"Watch your language!" Kagome shouted.

Chapter 15: International Day


It had been a few months since Inuyasha and Serenity arrived in the past. All the 'training' that Kagome had taught him had really helped. Inuyasha could no handle a sword, and even two all thanks to the miko. Serenity learned how to use daggers, arrows, and swords. She was good since she had that type of trading in the future. Inuyasha smirked up high on the tree, and he leapt down and ran into the forest. Serenity was there, looking down the well


"Do you think we can get back?" asked serenity. Inuyasha got closer to look down the well


"Well, if falling through it got us here, then maybe falling through it again can get us back"


"Yeah, but what if we fall down there and break and arm or something"


"Don't worry" Inuyasha said "Climb on my back, and if we don't make it I can jump back out"


Serenity nodded "Ok, but if we die, it's your fault"


"We won't die"


"But, i|I'm only saying IF we do die"


"Whatever

"Give me that one" Kagome said. Sango handed Kagome the banner, Kagome was on a ladder putting up the name of the country. In a couple of days, it would be International Day. It was to celebrate the countries of the seniors in high school going off the college. Kagome, by some miracle managed to get back into the school. The hallways were greatly decorated and each classroom had different countries. Kagome put up the banner that said 'Welcome to America' she smiled and got down


"Have you seen Inuyasha?" asked Kagome


''Nope, Mr. Past has been wandering around the school all morning" sango said "He's kinda getting on my nerves, but since he's from the past I'll forgive him"


"He and Serenity have done well, I mean for two people that are probably from like one-thousand years ago" Kagome smiled. Miroku walked down the hall to his friends


"Hey, have you seen Rin?" asked Miroku. Sango shock her head


"I think she was in Australia a couple of minutes ago. She said she was going to England from there" Kagome said



"Oh, ok lemme go catch up with her. I'm having problem with the stupid presentation and she could help"


"Ok"


"That sounded kinda weird, don't you think" Sango stated


"What do you mean?" Kagome asked a bit puzzled


"Look, you said that Rin was in Australia and then was going to England. It just sounds a bit weird"


"Oh, I get it"



"Hi!" Inuyasha shouted down the hall. Kagome and Sango saw Inuyasha with a whole bunch of decorations. He walked over to them and into their classroom; he set the materials down and went back into the hallway. As he walked by and said


"You two should go to Italy, they've got pizza" Inuyasha said pointing to the classroom that had Italy "Oh, and go to Ireland to, they have food there to"


Inuyasha stopped and grabbed his head, he feel to the floor. Kagome and Sango rushed to his side


"My head hurts"


"Are you ok, what's going on?" said Sango. He closed his eyes and a couple of seconds later


"Serenity! Wake up!" shouted Rin from the other side of the hallway.

"Grab on tightly!" shouted Inuyasha as he jumped in. Blue light surrounded them and a couple of minutes later they saw two others headed down as they headed up. Back in the hallway, Inuyasha's eyes shot open


"What the fuck, where am I?" he asked frantically looking around. He saw things hanged up everywhere and people dressed differently "What the fuck is going on?"


"Past Inuyasha, are you ok" asked Sango


"Past Inu- What the hell?"


"Hey, aren't you from the past"



"No, I was in the past and I just had Serenity on my back"


"What are you talking about; you just said to go to Italy and Ireland. You said they've got great food"


"I've never been to Ireland, Italy yes"


"But you just came back from- INUYASHA!" Kagome shouted hugging him tightly


"It worked!" Inuyasha said hugging Kagome back. "Damn, I wish we tried that sooner"


"YASHIE!" Serenity shouted ''It worked, we're back home again!"


"I know!"


"How long has it been since we were gone?" asked Serenity


"I think three months"


"Fuck, what have I missed in school"


"Not much, just preparing for International day, I'm so happy your back!"


"Thanks, Kagome" responded Inuyasha. They all exchanged hugs and they were all really happy that the twins were back. They went back inside the class where everyone was working on posters and art, math, geography, and a whole bunch of other things for their country.


