirked at Azumi. “Are you sure you haven't been spying on me when I'm masturbating?”

That made all the girls blush and Sesshoumaru hit him on the head. Miroku laughed his head off.

“And you call me the perverted one.” He stopped laughing. “Nevertheless...” He walked towards Azumi and held her hands. Seriousness was evident on his face. “Ms. Azumi, will you...”

“Save it monk. No way no how!” Azumi replied with a glare saying 'If you don't let me go, I'll rip your arms off!'. Miroku eagerly obliged. “Besides, your girlfriend's over there. Go have fun with her.”

Miroku turned towards Sango, who gave him a killer glare. An anime sweatdrop appeared on the back of his head.

'Oh boy' Kagome, InuYasha, Shippou and Sesshoumaru thought at the same time. Kagome turned towards Azumi.

“Wait a minute. You guys kept saying 'jewels'. Is there more than one jewel involved?” Kagome asked.

“Indeed there is. The second jewel is said to be more powerful than the Shikon Jewel itself. It can change the fate of the world, or anyone's destiny. For someone to be its guardian, the person has to possess a pure soul that has never been tainted with evil. But no one knows the whereabouts of this said item.” Miroku replied.

“But is it possible? There's so much evil in the world. No one can escape from it. Unless the person is some kind of angel.” Kagome said.

“Well let's put that aside, shall we?” Azumi suggested quickly. “Right now we need to focus on the main mission.” Kagome looked at her strangely.

“She's right.” Sesshoumaru replied.

“Yeah well but there's not much detail behind it.” InuYasha looked at Kagome. “The main thing we need to do is find the two jewels before they do. Also we end the war once and for all, with us being the victors of course.” He said with a smirk. “Because if they get even one of the jewels, the world will be in great danger. Also we need to save our parents.”

Kagome nodded. “OK, what do I need to do?”

Sesshoumaru started, “We need you to get involved with Naraku. Get close to him so that he'll be able to spill his secrets to you. Every single bit of information gets to us, giving us ideas of where to hit them. Are you up for it Kagome?”

Kagome gulped. This was a desperate situation. She could leave and act like all this was a dream or she could put the fate of the world on her shoulders. But it was too late to turn back. She was already involved more than she thought. So she had no other choice. With new found determination, she made her decision.

“Yes. I'm up for it.” Was her reply.

Sesshoumaru smiled at her. “You're officially a proud member of the WDSA.”

Kagome smiled at the others, who smiled back at her. But Kagome noticed InuYasha had a strange look in his eyes, which made Kagome blush. She was suddenly jumped on by Sango and Azumi.

“Yay, you're a part of our family now!” Azumi exclaimed.

“Welcome to the club Kagome!” Sango exclaimed.

“Guys I can't breathe!” Kagome complained. They got off from her and mumbled apologies.

“Come on, I'm hungry. Let's go home.” Azumi suggested.

“I agree. Kagome has to see where she'll be staying.” Shippou said.

Everybody else got up and started leaving the room. With Sesshoumaru leading them, they went towards a bullet train. A few seconds later, Kiki joined them, running into her mother's arms. With the doors closed, the train started moving. On their way there, Kagome tried to start a conversation.

“So... Will I have my own room or what?”

Shippou shook his head. “Each person is assigned to a roommate of the opposite sex.”

“What?! Who came up with THAT idea?!” Kagome asked.

Shippou pointed at the youngest in the group, besides Kiki.

“What? I thought it would be sweet!” Azumi said.

“Yeah right.” Everyone said at once.

“Because of your SWEET idea, I was paired up with the lecher!” Sango stated.

“Aw sweet Sango, I know you love being with me.” Miroku said, wagging his eyebrows.

“Can it pervert.” Was the reply, along with a blush.

Kagome had a dull look on her face. 'Yup, they're definitely meant for each other.'

They had reached their destination in a minute.

“Wow that was fast.” Kagome commented.

“Duh that's why it's called a bullet train.” InuYasha stated with a smirk.

Kagome humphed. (Is that a word? Oh well...) They all piled out of the train and headed towards a door which opened automatically.

“Tomorrow, Shippou'll give you the tour of the place.” Sesshoumaru indirectly ordered.

“Can I come too?” Kiki asked.

“You have to ask your mama.” Shippou replied looking at Azumi expectantly.

Azumi smiled at Kiki. “Sure you can. After all, tomorrow's Saturday.”

“Yay!”

“You know it's really scary. You three act like a real family.” InuYasha complimented, making the teens blush.

“I have to agree with my idiotic brother. For once he said something sensible.” Was Sesshoumaru's remark.

“Hey! Can it you bas- Ow! Azumi?!” InuYasha glared at her and she glared back.

Kiki tugged her mother's arm which caught her attention. “It's OK mama. I know what he was going to say.”

Everyone had sweatdrops behind their heads, all glaring at InuYasha.

“Now look at what you've done! At such a young age too!” Sango said.

“Tsk tsk tsk... I feel sorry for his kids already.” Miroku stated.

“Oh what a shame.” Shippou said.

“I couldn't agree more.” Sesshoumaru added.

“Poor souls. I can imagine them now. They'll run towards an old lady and suddenly call her a 'female dog'. The poor woman would have a stroke immediately after hearing that from a child.” Kagome finished.

They all bowed their heads in shame. InuYasha looked freaked out. All of a sudden, they started snickering and they broke out laughing. The group had started splitting up to their various rooms, leaving two people alone in front of a door. Kagome looked at the person that was standing beside her.

“InuYasha, aren't you gonna go to your room?” Kagome asked.

“Keh. This is my room.” Was his reply.

'Wait, that means...'

“Y-You're my roommate?” Kagome asked, a blush slowly appearing on her face.

InuYasha gave her a sexy smirk which made her legs feel like water. “Yes, yes I am.” He placed his hand on her cheek, his face getting closer to hers. “And I take it as an honor being your roommate. We're gonna get along just fine, aren't we Kagome?” By this time, he was staring at her eyes, amber clashing with chocolate brown. Their lips were a few centimeters away. Both were mesmerized by each other. Before things got out of hand, InuYasha reluctantly moved away from her towards the door. The door automatically opened and he stepped in. He turned towards Kagome and gave her a soft smile when he noticed that she had gotten redder.

“Come on, you can't stand there all day. I'll show you around.”

Kagome was finally able to move. But she still couldn't get what just happened out of her mind.

'Whoa... That was DEFINITELY something... This is gonna be one long adventure'...

Well THAT was long! And it's past midnight! Oh well... Pls read n review! Later! Oh and also, Shippou's hair is longer, like InuYasha's but the color's the same and he still holds it in a ponytail! Bye!
