Ch.1 New Partner

The moon rose high above the trees as the rain poured down at the lifeless body. The wounds of the woman were barely visible in the night sky yet blood still rose to the surface. Her raven black hair wet from blood and drops of rain both running down her face. She lay on the ground that was turning into mud. Man she was tuff to bring down, Kikyo, a miko that turned bad. And they said she would never die. Feh, yea right! Ring, ring, damn phone! It’s like clockwork.

“Hello?”

“Inuyahsa great work, report to headquarters for your next mission.” Hanging up the phone, Inuyasha walked away from the dead body and did as he was told. Don't ever upset Finrell was what he was thinking. Last time he did he was at a spotlight of rage for months. A couple of minutes walking and he was at his car, an impulse red Toyota corolla xrs 2005. It was nothing compared to the other cars he owned. He only took this one because it was red (to hide the blood that so often hit it) He opened his door and he slide the key in its place and drove off to his destination, Headquarters. What a life he kept thinking. He was tired as hell and only wanted to go to sleep. Trying to avoid as much traffic as possible he made it back in less than an hour. He parked his car in his spot and walked in the extremely huge building.

“I didn't think I would see you this late at night. What brings you here Inuyasha? “It was Sakura. She always seemed so cheerful, even at this late hour. It always made Inuyasha mad that she was always in a good mood, unlike him. Her fire-red hair didn't go very well with her brown eyes but needless to say her figure was curved just right. And her tail was, well cute as any tail could get.

“Just finished off a file case that was sent to me and was called back immediately after that.”

“I see. Must be good being Finrell's favorite agent huh? "

“Feh, if you only knew.” She giggled and went off doing whatever she did at this time. Inuyasha wasn't always at Headquarters so he really didn't know what people did while he was away.

“Hey mutt-face you got called back huh?” Great it’s Koga. The last person Inuyasha wanted to see right now as his blue eyes always cutting into Inuyasha's gold ones. He always wore his black hair in a ponytail and thought that every woman wanted him like no other.

“Still mad I got Kikyo's case and you didn't? You’re a sad and pathetic wolf. “Koga’s only response was a flick of his brownie brown tail and a glare that would have killed Inuyasha, if only looks could do such a thing. He walked away towards Finrell's office. Inuyasha knew it would be hours before he would be able to talk to Finrell now. Koga always had a way of coming out with a case after hours of begging Finrell. He always wanted to look good. Inuyasha sat down at the nearest chair he could find, only to be haunted by questions. What did he want now? Inuyasha hasn't had a break in ages. Is he mad about something or could it be that he will be kind as to give the break Inuyasha longed for? No fucking way that was going to happen. He could dream couldn't he? Only 30 minutes have passed with a slight sound that could be heard as yelling coming from Finrell's office. When will Koga just give up? Its 12:45 at night and Inuyasha wants to get the hell out of here. Down the hall, though it was almost hard to hear, Inuyasha heard the phone ring and Sakura picking it up.

“Hi Demon Inc. what can I do for you? I see, a demon eating kids. That’s the 10th one this month! Don't worry we will get someone on the case. Just tell me your location and I will send one of our demon agents there at once.” A while after she hung up the phone. She then headed towards Inuyasha with a case file in her hands.

“Well Sakura, guess Koga's got himself a case huh?”

“Yea but I hope he can handle it.”

”What kind of demon is it?”

”It’s a lizard demon. Tough ones those are. Good thing this planet has demons such like us right? “Inuyasha only nodded while Sakura passed him. Poor Sakura entered Finrell's office only to exit with Koga at her heals.

”Thanks babe! See ya later.” Koga turned to Inuyasha standing proud and said, “Later mutt-face” He then ran off like the true coward he was.

”He’s waiting for you, so don't just sit there! Get up and when you get out of there tell me about your new case... “Inuyasha just wanted to get this over and done with. He didn't even bother to listen to Sakura finish her sentence.

”Yea, sure I can Sakura.” And with that Inuyasha disappeared into Finrell's office only to come face to face with his new partner, the lovely miko Kagome.