"Inuyasha, our class has America" Sango said. Inuyasha looked at her and tilted his head to the side


"Huh?"



"Idiot, remember Kagome told you that our school is preparing for International day." Miroku said while he was working on a poster. He was sitting on his desk working on an 'American Age Schooling' poster.



"Ok, where's Rin?" Serenity asked looking around and spotting the American flag



"I think she's helping Mrs. Tama's class" answered Sango.



"Kagome! Can you help us please!?" shouted a girl. She had a stapler, the flag, and a chair. She smiled "I'm not tall enough, not even with the chair. Please put the flag up here" she pointed on top of the blackboard, Kagome nodded and went over to her. Kagome put the flag up while the other girl handed her the stapler



"Thanks Kag"


"No problem Yura" Kagome said and smiled.


'I'm still clueless' thought Inuyasha

"Where are we now brother?" asked Serenity.



"I think we're back home again" answered Inuyasha. They looked down to find themselves dressed in their regular kimonos. They smiled and Inuyasha carried his sister as they jumped out of the well



"Welcome back home sister"

It was Wednesday morning. The students had been in their third period classes when the principal came over the loud speaker



"Excuse the interruption, but will all the High School please report to the auditorium for an assembly. Thank you."


Everybody went into the auditorium and the principal was on stage with the microphone


"As you know, International Day is on Friday. I think it would be best if for all students to return to their homeroom after this period and work on International day for today and tomorrow. So, after this you'll go back to whatever class you have and then straight to homeroom, classes will be canceled starting today. Out schedule will return to normal on Monday. Ok, here is the schedule for International Day. 8:00am-9:00am is preparations, then other schools come along with some of your parents and they can go to nay classrooms they desire. From 12:00pm-1:30pm is lunch in the cafeteria where food from all over the world will be severed. From 1:30pm-2:00 is student preparation for the show. All students are required to where some clothes from the country they are doing, and the students that will be doing the show will be backstage at least by 1:45pm. Then at 5:00pm International day is over and everyone may go home. Thank you and now you may return to your classes"


Everyone cheered and went back to their classes. Kagome, Miroku, and Inuyasha went to Social Studies/History. Sango, Sesshomaru, and Serenity went to Math. And Rin went to art.


(Social Studies Classroom)


"Ok, since apparently this is the last time I see you in the week you will have a test on Monday. It will be on our marking period topic. The test will contain American History, and geography. Study well, the test if four pages long. The whole class said ''Aww'' but knowing they HAD to study. "I'll give you the last fifteen minutes free"


"Hey, I don't know shit about America" said Inuyasha


"You can borrow my notes tonight'' said Kagome



"Aw, but I thought we were gonna have fun tonight Kagome"


"Study first, plus I gotta practice"


"For what?"


"She and Sango are going to sing some of songs that they chose in Japanese and then English" Miroku said.


"Oh"

"You tired?" Kagome asked


"Fuck yeah, you should have seen yourself in the past. Jeez, you made me work almost until midnight everyday and then wake me up at four 'o' clock in the morning for more training. I had thirty minutes to dress and eat, at lunch I had fifteen, and at dinner I had twenty. The rest of the day was all training from you. Plus, the International Day crap"


Kagome giggled, but went back to studying. Pretty soon she heard Inuyasha's snores. She went into the bathroom, passed Rin and Sesshomaru's room, and then went back to her room. She covered Inuyshasha and laid down to join him in Dream Land

INETERNATIONAL DAY!

Thursday everyone was putting the finishing touches on their classrooms. Friday was going to be chaos, it was 8:45am


"Come on, we've gotta get dressed!" Rin said. They decided to wear jeans and a red, white, and blue shirts. American clothes weren't much different from modern Japanese clothes. Kagome had the red shirt, Sango the white, and Rin the blue.


"If Rin's shirt had stars she'd look like some of the American flag" Sango said. The changed and they passed some other countries.


