Chapter 36: Swimming Championship (Epilogue)
(TWO YEARS LATER)
"Inuyasha!" Kagome shouted. Inuyasha smiled with his two year old daughter in his arms.
"I think your mom is mad at either me or your brother and sister" Inuyasha said as he ran over to his wife.
"Get dressed! Kye and Sakura have to be that the pool in thirty minutes"
"Fine" Inuyasha said. He handed Kagome Suki and left to change.
"Your father is a lot to handle. You'll learn" Kagome smiled. Suki made a spit bubble before laughing when it popped.
"Come on. Kye!" Kagome yelled. The now seventeen year old Kye was in front of her in a flash.
"Yeah"
"Take you sister for a minute. I gotta get her bag"
"Ok" Kye said and took his baby sister. He shrugged and went back inside. He took the stroller and put it in the car. He went to get his own bag. Sakura and him were the best on Tokyo's swim team. Today, was the final country competition. Tokyo was one of eight cities that made it to the country's final. Today, Kye wanted to win with his sister and be the best swimmer in Japan. He smiled.
"Kye, have you seen my stupid bag?" Sakura asked. She had grown up in the last two years. She was grown about three inches, her body became curvier, her hair had grown a bit and now reached about two inches above her knees, and her features changed a bit to. Kye had grown and was only a bit shorter then his father, his hair had grown, and his senses became more sharp.
"Nope"
"Well, then help me look for it!"
"Fine" Kye helped his sister look for her bag. "Here" he threw the bag at her.
"Thank you" Sakura said as she threw it in the car. Inuyasha and Kagome came down and drove to where the competition was held.

"This has been a tough competition for all our young swimmers" the announcer said which was conveniently, Toki. The pool was huge and the bleachers were around the pool "Now, we have eliminated a lot and now we will announce the last three cities to finish this. Tokyo, Kyoto, and Sendai!" Everyone cheered. Tokyo's coach approached his team.
"Excellent work. Now Tsuroka twins, go up there and win. This round is all four strokes plus diving. Sakura lane one, Kye lane four. If you two beat the others then we take home the first place prize. Go and make me proud" Kye got up and helped Sakura get up to.
"Look, they're up!" Kagome said. Inuyasha nodded.
"I can see that" Inuyasha said. Suki was on his lap, quietly watching as her big brother and sister stood behind the small diving board.
"In lane one we have the beautiful Sakura Tsuroka from Tokyo!" Sakura blushed at Toki's words. "Lane two we have Teya from Sendai, which is also last time's champion two years ago! Lane three we have Greg from Kyoto! Lane four we have Kye Tsuroka from Tokyo! Lane five we have Debbie from Sendai! and Lane six we have Aki from Kyoto!" Toki finished.
"Now, first lap will be freestyle!" Toki said into the microphone "Take positions!" Everyone got on the small diving board "Ready!" Toki blew the whistle and the six teens dove in to the water. Sakura flipped under water and pushed off from the edge to give her a fast start to go back.
"Kye Tsuroka first! Teya and Sakura are right next to each other and....Sakura second!" Toki mentally cheered Sakura. Sakura climbed out of the water to see Kagome cheer her on. Teya was right next to her with a scowl on her face. "Greg fourth! Debbie fifth! Aki sixth!"
'Tsuroka twins are beating me!' Teya thought as she glared at Sakura through the corner of her eye. Kye could smell her jealousy directed at his sister.
"Next lap, butterfly!" everyone applauded "Take positions...Ready" he blew the whistle.
'Kye sucks at butterfly' Sakura thought 'I can be beat everyone if I take some strength from Kye' Sakura concentrated hard. Their bond had grown fully and now she could use some of her brother's strength to help her. She felt her energy boost and went as fast s she could.
"Sakura first! Teya second! Kye third! Aki fourth! Greg fifth! and Debbie sixth!"

