Hey everyone sorry for the wait… things have been going on and my word wasn't working on my computer… it still isn't… so I am typing this on my laptop….

Unexpected happenings

 

Chapter 3

 

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Five years later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

 

The light of the full moon shone upon two solitary figures. The taller form was around 6'3” while the shorter was about 3' even. The two figures paused, the taller looking around with narrowed eyes, eyes that were steadily turning red. The smaller form knowing what was happening made no movement. The only movement came from his long silver-blue hair and the slight twitch of his white dog-ears.

 

The larger form shot forward like a bullet its blue form moving with grace and agility. There was a loud scream, filled with blood lust. The form returned holding up two rabbits, while the smaller ran up and gripped to its mother's leg.

 

Reiko sent Hiten to go get some firewood, after he left her eyes wandered to the full moon above them. The moon reminded of her son Hiten, and somehow, though she never met him, Hiten's father. Hiten had a blue crescent moon on his forehead, something he probably got from his unknown father seeing how she obviously didn't have one. He had long silver-blue hair going to his center back. He had amber eyes and his skin was always pale no matter how long they were out in the sun. He had two light blue markings on each cheek and fangs and claws. Some of his attributes he didn't get until he was at least a year old.

 

Hiten wasn't the only one who experienced changes though. Reiko had noticed that a couple days after giving birth, all her pregnant fat and stretch marks were gone. After a couple weeks she was skinnier than she was when the whole ordeal began. Her hair had gone from the golden blond to a midnight blue and grew to her waist. Her eyes went from a deep forest green to a colbat blue. She grew taller, more defined. Dark blue markings were on her wrists and on her cheeks. Then her ears turned into elf-like ears, and then she grew fangs and claws. Her senses grew tenfold, better than any man and matching up to animals.

 

She heard a noise from a bush, but her nose told her it was Hiten. Her sense of smell was one of her enhightened senses. Her eyesight, hearing and her physical enhancement were others. As she stacked the wood and lit it with her blue fire magic. Watching Hiten's excited look she knew he would get his own powers soon enough. She didn't know what they would be, but she had a feeling they would probably not be from her. She knew what they were though, she wasn't dumb. They were demons, and from the way they traveled, to them they were the only ones.

 

Lindsey had soon kicked them out of her house soon after Hiten's birth. Even she who loved abnormalities could not stand to have two freaks in her home. And so began their search for others of their kind. The only traveled; living off of the things that nature offered them.

 

Hiten, having finished his dinner, crawled over to her and laid in her lap. They sat there under a tree watching the stars until they both fell asleep, nature's songs luring them to peaceful slumber.

Kagome sped out of her class and school. Angry yells followed her along with whispers. She ignored it though to focused on getting home and packing for the feudal era. Inuyasha was gonna be mad like always about her being late, leaving at all really. Didn't he understand why she stayed in school, and kept going to her time to go to it? She didn't know what would happen if she just drop out of school and stayed in the feudal era. She was in college now and if she were gone half as much as she was in high school they would kick her out. She wanted a backup plan incase Inuyasha did tell her to go to her time and stay there for good.

 

With all of these thoughts going threw her mind, she didn't sense the two demon auras following her home.

 

“I told you I smelt demon! But you didn't believe me did you.” Reiko hissed at her son, jumping to another roof.

 

Hiten said nothing as he watched the girl. He had grown quieter in his aging, more enclosed and anti-social. It was to be expected though, she had tried to shield him from the harshness of the world, but there were still times when they were spotted and chased away with guns and such. Once Hiten was actually hit and she had to care for him herself. Now they wore black cloaks to hide their body, faces and scent.

 

They followed the girl up to her home where she ran in. They stood out on the branches of an old, giant tree. Some yelling came from the home and some crashes, then the girl ran out to a old, run-down well, a giant pack thrown on her shoulders. They waited but she didn't come out again. They jumped down and went into the well house; she wasn't in there so they followed her scent into the well herself. They looked to each other before jumping into the well. A pink purple light surrounded them, and then their feet touched the ground. They looked up to see a blue sky. Then they heard the yells at the top of the well. Looking at each other again, they jumped out to investigate.

How dare she! What did it matter? This school thing? What did she need it for any way? She was going to stay here with the others and me after all.

 

Right?

 

We had defeated Naraku and restored the jewel shards. Now we traveled around helping villages that are in need, and well helping people I guessed.

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Normal POV *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

 

He sensed Kagome before he smelt her. The scent did reach his nose as he sprinted to the well. Vanilla and the sweet smell that was Kagome calmed him somewhat. He got to the well and reached in, grabbing her by the backpack. Putting her on her feet, there was a moment of silence, as they looked at each other glad that the other was back. But it only lasted a second before…

 

“Why do you always have to go to that school anyway?”

 

“Cause, you jerk, I need to get a good education so that I can become an independent person!”

 

And so they fought, bringing out Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. They watched as the two fought and bickered. It was Shippo who noticed the two beings on the side of the well first.

 

“Umm…. Inuyasha….” Shippo stuttered, having an angry hanyou looking at you was no way to live a safe life.

 

“WHAT!!!”

 

“It seems we have company.” Miroku announced, tone of voice the same as if he were saying their tea was done.

 

Inuyasha and Kagome looked at the cloaked forms on the well. One was crouched down while the other stood, hood facing them so it was probably looking at them. Inuyasha, sensing a fight, put his hand on Tetseiga's hilt. Just as he did the crouched figure pounced. The others drew back not wanting to get in the middle of a fight. The other figure continued to watch as Inuyasha and its companion duked it out.

 

Inuyasha tried to hit the demon but missed. The demon kicked the weapon out of Inuyasha's hand and immediately drew back when it thought it had rendered him helpless.

 

“Iron Reaver Soul Stealer!”

 

The attack was dodged but not before ripping the cloak off of the form, revealing a blue haired she demon. Her claws and teeth bared, and eyes turning red from a blue. She wore a VERY skimpy dress too.

 

The dress was tight around the upper body, and opened into two side slits on either side of her hips. A blue obi, dark blue contrasting with the light blue color of her clothing, tied around her hips and waist. Long creamy legs shown through the slits and it was made from Chinese.

 

Inuyasha could smell a faint but strong scent on her. The scent made him get angry as he ran for the Tetseiga and use the wind scar on her.

 

As the blades shot from the sword, she felt a strong pulsing in her neck. Then she was surrounded in a bright green barrier. She screamed, a hot, tearing, burning feeling came from her neck, the same place which caused her pain and pleasure fifteen years ago, at her sons birth. Though at the time that knowledge didn't come to her.

 

Reiko fell to the ground, her neck bleeding from where her claws had dug in. The others watched as the other form went to her, kneeling next to her.

 

She opened her eyes, just a little bit, and whispered, “…Hiten…”

 

Something grabbed him from his mother, and then there was a ripping noise, and the now useless cloak fell to the ground. The others looked at him, a fear and amazement shining in their eyes, and he had a feeling they knew who his unknown parent was.

 

He stood there the exact replica of Sesshoumaru, with different colorings and dog-like ears atop his head. His face was showing more emotion than the demon lord also.

 

He looked at them un-trustfully as the schoolgirl stepped towards his mother. A growl erupted from his throat, causing one from Inuyasha.

 

“I only want to help her, she's losing a lot of blood.” Kagome whispered.

 

He looked at the form one more time before jumping over and lifting her. He looked at Kagome expectantly, and sensing his growing impatience, led him to Kaede's hut.

 

Grumbling Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's bag before following them thinking.

 

`Sesshoumaru has a mate!'