"COME ON! PEOPLE!" their teacher shouted. They took their index cards and went to where they were suppose to go. They were ready when little kids barged into their room looking at everything. Each prestations were thirty minutes long and then the next class would come in. The teacher got them under control and they all sat down to listen to the teens. The teacher nodded for them to begin. Miroku went first and Sango pulled down the map. She pointed as Miroku spoke



"Hello and welcome to America. Umm...America had fifty states and the country spreads from ocean to ocean. The eastern cost starts on the Atlantic Ocean and it ends on the Western coast on the Pacific Ocean. Also, America has had two world wars and one of them involving Japan. Any questions so far?"


One of the little kids raised their hand. Miroku chose him "Umm..Which war were we involved in?"


"My lovely Sango will explain that" Miroku said. Sango was in charge of American wars so she couldn't say no


(A/N: I'm not sure weather Japan wanted to buy or trade with China) "Yeah sure. Um..Japan wanted to buy some Chinese territory, but America convinced China to say no. Then, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, an American port on Hawaii. War started and to end it America dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima" Sango explained. The little kids nodded and presentation continued "Ok, now we move on to Inuyasha who has some stuff on California and New York"


"Yeah, California is one of the biggest states in America. It was Hollywood where famous people are. New York is the most popular state in America. It had big building like the Empire State and it HAD the World Trade Center"


One little kid spoke up "Are you sure that's the right information cause my sister lives in America and she said-"


"I don't care what she said, I say what I found out so deal with it you brat. Screw you sister" Inuyasha said


"Inuyasha" said the teacher in a warning tone.


"Why is the world trade center gone?" asked a little girl


Yuka stepped in with her information "They are gone because on September 11, 2001 terrorist destroyed them and thousands of lives. Since then America had been on its guard"


"Oh"

A couple of hours later the teens went to different classrooms, ate lunch, and prepared for the concert. Kagome wore a white kimono with red roses in it. The thick strap adorned her waist and made a ribbon on the back. It came down all the way the floor. Sango wore a light blue plain kimono. The thick strap that she wore around her waist white. Their hair was up high in a ponytail.


"Welcome Parents, and other schools. Now, our talented students will put on a performance from almost all the countries of the world. Now, our first presentation will start with translations of American/ Japanese songs. Translated and performed by Kagome and Sango, two seniors." The principal announced. Kagome and Sango stepped onstage


"Ok, we will be singing two songs. I will sing the first song in Japanese and then Kagome will sing it in English"Sango said


"The song our classmates and ourselves have chosen is called Change the World. In my opinion something we should do. We will be accompanied by Yuka, Miroku, Inuyasha, and Sadako. They will be singing both English and Japanese"


Sango took her place on the microphones while the other four took their places behind her, but enough so the audience could see them. Kagome went offstage and to where the stereo was. She inserted the CD and waited to hit play. Inuyasha grumbled and kicked himself in his mind, how on earth did he agree to this. Oh yeah, he remembered, Kagome's face and the principal's demand. The lively music started and Sango began to sing with the other four.

"After this song you'll hear the English versions of them. This song is my best friend's favorite song. She'll sing it in English anyway. The song is called Every Heart"

Kagome smiled and skipped to the song as Sango only began singing

After that song people we clapping again. Sango announced Kagome and said that the songs will go in the same order. This time Sango pressed play for Kagome. Kagome along with the four singer in the back began the English versions

Once again people clapped and they all bowed. Then, the next presenters began dancing or singing. The afternoon went by and finally at 5:00pm everyone was out of school. On their way home, Kagome sat in the front with Inuyasha. Rin and Sesshomaru sat in back. Rin fell asleep with tummy hardly visible. Kagome fell asleep with her head on the window. It had been a long day, and it dawned on Inuyasha


"Fuck, I don't know anything for the test on Monday and I left my books in school!"


"Ha, your gonna fail"


"Shut up Sess"


"Kinda missed that attitude. You past self was so kind and nice and did good deeds. But, unfortunately the real criminal is back"


"Shut up"