"Third place goes to Kyoto!" Toki presented the two swimmers with medals. "Now, first place goes between Sendai and Tokyo. Winner, however, is...Tokyo!" Toki smiled. Tokyo's coach jumped up and down and his team cheered Kye and Sakura. Kye picked up Sakura and spun around with her.
"I love those kids!" The coach yelled "Come on team, cheer the Tsuroka twins!"
"They won, my babies won!" Kagome yelled. She kissed Inuyasha cheek hard and made a little victory dance with Suki. Toki handed Kye and Sakura each medals and the first place gold big trophy. The raised it up and their coach hugged them both. However, not everyone was happy with the Tsuroka twins winning first place.
"There's a mistake!" Teya shouted "They sucked two years and now they win first place! Kye is a demon and his sister is a miko, they used their powers to win!"
"That's not true!" Sakura yelled. "Your a sorceress, you could've used your powers last time!"
"I'm a what?" Teya said. Sakura shut her mouth.
'Whoops, didn't know her powers haven't awaken yet'
"Me? a sorceress? I'm a human, not a disgusting demon or a girl with witch powers! Both are trash in my book, just like you!" Teya grabbed Sakura's arms. Sakura gasped when she felt Teya's powers pierce her. Enough to knock her out. Teya felt something go to Sakura and then started to close her eyes. Teya gasped, let her go, and pushed her in the 13ft deep water. Teya fell to the ground.
"I-I-my hands did something to her!" Teya yelled. Kye ran over to the pool and tried to see if Sakura was going to come up. Inuyasha jumped down with Kagome and Suki.
"What the fuck did you do to her!?" Kye yelled. He jumped in the water after his sister. Inuyasha grabbed Teya.
"If my daughter gets hurt-" Inuyasha showed the girl his claws. Kye came back up with Sakura. Everyone gasped, but Toki rushed to Inuyasha's side. Inuyasha picked up Sakura and let Kye get out of the water.
"Kagome, what did she do to Sakura?"
"She shocked her. She'll be alright though, it's a sorceress thing" Kagome said examining her daughter. Sakura coughed and sniffed, spitting the water from her mouth.
"I can't move" Sakura said. An old man came towards the microphone.
"Sakura seems to be fine, but that is immediate disqualification for Sendai! They no longer hold second place!"
The Sendai coach grabbed his head and shook it. 'Can't believe this'
"How do you feel?" Kye asked.
"Like I just touched an electric fence and then got a little shocked. Why can't I move?"
"Don't worry, you'll be able to move in about ten minutes. Elizabeth use to do this when she didn't like someone" Kagome said.
(20 MINUTES LATER)
Kye and Sakura were packing their stuff. They changed and now the pool was calm. Mayu came towards them. Her dark green hair had grown a bit, she got a bit taller, her body took a nice shape, and her Kye obssesivness left her.
"Hey, you two were awesome"
"I didn't smell you" Kye said. He kissed his girlfriend's lips softly.
"Must've been the chlorine" Mayu said. Kye nodded and finished packing. Mayu went over to Sakura "So, did Toki ask you out?" Sakura blushed.
"Yes"
"Oh, what did you say!?"
"I said ok. He's really nice, I like him"
"He's fine in my book" Kye said.
"I wouldn't ask your permission anyway"
"I canceled your other dates with some other guys!" Kye smirked.
"You did that!?"
"Problem?"
"You idiot!" Sakura hit him with her bag "They dumped me because of you!"
"Psch, like I care. Hey, haven't done anything with Toki yet"
"You better not!" Sakura yelled.
"Hey, we gotta go home!" Inuyasha yelled.
"Yeah, my mom is waiting for me outside to. Bye Kye, Sakura" Mayu said. She kissed his cheek and left. "Bye Mr. and Mrs. Tsuroka and bye Suki!"
"Bye Mayu" Inuyasha said. "Let's go you two"
"Dad, Kye was the one that cancelled all my dates"
"So, I helped him" Inuyasha said.
"DAD!" Sakura yelled. Kagome shook her head.
"Let's go" Kagome pulled Inuyasha's ear and dragged him along. Suki laughing at her father. Kye and Sakura were behind them, arguing.
Sometimes your worst mistake can turn out for the best. In rare cases of course. This case, however, it turned out for the best. They thought it was a mistake, but look what they got out of it. Friendship, marriage, Kye and Sakura, and then of course Suki.

"I am so not talking to you!" Sakura yelled as she slammed the door on Kye's face. Kye gasped as the door stopped a millimeter befre hitting his nose.
"Keh" Kye crossed his arms over his chest and retreated to his own room. Sakura was mad, and when she was mad she was scary. 'I'm not scared!'
Kagome shook her head as she finished making dinner. Inuyasha played with Suki while his sensitive dog ears picked up his son and daughter's argument.
"You know, you really shouldn't have told her that"
"What'd I do?" Inuyasha asked as he stopped playing to look up at his mate.
"Hello? Did you not listen you yourself?" Kagome asked "You told her that you and Kye blew off all her dates"
"If this has a point...?"
"Ugh, you have got to be the most brainless father on this planet!" Kagome yelled and stomped out of the kitchen, throwing Inuyasha the cooking spoon as she left. It flew over Inuyasha's head and landed on the floor. Inuyasha looked at his tiny daughter.
"I think she got mad" Inuyasha concluded as she got up to find Kagome. "Feh.."
Oh yeah, he's definatly brainless...

Yay, finally over! Okay, a few things…Thank you for reading my story, I've had a lot of fun writing it and now well…blah. I will start to re-work on `Ardency' Here's the summary. It is already posted with it's first chapter.
