Chapter 1: Night Of Passion

Kagome was awoken by a small figure crawling into bed. She looked down to see her daughter, Sora curled up next to her. Kagome watched as Sora went back to bed. The young three-year-old was always crawling in bed with her so Kagome wasn't surprised. Her adventure had ended in the Sengoku Jidai almost four years before and she had gone home. She couldn't go back, not even to see her friends. She couldn't face him, couldn't face the look in his eyes he would have if she returned. If he found out what she had hidden from him, he wouldn't forgive her. She remembered the last time she saw him.

Kagome sat on a cliff that overlooked the village. She could see Inu-Yasha, Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Shippo talking with Kaede. She smiled. it was finally over. Naraku had been defeated and the Shikon jewel was once again restored. Kagome looked down to see the jewel in her hands. Surprisingly enough, Inu-Yasha hadn't asked her to hand the jewel over to him. She noticed that the sun was setting so she began her trip back down to the village. A celebration was held that night to honor the friends for the defeat of Naraku. Kagome hadn't seen Inu-Yasha all night so she decided she would go find him. What she found him; he was at the edge of the village with Kikyo. They were talking in hushed whispers. Confused and upset Kagome ran up to where she had been earlier and cried. She was so loud that she didn't hear Inu-Yasha come up the cliff.

"Why are you crying, Kagome?"

Kagome looked up at Inu-Yasha.

"Where's Kikyo?"

"Gone, she came to me tonight to ask me to give her final rest. I did so and returned her ashes to Kaede and came up here to find you."

"Oh," Kagome said softly.

Her tears had been stopped, momentarily. Inu-Yasha came and sat next to her. The two of them remained silent. They both wanted to savor the moment of just being together. Kagome looked up at the sky. Looking at the stars made her realize how much she loved Inu-Yasha, but it also made her realize how much she would never have him to love. Tears streamed down her cheek before she could stop them.

"Damn it Kagome Stop crying," Inu-Yasha yelled shocking her.

"Sit," Kagome said as she began to run down the path that led back to the village.

Instead of going back to the village, she headed to the God Tree. She sat down and continued to cry. Once again she failed to realize that Inu-Yasha was in the clearing.

"Kagome," he whispered.

"Go away Inu-Yasha."

"Not until you tell me why you're crying."

"Because, I...," she started.

"You what?"

"I love you Inu-Yasha and I know I'll never be able to have you because I know you don`t love me," Kagome cried bitterly.

Inu-Yasha stood in shock. Kagome loves me he thought. He saw her tears and it made his heart break that she would think that. He lifted her face from her hands.

"Why would you think that Kagome?"

"Because you love Kikyo."

"I loved Kikyo. I can't forget my feelings for her, but she wasn't the same when she came back. She was too cold hearted. I had to let her go."

He wrapped his arms around Kagome.

"But as far as love goes Kagome, this is how I feel about you," Inu-Yasha said as he lifted Kagome's face and kissed her softly.

Kagome was a little shocked, but she kissed him back and savored the moment. She slid her arms around his neck. They kissed until they were both breathless.

"I love you, Kagome," he said as he kissed her again.

Kagome fell back to the grass. Inu-Yasha never once broke the kiss. When they did come apart, they stared into each other's eyes.

"Kagome," Inu-Yasha said.

"Yes,"

"Would you mate with me?"

Kagome looked into Inu-Yasha's eyes before she answered.

"Yes, Inu-Yasha."

Inu-Yasha smiled and kissed Kagome passionately. He brought his hand up to her breast and caused her to gasp. He took the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth. Kagome moaned. Inu-Yasha used his claws to cut her clothing until she was bare beneath him. He saw Kagome smile wickedly. She brought her hand up and put it into the top of his kimono. She peeled it off of him. She brought her head up and licked his nipples. Inu-Yasha gasped in pleasure from the action. He pushed her down and kissed her again. His mouth left hers and traveled down her body to her breast. He took one into his mouth and sucked on it. His tongue lapped at her sensitive skin. She moaned at his actions. He left her for a moment and she whimpered in protest.

"It's alright, Kagome. I'm right here. I just have to take off the Tetsusaiga," Inu-Yasha said in an attempt to stop her protests.

He rejoined her after he took off the Tetsusaiga and his pants. Inu-Yasha kissed her and started a trail down her neck to her breasts. He teased her as he ran his tongue over her sensitive nipples. She arched her body as if trying to get deeper in his mouth. He then trailed his tongue from her breasts to her navel. He darted his tongue briefly into her navel causing her to gasp and then went lower. She cried out at the first touch of his tongue in her most sensitive area.

"Inu-Yasha, please," Kagome said as he continued his assault.

"Please what? I want to here you say it Kagome. I want to know that you truly want this," he said.

"I want you inside of me Inu-Yasha. I want you so deep that I'll never get you out," Kagome whispered.

Inu-Yasha positioned himself above her.

"It might hurt at first Kagome," he said.

She nodded. He entered her and there was a sharp, but brief pain. She cried out and dug her nails into his arm. He whispered words of love to her and soothed her as he waited for her to adjust to him. He slowly began to move. Their cries filled the night as they both climaxed and then it became quiet. They whispered to each other and then fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning they knew that Kagome had to leave. Kagome went to the village after she bathed and dressed. She said goodbye to Sango, Miroku, Kilala, Kaede, and then Shippo. They all cried and hugged each other. Kagome began to head for the well. She heard a rustle of leaves and turned to see Inu-Yasha. She walked over to him and looked into his eyes. She took off the rosary that had held him captive since the first day she had met him. She gave it to him and the Shikon Jewel.

"Use the jewel wisely Inu-Yasha. It's yours now to protect."

He nodded and looked at both the rosary and the jewel. She turned to leave, but he grabbed her hand and tugged her to him. His lips captured hers in one last kiss.

"I love you, Kagome. Goodbye."

With that he took off. Kagome turned away as the tears began to fall. She walked to the well and jumped in. The last thing she uttered before she left were never heard by anyone, but Kagome had to say what she felt.

"I love you Inu-Yasha."

Sora had come out of that blissful night they had. Kagome always told her stories of her father and never treated her differently than any other kid. Sora had silver hair like her father's. Her ears were human like and her eyes were brown. She did have claw-like nails that got her in trouble, but that was about it. Kagome looked down at her daughter one last time before laid down and fell asleep once again.
