A/N~ I love rock music! I'm listening to 102.9 the buzz right now. It's the ten o'clock news between Hubastank~the same direction and some other band which I think sucks. Now they're playing recognize by flawed. I love this song, well enough of my rambling, here ya go!

CH.2

Hakaku searched the area Ginta had been assigned to for about an hour when he finally picked up Kagome's scent.

'Ginta must have followed her.'

Hakaku figured as he followed Kagome's scent into the forest.

Hakaku hadn't traveled far into the forest when he came upon Ginta's corpse.

'Uh oh, Kouga's not gonna be too happy about this at all.'

Hakaku thought bitterly as he dialed Kouga's number.

"Came Kouga's irritated voice through the phone.

"It's Hakaku. I've got some disturbing information."

Hakaku said seriously.

"What is it?"

Kouga asked noticing Hakaku's intense voice.

"I followed Kagome's scent into the forest and found Ginta's corpse-"

"What?"

Kouga interupted.

"Yea, and your not gonna believe who his executioner was."

"Who?"

Kouga asked curiously.

"Inu Yasha, I'm picking his scent up everywhere."

Hakaku answered grimly.

"What?! That worthless half breed? He's supposed to be dead! What about Kagome?"

Kouga asked obviously really pissed off.

"I don't know. I don't see her anywhere. But I'm picking up the scent of her blood on Ginta's claws. Even if she is still alive, it's obvious that she's injured and could be dying as we speek."

Hakaku explained.

"Alright, give me your location. I'll gather some men and meet you there immedietly."

Kouga comanded as Hakaku gave him the location.

Inu Yasha ran through the forest heading back to the cave with the deer he had just caught when he heard voices coming from his right.

Again, curiosity got the better of him as he quietly walked through the trees tell he came to the same spot where he had found the girl.

He watched as another wolf demon looked down apon the one he had killed earlier.

'What's he doin?'

Inu Yasha wondered.

He was about to move closer in hopes of getting a better view when three other wolf demons arrived, one he recognized as Kouga.

"That worthless hanyou. Not onlt has he slaughtered Ginta, he's taken my woman! Call Hojo and tell him to get his ass down here."

Kouga demanded.

"What should I tell him, sir?"

Hakaku asked.

"Tell him....it's time to find his peace offering."

Kouga said, pausing to find the right words.

"Yes Kouga."

Hakaku answer like a obsessive buttler.

"Hojo? That's 'The Executioners' leader. Hojo and Kouga are still in contact? Have they made an allience? Wait, Kouga did say that it was time for Hojo to hunt down his peace offering. Does that mean that the girl I saved is a paece offering between 'The Tribe' and "The executioners'?'

Inu Yasha pondered, taking his leave and heading back to the cave before Kouga could catch his scent.

"Yime for some payback."

Inu Yasha smirked.

"Hello?"

Hojo's voice answered.

"Sir, this is Hakaku Tiaka. Kouga has instructed me to tell you that it's time to track down your peace offering."

Hakaku explained.

"Perfect. What is the location?"

Hojo asked with a dangerous smirk on his face as he listened to the location Hakaku was giving him.

"Tell Kouga I'll be there directly."

Hojo said, hanging up the phone before Hakaku could answer.

'Time to go bitch hunting.'

Hojo thought as he gathered some men.

Kagome slowly opened her eyes.

She looked straight up at the ceiling to see that she was in a cave.

She jolted up, only to be stoped by a peircing pain in her chest.

She looked down to see that she was wearing a dark blue shirt that was probably two sizes or so too big for her.

'What happened? Where am I?'

Kagome wondered silently as she hissed in pain and wrapped an arm around her stomache.

Kagome tried to ignore the pain that was serging through her body as she attempted to stand up.

She wobbled a little bit at first, then when she felt she could walk she took a shakystep towards the water pool that caught her eye.

'How did I get here?'

Kagome wondered as she tried to take another step toward the water, the pain from her injury causing every step to be painful.

'What about that demon? Did he tell Kouga where I am? Whaqt if he's on his way right now?'

Kagome began to panic.

'What if he is coming and he's bringing Hojo with him?!'

Kagome thought, fear showing on her face as her legs buckled underneath her.

Inu Yasha jumped up to the ledge and started to walk in the cave when he saw that the once sleeping girl was awake and from what he saw trying to walk to the spring.

'So she's awake, now maybe I can get some answers.'

Inu Yasha thought as he watched the girl.

'Looks like she's in pain. It's probably time to change her bandages.'

Inu Yasha guessed as he watched the girls face change from frustration, to confusion, to panic, and then to fear.

'What could she be thinking about?'

He wondered as he watched her legs cave in.

He droped the deer in his hands and sped into the room, catching her before she hit the floor and looked down at her.

Kagome slowly opened her eyes when she flet a pair of strong arms wrap around her.

Kagome looked up to see a pair of beautiful amber eyes.

Kagome thought she'd get lost in those eyes, then she realized it.

She was injured, in a strange cave, and in th arms of an impossibley hot but unpredictable demon. What else was there to do but...

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Kagome screamed as she tried to push the man away.

Inu Yasha's ears flattened against his head at the sound of the girls scream as he quickly put a hand over her mouth.

"Shut up, wench! i have sensative ears damnit!"

Inu Yasha exclaimed.

Kagome quieted at his remark, which drew her attention to his ears.

'Wow, are those real? They're so cute!'

Kagome thought, her hand slowly moving towards his ears.

'I think I...wanna....touch 'em!'

Kagome decided as she gently grabed one of his ears and started to rub it.

Inu Yasha stared down at the girl who was currently rubbing his ear.

'She feels...good. Wait! Did I just think that? I don't even know her! Stop thinking like that!'

Inu Yasha mentally yelled at himself, not realizing the low purring sound coming from his throat.

'Is he puring? That's so cute!'

Kagome thought as she continued to rub his ear.

Inu Yasha suddenly realized what was happening and quickly grabed her wrist and pulled her hand away from his ear.

"Stop that!"

Inu yasha demanded as he picked her up and placed her back on his bed.

Kagome frowned slightly but brushed it off.

"Who are you? And how did I get here?"

Kagome asked when she realized he wasn't going to say anything.

"Are you on medication?"
Inu Yasha asked ignoring her questions.

"Huh? Why would you ask that?"

Kagome asked giving him a confused look.

"How do you go from being scared of me, to rubbing my ears, then turning into ms. Inquisitor and asking a bunch of questions in less than five minutes if you arent on medication?"

Inu Yasha asked, slightly confusing himself.

"Huh?"

Kagome asked.

"I lost you somewhere after me. Inquisitor."

Kagome explained, trying to sit up.

Inu Yasha sighed.

"Forget it. I think it's time to change your bandages again."

Inu Yasha said, lightly pushing Kagome back down.

Kagome reluctantly complied.

'Wait a minute, again?'

Kagome said, realizing what he said.
